@vulpix I knit for A Gift of Warmth. I think it's only a Facebook group but I send items to various members for passing on to Charities and hospitals.
Message me if it's any help and you want to know more.11 -
@vulpix have you thought about knitting for Sheffield Children’s hospital? I know some folk knit blankets, jackets & tiny hats for poorly & prem babies, but some knitted things are also sold in the AH charity shop inside the hospital.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Vulpix are there any hospitals near you with prem babies either looking for small hats etc or octopus

i had a hospital appointment this morning at the eye clinic which involved those horrible stinging drops. So I was blurry eyed for a few hours.
I did do my Gollum impression whilst sorting fabric supplies, rather than the ring I was stroking fabric and muttering about my previous 😁 nothing left the house 🫣 and I re found fabric I forgot about. I need to use and not just admire 🙄
Any decluttering tomorrow wouldn't be my own, I'm back at my elderly friend to go through her files this time and she's muttering about a few other jobs.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin13 -
Thank you wicked lady and Floss, I have joined the FB group and will look into the Sheffield Children's Hospital. My Mum already knits prem hats for them and sends them via her cousin. Most of my wool stash isn't suitable for such tiny things though. There's a lot of chunky and Arran.
So much for walking 2 miles. I went to get out of the car to drop some stuff at the EA's and my knee popped painfully. It currently feels like it's full of concrete. I have done my sit ups and finished another baby jumper.
Mr V had to bin all his excess food. It was all out of date. Hope that cures him of over buying. His Mum was a shocker for buying to excess. I am the complete opposite. I only buy stuff that I am about to use. The supermarket can store and stock rotate stuff for me.
Not much on tomorrow, just a GP appointment to check my blood pressure and pulse. My pulse is at the dizzy heights of 44 now.

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
DH set off at 07:50 on an RBR trip to get the landmarks in Somerset, Dorset & Berkshire. Fingers crossed that he has dry weather. Here it is bright but cloudy although the sun is valiantly attempting to be seen 😉 Forecast high 21°C, low 13°C. I have dealt with today’s mail which generated 0.5” recycling & 0.5” shredding. DH has just phoned (14:30) weather is good (he did mention that he had a bad start to his day out as he had to drive through the centre of London 😞) Although since then it has been plain sailing 😊……. DH got back about 9:20. Dinner was bacon, eggs, mushrooms & the rest of the Dauphinoise potatoes. Wudupa.
972 - 976 Kitchen recycling, cardboard packaging, 0.5” paperwork, glass bottle, drinks cans - recycled

Excellent work charlies_tribe 👏 Hopefully you can find time this week to get all the clutter out of the house 🤞Great use of your time on the train & brilliant work on the digital decluttering 👏 A medal 🏅 is on its way 😊
Great decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Shame about the dishwasher but at least you tried to fix it 😊 Hopefully you managed to have lunch with DD 🤞 talk about a flying visit 😉 Good luck dealing with ‘frogs’ especially getting a new fencer 🍀 As to Sir Sox & his new ‘bed’ I love the picture 😊 A great vantage point & a perfect place to pounce from 😂 Thanks for the information about oven cleaning cloths 👏 Some wonderful holidays to look forward to both this year & next 🤩 Which reminds me that I need to get a new passport quite soon as I only have about 8 months left 😞 (Yes I did read Martin’s weekly email 😉)
Lovely story regnbue ☺️ Just wondering if you returned the cat bed to its hiding place 🤔😉

vulpix, so sorry to hear about your knee 😩 Hopefully you can recover quickly 🙏 Well done on doing the sit-ups 👏 A bit of a pity that MrV had to bin all the food ☹️ but as you say hopefully that will “cure him of overbuying” 🤞The pulse rate of an elite athlete 😉

Good morning. Vulpix that knee sounds painful. I know when both DGC came home, they both came home in a Knitted hat, so maybe your local hospital might too. Another idea is ask about hearts. When DC6 mum died the hospital gave them matching hearts. The children each had a different colour and mum went away with one of each. Again, it might be the wrong Wool.
Had a good tidy up yesterday but not much other than normal rubbish left the house.
We were looking at the trampoline yesterday as it didn't look right. DH went up to have a look and said the leg was out as the bottom u had corroded through. He lifted the padding and the whole side was snapped. DS2 uses it for hours every day. He's got SN and its his comfort. He had a complete melt down. We were looking at replacing it once the garden was done anyway as its very well used but might have to be done sooner than we thought. DH has started dismantling it.
Need to go make sure some kids are getting ready, have a good day.

Hope you are able to get a new trampoline soon, Charlie's tribe.
Vulpix, sorry about your knee - hope it pops back soon. Did I spot on an earlier post that your sight has improved sufficiently to be looking at driving again? If so, that is great, great news.
Lots more bits of magazine gone off the reading pile yesterday. No emails done at the weekend as I had a headache and couldn't look at the screen.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅12
