Quickly pop in to say well done to anyone achieving anything in the heat!Yesterday I started early (like 6am) on the Greenhouse, but have lost one panel which shattered
, hopefully I can complete it this weekend. DD1 has been helping and has mowed the front lawn and decluttered lots of weeds from the path, unfortunately she's not good at putting away!
Back out into the garden again early (6:30 ish), by mid morning I'll be coming in and wilting!
Edit: 10am and it's too hot to do much outside, but all the greenhouse glass is now out and stacked, a couple of loads of laundry done, and a couple of tubs of weeds and prunings etc decluttered. I'll take them to the tip later. DD1 has done a stunning job on 3/4 of the path and run out of steam for today. I've told both DDs that when they are helpful and useful I'll unlock their Mobile phone restrictions for a time, and the sooner we have an unpacked sorted home after the move, the sooner we can adopt a feline. Parenting is all bribery and corruption!

Great news you can drive again, vulpix.
Sorted one bookshelf and half of a second in little bedroom so OH now has space for his books. A few more papers found to go through at some other time as wanting to sort out actual space first.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅13 -
Vulpix , great news about driving again.
Another pen finished and some paper declutter. An early start with a letter I was advised to send as part of one of the multi year frogs! Sent.
Have a traditional deckchIr but with arms , early 20thc needing wood repairs and recovering. The fabric available online is wrong size so decided I will never.get round to it and prob never use it so offered out. Someone wants it so of course I now think that I do ! I could prob do the cover with more sewing done but if I don't use it better for someone to do as they like.

Bathroom cupboard done. A few bits of rubbish binned and other things moved to different cupboards where there is better space for them and like is with like. Nothing decluttered as such as it was done a few years ago and hasn’t built back up.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅11

Hi, I am a work widow this weekend. Mr V went to work yesterday and pre recorded everything and came home last night. Most strange. He was gone at the crack of dawn to set up equipment for a gig tonight. He is also doing other "electrical" things as he is in the carnival today and will be blasting music. He is out working tomorrow too. I will stay at home in the cool. The wood and stream are very helpful in a heat wave.
I haven't had chance to use the car yet, but I will.
I chucked out the usual detritus collected in a kitchen drawer yesterday. Elastic bands, broken key ring etc , etc. I can start a new elastic band collection at the next house.
I was thinking along the same lines as you yesterday Mrs SD about what is actually used in the kitchen. I have a full drawer of utensils. A couple are used all the time, some are used occasionally. Some used every Preston Guild. I gave a lot of duplicates to the Ukranian lady last year. I will give it some thought today.
Another one here who doesn't use a recipe. After all these years I still fall down with cake making. You actually do need a recipe for cakes!

I'm struggling today (as is DD) as it's just too hot out there. Managed to do some decluttering today, but lots still to go through and I'm still on the upstairs. Not done anything consistently though and I've done random bits and pieces in each room. Hopefully I'll be able to go back and do a full room next week when the kids are out from under my feet.5 - bath toys no longer played with (charity bag)

A busy day today
I have made up more of my craft stock into cards. Packed up a bag for life with bits for anotjer lady at craft group to use up and make cards for charity. Sold loads this week at the club so need to keep going. Also put 2 books out to go for book sale. Won't count all this until it leaves bit feeling much more organised although it doesn't look it yet.

Not sure if I counted 2 suncream used up - been hanging around too long, ood food.
Someone came to pick up the deck chair and cover. Had to go into the shed to get it and just so glad to see something go, would have been a mistake to keep. Some paper out.

It was too hot to do anything yesterday by the time we were back from town so we mostly sat around watching and playing with the kitten and chatting. Today has been even warmer but I was prepared this time and I did my "5 things out" first thing after breakfast.

Hi all, a quick post as I am exhausted. I didn't sleep at all last night and finally gave it up as a bad job at 6.30. By 8 I had a load of washing on the line and had done an hour in the garden weeding and chopping. I had a bit of a break for a cuppa and some breakfast and then tackled the bamboo. I kept going until 11.30 as I was able to be in the shade but the sun came round and within a short time I was too hot so came in, it was 28° then, had a cool shower, made a drink and had a lie down with the fan going while reading. I did drop off to sleep and got a couple of hours but woke again very hot as the sun was shining through the window, now 33°. Had another cool shower 😁. OH was asleep on the couch 😂. I got the washing sorted, emptied the bathroom bin, the bedroom bin and lr bin, sorted a salad for tea and cleared a couple of things off the planner. Then back outside to water ln's pots and baskets. Then watched the footy on tv and messed about on the laptop but couldn't concentrate so heading for bed.
Hugs to everyone who would like one
