Morning, still going to bed too late for my wake up time, and decided to have a quiet weekend as tired but managed a lie in yesterday. Quiet day starting the reorganising agreed with my cousin.
Took out old lining paper from some drawers in my dad's old desk and rearranged these, moving things from dining room into it to free up space there, moving camera stuff from dining room to cupboard in living room which had crockery, and cleared small drawer in kitchen to relocate stuff from another drawer then moved kitchen stuff into it from in unit under the TV - lots of small things which is time consuming as I go through them. At that stage where there is alot out and it looks worse.
from yesterday paper, ood food, small bit of debris 5, old lining paper, old name tapes, trousers and 2 shirts to CS bag (12).
Realise DD2 back wed, after exams for a few days so want to make downstairs nice as she's only here for a few days and hoping she'll sort a few things. she's back at end June/early July for a few days then then off to Oz for a year.

Thank you Muddy, it's nice to be back and a have a slower pace of life.
Kittens! no body told me there were kittens! beautiful innocent little babies.
Thank you for my gold star Mrs SD. Although I still have a razor blade throat (day chuffing 10) it's nice to be home and only have the usual stresses of life to worry about. I must admit I am a planner and having no idea of where we are moving to is bothering me. I can cope with change if I know what I am planning for.
Liverpool Anne, the dinosaur is outstanding, have a lovely day. I may have to commission a watermelon dinosaur for DGS's 2nd birthday,he is a big dinosaur fan.
Another third of DD1's garden completed. Wrong time of year but she gave some ancient inherited shrubs a good hair cut. A tip run done and her car packed up to go again this morning. Cars were queuing down the road yesterday. We are having a week off next week but will be back at it the week after if it's fine. After the final third of garden there is a huge vegetable garden to reclaim. I think she should offer it out as an allotment to someone, it is all just too much work for one person. DD1 just messaged she was at the tip at 9am and cars were queuing down the road again.
Mr V has come home with an empty gin bottle. His friend has a pub. Well yes it is very pretty but ummm, thanks. He thinks I could make it into a lamp.I do enjoy a lamp but we currently have more lamps than anyone would ever need.
Today is bed changing again. Muddy paw prints. Brick wrangling and stacking will happen. I have some things for sale on marketplace which I have been let down about. I will reduce them to get rid of them and add some more big garden items. The thinning out of belongings has begun. No point in taking stuff with us that we don't need.
I must say my gravel garden is coming into it's own at the moment. Year 3 since it was made, I will be sorry to leave it. I will of course be digging some things up to take with me though!
take care everyone Vx:12 -
Catch (spot) the pigeon…. The latest avian resident has built a nest in my lilac tree…. It’s a vastly improved nest compared to last time but they have located themselves disturbingly close to the washing line….

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday: another bright & sunny day with fluffy clouds in a lovely blue sky - high 21°C, low 14°C DH is doing the Tip run this afternoon. I have a cuppa & am settled comfortably so will start the cheerleading starting from Friday
YBR, an hour on the phone without getting through 😡 Although if there is just one person answering calls I could infer from your numbers that each call was taking less than 2 minutes 🧐 although more likely that many people just hung up & tried again later 😞 Fingers crossed that the over the phone appointment works 🤞Yippee to not having to complete a tax return 🥳 An excellent & eclectic amount of decluttering 👏 Fingers crossed that the yard sale goes well 🤞
Florenceem, sounds like your DiL is taking the ‘Michael’ by bringing so many dresses for you to mend 🤔 It is one thing to ask for a couple of more difficult repairs but she seems to be taking advantage of your generous nature 😠 So sorry to hear about MrF’s over long bathroom visits, as I believe that is how his issues started last time 🥺 Hopefully Monday’s visit to the doctor will prevent the same outcome as last time 🙏
Lovely to meet you moginstein 👋 It appears your ticket got lost in the post 🙊 Never mind you are aboard the EDT now & raring to start your decluttering journey 😊 Thanks for the very handy sewing tip 👏 Very pleased you managed to catch us & I am looking forward to learning a bit about you as you get into the swing of decluttering 😊 Good luck 🍀
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 This “For June I'm considering running a little project similar to those familiar with Project Pan type of projects, but mine won't be make-up related, they will be stuff I know I need to concentrate on using up. I'm thinking of picking a low number of items (maybe 8) in categories like kitchen, bathroom, packaging, stationery etc and writing a list of the item I will concentrate on using. It just concentrates the mind as sometimes you have so many things to use up, you can forget. Once an item is used up, another one can cycle in. It goes without saying that I won't be using things more than they need to be used and will be squeezing every last drop out of them. The aim is to make a good dent in a low number of items, which is easier than too many. Anyone want to join me? Maybe we can see how many things we get used up during June
I will be considering my list of items later for the things that most annoy me and need to be gone.” is a great idea 🥳 Your organisational skills are off the charts, so I can see that this will be another resounding success 🤩 An eclectic list & I have noticed that items 3 to 6 are food based, so I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with 😉
Florenceem, you are certainly speeding along with all those repairs & alterations to DiL’s charity shop purchases 🤩
Excellent decluttering oceanspirit 👏 Good luck with the weekend’s planned digital decluttering 🍀
Lovely post Brambling 🥹
A lovely cheerleading post sqwiffy 🥹 Great work on the decluttering & mending👏 Very impressed that you have been able to do so much in between full time working & caring for your DM 😊 This “My DM is now moved to my DSis3's and it is so much better. She has a lovely room with a bit more space and her own shower room that is so much easier for us to get behind her when toileting and washing her. I'll try and take a photo or two later. She was a bit disorientated but has actually been acting differently, bit like she was before the stroke some of the time, which is odd but at other's not knowing any of us.” sounds like it has/is working well 🥹 Although This “We have another 2 weeks to wait for a telephone call from her GP about the nighttime issues she's having. The new meds we got last week haven't helped at all so it will have taken over 4 weeks before we've had any help which I think is bad for an 89 year old.” is a disgrace 😢 Hopefully now your DMinL is in a rehab hospital she will recover more quickly than being at home & being tempted to do too much 🙏
Yippee all caught up on Friday’s posts 🥳 DH has been to the Tip & when he got back he did a bit of weeding 👏 The washing I left out overnight is now folded & put away. I hope that everyone is having as good a day as possible 🤞Just wondering if anyone has heard from Dizzycap 🤔 - hope she is OK 🙏
See you later 👋
