@Muddy_Walker
Oh so sorry to hear about Pepper. Sounds much the same as happened to our Wimsey years back. Fine on Friday, ill on Saturday, gone on Monday. Only 6 years old too.

Muddy Walker sorry to hear of your loss
My DD had to have her beloved Lexi PTS just before Christmas and we still talk about what a little lady she was bless her
large amount of decluttering today mainly bindweed that's grown through from next door and wrapped itself around one of the shrubs
Gosh I hate the blooming stuff, the chap, whose garden its grown from is really not able to do a lot of gardening I think .
Whether he can't, or can't be bothered I'm not too sure but I seem to be fighting a battle with the bless stuff all the time. Best part is he's a good 20 years younger than me and is happy for it to grow anywhere I think.
So I've been filling up the garden waste bin with the stuff Luckily its their collection day tomorrow. Our local council only have limited capacity for garden waste collection so we have to pay an independent company to collect it .Weirdly enough the company is cheaper than the local council, although at £110 a year its still pretty steep. When I lived in the Medway there were no charges for garden waste collection at all, but then I had a lovely gardener who took it away with him
This garden is about three times the size so DD and I have been hacking away this afternoon.
Son-in-law is cooking dinner tonight as he popped into the good butchers near his work and brought home three nice steaks for dinner as a treat for all our hard work.he loathes gardening anyway at most he will run a mower over the lawn and thats about it
luckily DD and I enjoy it not the weeding so much though )
We are off to Barry and Quentin's (B&Q) tomorrow morning to buy a new fork for the garden, DD loaned our one out to a friend about a month ago and two phone calls later and she's still got it, so I said she can keep it, as we need one for the spuds as they are near to be lifted. Moral is never loan things out to 'friends'
Right I smell the dinner cooking, so time to go
have a good evening chums

Muddywalker so sorry to hear about Pepper
I'm afraid I've been lazy recently and haven't done much decluttering, with my surgery date getting very close I need to ensure I'm not going to leave anything out for me to fall over, especially as I can fall over my own feet! And I want to rearrange the bedside tables as I want to change the side I sleep on to one closer to the door.I did tackle the mess in the bottom of my wardrobes today, I'm afraid I'm going to have to get the iron out for some tee shirts which seem to have gotten dropped there, or maybe I'll just rinse and spin when the weather is so nice to dry on the line.
