Spent 30 mins looking for something which had been in front of me all the time..... blaming the heat14

Hi all
@Muddy_Walker lovely photos big hugs
@Vulpix amazing work, love it 😁
Yesterday I went to cake decorating, I will post a photo of what we are making in a bit, going to finish them off next week but one good thing is we need some ribbons so I dug out a bag I have lurking around and have sorted enough for everyone if they need them and have put them in a little tin in my cake bag to take next week 😁. Ribbon is in the same category as buttons for me, just love it 😁. Delivered baby blanket and bits to E so they have left the house at least 😂.
Then off to the dentist where I apologised for stalking him having had 3 appointments in the last couple of months 😂. The tooth was removed quite easily but half my face was frozen resulting in dribbled tea down my white t shirt when I got home 😂. It took hours to unfreeze but I am now pain free and able to get to sleep without a painkiller 😁.
Called in to OH's house on my way home to collect the post and check the water situation after the work done by the utilities company. All good so OH can now organise for the shower to be replaced 😁
Just as I was faffing about with the tea I got a phone call from the energy company technician about my smart meter. This technician had already been last week but wasn't able to sort it out as although he knows what to do he's not allowed to do it as he's only a technician and it has to be done by an engineer, elf and safety regs. Apparently the job had been given to him again not an engineer, who knows why, possibly because I had actually raised a complaint though they hadn't contacted me to tell me he was coming this time or I could have saved him the trip. He had sent a report in last week and yesterday had quite a long text conversation with his office relaying what was going on and even checked my bill to see that I was indeed getting billed on estimated readings. Ha said not to wait for them to arrange an appointment for an engineer but to phone them. When I had regained some control over my mouth I did contact them, well a lady in India, and I have arranged for an engineer to come on 13th August 🙄.
Then I got a phone call from an ex colleague asking for union advice. By the time that was sorted it was time for tea 😂 so nothing else done 😂
Today started quite well, put a load of jeans in the machine and decided to change the bedding. Fighting with the king size quilt in the heat even though it was quite early nearly did for me 😂. Back to the washing machine only to discover OH had put a load of whites in that I had put to soak in washing soda, and left another load by the machine. Naturally the whites had to go back into soak as they had only been in about an hour and some of the stains were still visible. Eventually got everything washed and on the line but I had to have a sit down in a darkened room for a while 😂. Managed to book a chiropodist appointment but not until 21st August 🙄, been trying to get an appointment for about a month. Then I don't know what possessed me but I decided to make a shepherdless pie for tea rather than a salad 😂. It was tasty though and I have enough left over for a meal tomorrow. After tea I watered ln's pots and baskets as she is away until Sunday. 2 loads of washing sorted, the rest is still out. Absolutely nothing else was done 😂
I am now lying on the bed with the quilt folded down and the fan going. No doubt the quilt will end up on the floor 😂
Right time to finish this long post and say goodnight 😁
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Hi again, here is the photo of what we are making in cake decorating
Take care everyone18 -
- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday has been another hot & humid day with a high of 29°C & low of 19°C
DH had an early appointment at the hospital to see the heart specialist - left home at 08:45. Arrived just after 09:30, had an ECG & saw the doctor at 10:00. His heart is OK but he will be sent a BP monitor which he will need to keep on for 24 hours & then a decision will be made about whether or not extra meds are needed. DH phoned 13:00 to say he was on the 4th of 8 buses & phoned again at 14:00 after all 8 buses & now on DLR. He got home 14:40. Meanwhile I have done sweet nothing apart from clear down more programmes from TV planner - now have 95% available. DH is making beans on toast for him & my DSis. I had a cheese & marmalade sandwich about 16:30 - too hot to be hungry - just thirsty. I ended up having a couple of slices of toast & marmalade. Wudupa.

Good morning,
Ten things decluttered yesterday- I counted each black bag of grass clippings/weeds/prunings as one thing. I am trying to remove little "hot spots" here and there as I find them apart from the downstairs bookcase that I just keep shutting the doors and drawers of 🙄
Today I need to put away some kitten stuff off the kitchen counters as we're more organised with that now, then ds wants to go into town for a few bits so I'll take him to save him walking and waiting for buses in the heat (plus I get to look in a few shop windows). I'm also hoping to manage a little bit of weeding at some point today.
@vulpix your bench is lovely 😊
Mrs S_D 8 buses 😲
@Muddy_Walker sending some more hugs.

Hi - just a quick post to say I am back from 5 days in Portugal. DD and I stayed with my brother who lives there. Great time. DD drove me back home late last night and has to go again at lunchtime. Washing load 2 almost finished and one more to go. Tiling has been done and looks great. Just some blinds to sort and skirting to paint. I will post again when I've caught up on 138 posts from whilst I was away.
