Friday was another gloriously sunny day even at 09:30 - already 20°C & set to rise to 27°C with a low of 15°C I hope everyone slept well last night 🤞Rather than catching up with the cheerleading (as I should have done 😉) I have been clearing down more programmes from the TV planner although it is slow going (only 0.3% per programme) One thing I have done is to clean both the remote controls using a cocktail stick, cotton buds & a damp cloth 🙂 I also sorted out the wash-bag for DH’s next RBR trip. DH sterilised the new coffee machine & has made the first coffee. The story behind the purchase is that after using the one at daisy’s place (simple to use & doesn’t take up too much space), I finally agreed that we could have one & have even paid for it 😉 Dinner is chicken & chips for DSis, breaded fish & chips for DH & me. Wudupa.
1154 - 1158 Kitchen recycling, 2 mini plastic bottles, plastic bottle, drinks cans - recycled
1159 Kitchen detritus - binned
weenancy, pleased to hear that you are having reasonable weather at the moment 😊 Although because I am behind with the cheerleading I see that the temperatures are climbing from 28°up to 32°C over the next week 🥵 Please stay safe 🙏 Kind of your sister to help Di 💐 maybe she will help you next time 🤞More excellent decluttering & I have finally remembered your 21st June post - 100 items & 10 bags cans & bottles - so a Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way. Good luck with the rest of the Swiss project 🍀
Lovely post TC77 😊 Good luck with your weekend target 🍀 Hopefully you will have another successful weekend of decluttering 🤞
I need to try harder to catch up with the cheerleading 😉 Sleep tight 😴

Have been through the boxes from the top of the wardrobe. A bag of socks can go for rags and a few items of clothing for the village fete. One small box now empty and will repack the larger 3 to see if one can be emptied.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅13

A few more bits gone due to a major tidy up session yesterday evening. I'm now looking into how to fix the rooms that are never quite tidy which will require a visit to the blue and yellow shop on Monday. I have been slowly getting a strict list together though, decluttering what I can, moving things around and will hopefully get round to things I've not had time to do before. Today I moved the kids table and chairs upstairs out of the way as neither of them use it for colouring etc anymore and use their desks. It will remain there until we are certain we don't miss it and then it can go. I also rearranged DS's clothes drawers a bit better and he's now been able to claim a deep drawer to put all his tat into.Hoping to make lots of house and possibly garden progress next week (around another round of interviews).Digital:

Here's the new baby. The day after we brought her home ds bathed her and I flea treated her. Yesterday she had her first vaccination and she was microchipped.CRANKY40 @ What an absolutely GORGEOUS babySomeone's got their hands full there with a curious nature & obviously; by the looks of it, ruling the roost aready!
That's the way it should be!
She'll be helping you with decluttering, that's for sure!
Decluttering Update:I've taken a very bold decision today to offload 50% of the remaining decluttering items I have left to sell to the local CS tomorrow. I've run out of energy to load the car today, but it's packed up ready to be loaded early tomorrow morning & dropped off as soon as the CS opens - I must say, although I feel very tired, I feel totally liberated~ NSD 2025 - NSD August 15/20 (7 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing - 1 x £25 Voucher Redeemed, 20 FREE Books of RM Stamps & Presentation Packs.~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £212.50 / £2025 (4) 💯💯💯# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £16,543.30 / £12,000 💯 - Continuing14 -
Happy weekend everyone
@CRANKY40 the kitten looks super cute and playful!! I would waste so much time playing and not get anything done.
In a surprising move I got rid of another 21 items today, brining my total to 99/2025
Happy bunny with that, and hopefully get chance to do some more tomorrow
But for now its bed time hour, so time for last bottle of milk and to watch fhe clangers together

Thanks for all the kitten love - she's gorgeous and so well behaved (for now anyway). It's odd because we still miss the other one (ashes collected last week) but this baby is a totally different little personality.
@TC77 the 100 items may have belonged to your daughter but would she have decluttered without your encouragement? Give yourself some credit 😊
@Dizzycap fairly sure the kitten will be running my life for me once she learns the ropes, just like our other cat did. Also dropping stuff off to the charity shop can feel very liberating.
@pink_fluffy_sparkles luckily there are two of us so we can take turns with the kitten wrangling.
Only 5 things decluttered today as I wanted to finish making my hexi cardigan. All done now and it fits so I'm pleased with that. I needed to finish it so I can concentrate on some other things. Tomorrow the ironing mountain will be conquered for a start.
I was contemplating a coffee machine too as ds is very fond of iced lattes in hot weather. He isn't a coffee connoisseur though so happily a couple of boxes of starbucks espresso coffee pods for an existing machine has sorted that at much less of a cost.

Saturday: overcast & although rain was not forecast, we had light drizzle for about 5 minutes at 12:45 - high 21°C, low 17°C. In between clearing down more programmes from the planner, I have been napping 😞 & only just noticed that the wind has picked up. DH has fed the worms & filled the bird feeders. So much for concentrating on the cheerleading but I will now set a timer for 30 minutes. I broke off to prepare tonight’s dinner - sausages, mash, baked bins & tinned tomatoes. Now back again whilst the oven warms up, so an extra few minutes of cheerleading before I post 🤞
So lovely to see you Foofoopuppy 👋 Excellent work with both using up candles & condiments but especially the condiments 👏 Shame that sales of clothes has slowed down ☹️ but rather than list as a freebie, perhaps you could donate to a CS as they are probably in fashion again 😉 With such successful decluttering I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ Keep up the good work & good luck with the weight loss 🍀
Excellent decluttering pink_fluffy_sparkles 👏 You are definitely on a roll 😊
oceanspirit, well done sending back the dresses rather than keeping them for Justin 👏 Hopefully the ones on top of the wardrobe will contain a couple of forgotten dresses that you like as well as clothes for donation 🤞Great work decluttering another kitchen cupboard 👏
QueenJess, keep up the good work using up the floss picks 😊 Good luck with ‘Project Hallway Clearance’ 🍀 Meanwhile great work on your July Challenge 👏
Excellent decluttering in your bedroom Soontobeoap, especially clearing out so much from your wardrobe 👏 A medal 🏅 is on its way 😊
QueenJess, isn’t it weird how we all have at least one particular decluttering nemesis 😞 🤨 However, I have every faith in you & am positive that you will break the task down & be successful ☺️
More excellent decluttering pink_fluffy_sparkles 👏
Excellent work BridgetTheCat 👏
Excellent decluttering Soontobeoap, you are definitely on a roll 👏
Timer has gone off so will post & run. I hope everyone has had a good day 😊 See you later 👋

Excellent work QueenJess 👏 It sounds like you have found the best way forward with decluttering the hallway - mini sessions 😊 Fingers crossed that the trying on session with DS will result in several more items decluttered 🤞Brilliant work getting the hallway cupboard sorted apart from DD’s glove collection 🥳 Everything is crossed that DH will finally get on board with going through his coats & shoes hoards 🤞🤞🤞
TC77, some great decluttering by DD2 👏 & as you are doing the final disposal everything can be counted in your numbers 😊 Does DD2 have a departure date yet? Hopefully she is starting to get a little excited about the start of her Australian Adventure 🙏
CRANKY40, oh my goodness, she is sooooooo cute 🥰 You & DS can bring her to visit anytime 😅
Lovely to see you tiddles 👋 An absolutely excellent amount of decluttering by you & your hubby 👏 Almost three quarters of the way to your annual target in just over 6 months 🤩 Two Gold Stars ⭐️⭐️ are on their way & a third is well within reach 😊 I am also awarding you a medal 🏅 for tackling your shoe collection. As to This “I don’t find it easy to get rid of things that are in good condition and that I might need or want to use in the future. How do you all cope with this?” I still don’t have an answer other than that once in a while I have a ‘moment’ when I ask myself why am I storing items rather than using them? It doesn’t happen often but when it does I have a burst of activity & donate to CS (I don’t do selling as I am lazy 😅) The pleasing thing is that I have no regrets about anything that has been donated 😮💨
QueenJess, what a great response to tiddles question 😊 Also very useful for the rest of us 👏
TC77, excellent decluttering by DD2 👏 She has done so well that I am awarding her a Gold Star ⭐️ Hopefully her success will serve as an example for you & you will tackle your own decluttering with renewed vigour 🙏 Remember you can do it ☺️
YBR, thanks for the additional thoughts re tiddles question 👏 Hopefully you will be able to find a new fur baby once you are settled in your new home 🤞Fingers crossed you can find more boxes to pack up the rest of your belongings & not just the books 😉
CRANKY40, absolutely love This “she was just meant to be. We collected her from somewhere 5 minutes driving from our house. I said to ds "it's karma" and when we met her the lady said "I call her Karma". That's not her name any more but she's learning her name (I said by 6 months old she'll be known as "little sod").” 🥹 Not surprised that decluttering has taken a back seat to playing with the kitten, she is just so gorgeous 😂
TC77, if you don’t like the towels donate asap 😉 When your current towels wear out/need replacing you can treat yourself to towels that you will love using - you are worth it 🥹 Well done on making progress on a frog 👏
I have caught up a little & will have a final push tomorrow to get back on track 🤞 Sleep tight 😴
