@vulpix - maybe making lamps can be a new side hustle. Lamps sell really fast at the boot sales we go to around here, especially unusual ones.12

I am still decluttering but the stuff is not leaving the house. Going through the kitchen cupboards and fridge at the moment. a) to save some money on grocerys and b) to make sure that everything gets used up. I have made 2 chicken and mushroom pies for 2 today as well as 2 apple turnovers from a pack of puff pastry, mushrooms, tinned apple a tin of chicken soup I had . I feel I have made a good start. Lots more to do in the garden and garden shed too. So keeping busy.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Yesterday took parcel to post office to return as I'd had a message that they'd emailed me the code, only to find they hadn't so brought home and hoping it can go out tomorrow. Just making a list to do at lunchtime tomorrow.
Thank you as ever Mrs SD for encouragement and cheer leading.
Up early and did some floor mopping and tidying but then went to an English Heritage house as I bought membership last year and only been to 1 place and it runs out in a few weeks!
Out gift bag and 4 small candles, bent sieve, old membership card, more old batteries and have torch working and in my bedroom, 3 vintage facepaints, bra and Pjs, broken earring, more name tapes and small bits of debris.
My search for new PJs the last few weeks finally successful, lovely 100% cotton australian make from TK*** , my first thought was to keep for bestnot quite sure when I think that will be.... or maybe if I have to go into hospital and anyone else will see them... . So they will be worn anytime and not be kept for the future!
987.
Planning on moving work to my proper desk and study and will then keep dining table clear and hopefully dd2 and me will eat together.
Hope everyone has a good start to the week.

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Sunday continued: It clouded over significantly but no rain 🙂 DH popped out to fill the bike with petrol as he is planning a one day RBR trip tomorrow. He has yet to rebook his Welsh trip. Problems with the internet this afternoon (no explanation) although it only lasted about an hour. I have weighed & prepped all the ingredients for tonight’s dinner. Also read & completed my competitions entry form from my magazine which I will post tomorrow. Back to cheerleading for a while before I cook dinner:
vulpix, so pleased to hear that you are on the mend & had a good night’s sleep on Friday night 😊 Hopefully the new estate agent will do a better job at selling your Mum’s house 🤞although it sounds like it is a good fall back position in the event that you still haven’t found a new home. Whatever happened to MrV’s retirement 😉😉 Please don’t overtax yourself working on DD1’s garden 🙏 don’t forget the TLC Carriage is available for plenty of rest breaks 😊
Crazycatlady2, loved This “….. had a very busy week building a catio and shifting more stone……” talk about spoiling your cats 😂 Lovely pictures of your gorgeous kittens & your very laid back dog 😊 Hopefully the leak is fixed now & the wall is drying out 🤞
Wednesday2000, hopefully your husband will declutter the sun screen quickly 😉
QueenJess, an excellent start to ‘Use It Up June’ 👏 I will have a little ponder & see if I can come up with my own 8 🤔
DH & I just cooked dinner - rump steak, Dauphinois potatoes & garlicky green beans. Absolutely delicious 🤤
Muddy_Walker, lovely pictures 😍 I especially like the dragon peeping out of the hanging tub 🤩
YBR what an excellent result from your yard sale 👏 & good luck with your listings 🍀
florianatwobob, you & DSis have been very busy 🤩 Excellent decluttering of the shed, wardrobe & bookcase 👏
Liverpool_Anne, pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit to the Tunnels 😊 Hopefully they can be reopened in the not too distant future once the new owners realise that there is nothing else they can be used for 🤞 Excellent work in the garden 👏 The watermelon dinosaur head is absolutely brilliant, so creative - I love it 🤩
TC77, brilliant work - decluttering, reorganising & tidying 👏 Hopefully you managed to get everything put away during the course of the day🤞 What a lovely reason to get the downstairs tidy 🥹 although you should remember that you also deserve to have a nice uncluttered space 🥹 I hadn’t realised that DD2 heading off to Australia was so near 😥 Presumably all her paperwork (passport, visa etc ) is all in order & hopefully she is getting excited at the prospect of an adventure 😊 Maybe you will be able to visit her 🙏
vulpix, sorry to hear that you still have the razor blade throat 😞 Crikey, your grandsons 2nd birthday has come around quickly 😬 Excellent work in DD1’s garden 👏 but I do hope you are not overdoing it 🤞I must admit to feeling relieved that you are having a weekend off 😅 I also hope that you didn’t overdo the brick wrangling & stacking today 🤞Don’t forget to take lots of pictures of your gravel garden as a reminder of how much work you put into creating it 🥹
florianatwobob, thanks for the photo - I have never see a pigeon on a nest before 🤩
Excellent decluttering QueenJess 👏 I see your net figure is creeping up to 600 🥳 You are also doing brilliantly on your new project of ‘Use It Up June’ 👏
daisy_1571, thanks for the information re Dizzycap 😊 Now I just need to know that London_1 is doing OK 😉
Soontobeoap, great work 👏 Technically, I would say that you are participating in ‘Use It Up June’ 😊 Definitely a great start 🥳 Good luck with the decluttering of the shed & the garden tasks 🍀
TC77, shame that you have to make another trip to the P.O. 😞 Hope you enjoyed visiting the English Heritage house 😊 Excellent decluttering & rapidly approaching your next gold star 👏
All caught up 🥳 Hope everyone had a lovely day 😊 I will do the wudupa, have a last cuppa & then head off to bed.

Good morning. Another busy week here.
I've been working through our room, trying to sort 1 drawer at a time. I've got loads of things waiting to go but just need it to actually leave the house.
Yesterday I had to take DC6 to Liverpool by train to see a relative. The train was so so busy. To stop my anxiety going through the roof and to avoid eye contact with strangers, I started deleting emails. I got through deleting about 6500 In the 4 hours and I've still not done!
I'll be back with updated list later, need to get some kids to school. 11 school days left! Im ready for them to finish so im sure they're both ready too.LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Morning all. Not keeping up as usual. Dishwasher has gone wrong. It got blocked and although that has cleared I can't get it out of programme it is stuck in. Tried googling ideas but no success. Man coming tomorrow. DD is here just for 24 hours but has to be back in Midlands this afternoon. Hopefully we can do a garden centre lunch before she goes.
Frogs to do today plus catching up on builder as to when tiler can come and contacting a new fencer as the one booked is obviously not coming. DD has priced up a holiday for next year for me to Cyprus with a friend in May 2026 so I will share the ideas with her. Edinburgh with DGS1 on 22 June for 4 days then Portugal on 6 July for 4 days with DD this year. We are also planning Helsinki in December. Lots to look forward to. I had a wicker tray with no home in new kitchen and placed it on top of bookcase. Sox has decided it is where he will sleep although it looks somewhat precarious. He has three nice beds which he will not use at all.
Mrs SD you asked about clothes for oven cleaning. I wiped the first stuff off with thick wad of kitchen paper (with rubber gloves) then I used j cloths which admittedly disintegrated afterwards.

@GrannyKate Sir Sox's preferred bed choice reminds me of the time we bought our cat one of those fluffy lined circular cat beds.
As it was to be his Christmas present we hid it in the gap under Mum's chest of drawers in her bedroom.
Around a month later we retrieved it ready to be wrapped for him to "open" on Christmas Day only to discover it had quite a lot of cat fur inside it.
So he'd obviously found it early, however once it was officially his he never once used it. Typical!

Hello lovely people,
Fab photo of the bird on the nest. Never seen any bird on a nest before.
Interesting about lamps Wee Nancy.
A tree sold and is going to live in Scotland.
A bird table photographed and listed for sale.
My bedside fan met it's end in the night so can go to the tip. I will replace it though, it helps drown out Mr V !
Razor blade throat on the mend at last.
I didn't move the bricks yesterday as it rained so still to do. Perhaps later.
I did sew up 2 baby jumpers and started knitting the sleeves of another, trying to eek out the colours to use every last scrap. I was wondering Happy Kitties if the shoe box appeal you are involved with would be able to use knitted and crochet baby things? Or if anyone knows of anywhere else. I have already kitted out every baby in the district! Knitting for charity was how Bit by Bit and I met.
We are viewing a house later, already know it's a no. Not the only reason but the neighbours have got a massive hedge. I resent having to maintain my side of someone else's hedge, and it's a steep garden. Even worse, having to pay someone to maintain it.
I have been given a load of really nice quality curtains. I only have 2 pairs of curtains at the moment. I will stash them in a built in wardrobe at my Mother's.
My fit bit is charging. I aim to walk at least 2 miles every day in June. I am also doing sit ups every day in June. I feel better than I have done for ages now my blood pressure and pulse is heading towards normal.
With the using up challenge I am on it every day. I am currently using up some sun cream as hand cream. I need to turn my attention to the pantry cupboard and freezer. There's stuff Mr V needs to do something about. He went mad and bought loads of stuff for himself and it is gently going out of date.
Sorry for the brain dump.
Vx
