Back again after actually going out 😂 I left at 14:55 & was back 16:10. A lovely change as we had extra buses being diverted down our road 👏 Banked June’s PB win cheque, got some cash, popped into M&S for Jersey potatoes then into boots for interdental brushes. Detoured to postbox to post birthday cards & then bus home. DH only beat me home by 20 minutes as lots of traffic. DH made me a coffee & I settled down to sort my accounts before resuming the cheerleading. Accounts done + put amount in Terramundi Pot for August 1p Challenge. Dinner was chicken fried in oil & butter, boiled potatoes & peas. Quite light & delicious 😋Paid milkman.

Good morning good people,
Ten things declutered yesterday as i had to move things on the boittom shelf of the craft room bookcase. These items included a cross stitch book for the charity shop and a pack of cat treats that belonged to our other cat but that the kitten is too small to have yet.
Today will be a gardening day so that if the predicted warm weekend happens then I can sit in the garden and admire my handy work 😁 I shall mostly be decluttering grass and weeds. Ds has a solar fountain next to the garden swing which the birds have been loving so we're making sure that we top it up every day. It also has stones for bees to land on but Mrs Blackbird taking a ten minute bath may put them off 😄11 -
Good morning chums, gosh it was hot overnight last night and due to be even hotter today apparently.
very little wind at all and it’s already 23c and rising
found it hard to sleep last night so may be the odd nanny nap today
really loved to see Djokovic get through yesterday
He is an amazing player as he’s getting on in years ‘tennis wise’
I’d love to see him win once more so I have everything crossed for him
The young Italian player he is facing is also extremely good so the semi final will be a great match I think
Eldest DD is winging her way to Zante at the moment her intention is to totally relax by the pool with her kindle. Her and her husband go there every year for 10 days of complete idleness to recharge their batteries as they both have stressful jobs at homeNot too sure what’s on the agenda today as it will be very warm so I my just be doing some relaxing myself after all the rushing around yesterdayNo shopping to get and far too hot for housework so looks like a lazy day for me to recharge my batteries as well
Keep cool chums

PS only a couple of weeks then the boys will be here. DGS Ben is bringing his young lady with him, sounds like he’s met a nice one as he’s pretty keen. Fingers crossed as I know he is keen to settle down. He says she’s perfect but he’s very keen to get us to meet 🤣🤣🤣 bless him I think he’s definitely thinking of building a nest 🤣🤣🤣 She’s never been to the Island so he wants to show her round15 -

Hi,
The dressing table did fit in the car. It is now at my Mum's. I love it, it is so cute. It's painted black and I don't think I will do a lot to it other than give it a wash down. When we got to the sellers house, the woman had no clue about it, her husband had forgotten to tell her.
The bedside drawers are ready for their top coat. I am in my green period. Not really had much green previously. We will go to Mum's for a bit this afternoon and do an hour on our new to us furniture. Mr V is battling with the many, many staples on the chair seats. I am going to cover the seats with some old green cotton velvet curtains. These curtains have done the rounds over the past 50 odd years. They were given to my Mum by her friend, then given to me. I gave them to DD1 and now they are coming back to me again.
I have given myself a budget of £100 to furnish each room at the new house. Not including any building work and decorating. There are blinds up at all the windows but I will put curtains up too. The house will be lovely, but I will spend as little as possible so as to be able to have a lovely bathroom, kitchen and a fair bit of building work and garden landscaping.
For anyone interested
Master bedroom, curtains gifted, bedside drawers £40, bed ours. Head board free, new knobs for the fitted wardrobe free. Still need a curtain pole and a chest of drawers.
Second bedroom, bedside drawers £30, chair gifted, dressing table £30, curtains gifted. Book case ours.Still need a curtain pole and a bed
Third bedroom, trundle bed ours, drawers ours, bedside free. Still need curtain pole
Sitting room sofas ours, Curtains free.TV stand £5, Rug drawers and 4 side tables ours. Still need curtain pole and light fitting. I have bought a fire for the sitting room for £15 but the old fire needs taking out first.
Dining room, curtains gifted, table and chairs gifted. Ikea chair gifted, rug £10. Still need curtain pole, light fitting and a chest of drawers or desk to fit in an alcove.
Hall, shoe bench we made from a telephone table £10, cushions I made from fabric stash. I also have a new front door that I have had years. It will need a frame making. Also need light fitting.
Cloakroom. Argggh, needs replacing including radiator but I have bought some wallpaper!
I have plenty lamps, pictures, mirrors, ornaments etc. All the curtains are from the same lady who bought a big house and gave me all the curtains. They are all off white/cream. I will possibly have to get the sewing machine out. Oh she also gave me 2 black bags of cushion inserts so I need to make covers too.
So now you know the extent of my thriftyness! I prefer older furniture, it is in most cases very well made and real wood.
I have packed some more clothes. There are things that can go to the charity shop but as they are winter/Christmas clothes I will wait until Autumn to send them.
We heard yesterday that the move will be 10 or 12 weeks! I hope it's not October as iv'e packed all my warmer clothes.
I must say I am not finding much to declutter as I pack. I think I had gone down to the bone in previous decluttering rounds.
See you later chums. Vx

Like Brambling I also tidied out my underwear drawer and binned some "comfort" bras that seem to have shrunk in the wash.
My husband has a chiropodist appointment today so he is taking the donation bags beforehand. I am not venuuring out as it feels very hot and I had a headache this morning. I am just going to sit on the sofa and watch the tennis and football and read my kindle.2025 GOALS

Wow @vulpix that's impressive. I love greenWhilst I was waiting for the lunch to cook, I did my best to rifle through cupboards and do a declutter. I've found my decluttering mojo again so nothing is safe
Lots more to go I think - just need to find it. Will continue tidying and thinking about decluttering later, although I also will be making chocolate ice cream and doing more loads of washing.
