Two gorgeous little wins right there crazy cat lady 2.
A young man knocked at the door on Friday and introduced himself as a representative of Battersea dogs and cats home. Fomo was sat on the sofa so I said right ,come on Fomo this nice man has come to collect you, get your coat. The poor lad didn't know what to do with himself. I didn't sign up. I am sure the animals in London are very deserving but so is my local cat sanctuary where Fomo and Fluffy came from. I have supported them for 40 years and had all the six cats I have owned from there. As much as I would like to, I can't support every deserving cause sadly.
Mr V covering an extra early shift today. Hopefully when he gets home we can crack on.

2 books out yesterday, plus 3 books out last Friday.
So a total of 5 books have gone.
I'm aiming and hoping to declutter the worktops and other areas that I keep meaning to.
I've had about 17 items of clothing come in due to weight gain and needing extra clothes because of going to the church conference for a week.
Fortunately I'm staying in the house this time instead of camping, but I need about a week's clothes to cover me for all weathers with the set up.
Plus my wardrobe is lacking in seasonal changes.
Hopefully I will get into the rhythm of eating better/healthier and the weight will come off instead of going on.
I'm going to hold onto the smaller sizes for the time-being though as I've found it difficult having to source larger sizes, especially financially.Decluttering campaign 2023

Not a lot of decluttering done this weekend although one top in the charity bag. I like in principle but it frustrates me when I wear it as it catches on EVERYTHING (including itself)!
Kitchen cabinets washed down yesterday with ‘the concoction’ The concoction was a mix of white vinegar, water, ‘mild green fairy lipsquid’ and tangerine peel in lieu of orange peel They’ve come up a treat and the ones nearest the hob have been very effectively degreased from cooking residue. Not that I fry a lot.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

dollyrocker sorry to hear about your recent troubles but nice to see you back
Ccl2 nice to see you back too, lovely photos, gorgeous animal life - cheeky squirrel catburglar lol
Liverpool_Anne it's weird how a 'celebrity' death can affect. Sometimes I read and no idea who they were (your footballer for example, sorry), sometimes a little twinge of sadness (guy out of charmed who died a few days ago for example), sometimes a bigger twinge of sadness (Matthew Perry for example), sometimes actual grief tears and more lasting sadness like you knew them in real life (morecambe and wise, 2 Ronnies for example). The one that unexpectedly pole axed me was Diana. Wasn't particularly struck on her as a person and didn't particularly follow royal family doings so it was very unexpected that I had tears over a few days for her. Perhaps because she was so beautiful and young at the time, with the young family. Strange. Anyway, hope you are recovering from holiday, maybe you need to sit on couch and eat crisps too lol

Just tidied all the clothes off the dining room table, hung another washing and put another load in the machine.
Also moved my furniture about the living room on Saturday and one of my pictures was off centre so had to rehang that, all sorted and looks so much better.Debt Free - 4th June 20258 -
July declutter #3: declutterred the tyre pressure warning light off my dashboard 🤣
I had to buy a better tyre inflator because the one I inherited from my dad had to be manually held onto the tyre valve, had a tiny dial readout that didn’t measure in PSI, and didn’t have an automatic shutoff. Between my bad knees, bad back and bad eyesight I found it nearly impossible to use. My new one is much better!10 -
Spent the whole day today trying to fix lots of the tiny irritations in my house where we don't quite have the storage for something, or repotting a plant or putting up hooks etc. Started with a trip to the yellow and blue shop for which I had a list I'd been curating for at least 5 days and then spent the rest of the day sorting everything out. It's not all 100% complete, but I have significantly improved our house already and hopefully solved a few annoyances. The most important thing is that I now have enough space for my cooking/baking booksLots of things gone as a result of the sorting but also as a result of being very realistic of what won't get used up (result of my use up challenge). I also have half an eye on my wardrobe as we are sufficiently through the summer that I need to wear the things I haven't yet worn and work out why I haven't worn them and if they need to go.Loving the kitty pictures - I love cats and always had them growing up, but I can't have them at the moment partly because DH doesn't like animals that much, but mostly because I don't have the time to properly care for them.Digital:

Yesterday I made up a jar of Italian herb mix 😉
Monday: It was still raining at 05:00 & for the next hour at least. DH left about 09:45 for a day out - RBR around East Anglia. I got up at 10:30 & have my first cuppa. It is dry & quite pleasant with a few clouds & the sun trying to make an appearance. Forecast high 21°C & low 14°C Spent the afternoon clearing down more programmes from the TV planner including the last 4 episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale. Thouroughly enjoyed them & am looking forward to the sequel The Testaments 😊 Now have 89% available. I was having a relaxing bath when DH got home about 18:15. Ordered in - chicken burger & fries for DH & me, sausages & chips for DSis. Decided to do today’s cheerleading only to discover that it is my turn to be unable to log in 😡 I honestly thought that MSE had sorted it out ☹️ So I will type up my cheerleading in Notes & then post when I am able. I managed to log in at 22:19 🥳

Liverpool_Anne, nice to see you back after your “weird couple of weeks” 😊 I am putting your OH on the naughty step …………. for a week 😉 I completely understand This “We got home last week and I was totally overwhelmed by the clutter after a week of living in a clear space and have done my best to regain some equilibrium but I have struggled and typically rather than motivating me it has had the opposite effect but I think I am back in gear today.” as I had so many plans when we got back from Scotland & have been totally unsuccessful 😉 Great work getting all the holiday laundry done 👏 Good luck with the bamboo - don’t forget to count it in your numbers 🍀 Perhaps one for each 15 minute session 🤔
vulpix, all I can say is good for you 😉
