Mini kitchen challenge 38/50For June I'm considering running a little project similar to those familiar with Project Pan type of projects, but mine won't be make-up related, they will be stuff I know I need to concentrate on using up. I'm thinking of picking a low number of items (maybe 8) in categories like kitchen, bathroom, packaging, stationery etc and writing a list of the item I will concentrate on using. It just concentrates the mind as sometimes you have so many things to use up, you can forget. Once an item is used up, another one can cycle in. It goes without saying that I won't be using things more than they need to be used and will be squeezing every last drop out of them. The aim is to make a good dent in a low number of items, which is easier than too many. Anyone want to join me? Maybe we can see how many things we get used up during JuneI will be considering my list of items later for the things that most annoy me and need to be gone.
Back again and I decided on an initial list of 8 items to target - as they get ticked off they will be replaced with a new target:1. Screen cleaner
2. Packaging
3. Whole almonds
4. Frozen candied orange juice
5. Frozen mango
6. Almond milk
7. Floss pick
8. Cotton padsHugs to everyone that needs it.2025 decluttering: 3,5045🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Suffolksue - yes you are right. He has spent hours on the toilet today.
I have completed alterations on 4 dresses and almost on a fifth - just need to put buttons back on.
One dress I did today needed to be shortened and elbow length sleeves made into short ones.
I hope my new spools arrive soon as the dresses are all sorts of colours and I only have 10 spools at the moment.
My Dil buys dresses at charity shops but I never expected her to bring so many.

@TC77 Thanks, yes DM does get lower rate of attendence allowance and have recently notified them of the changes at night causing her to be disturbed regularly and us having to tend to her. They told me she'd have to be like this for 6 months before we can claim but then they've sent me a form so I'm going to fill it in, just in case.@Charlies tribe, so sorry to hear about your family member, always a shock but when so young... Let's hope things improve for them.@Florenceem, shame for your DGD but it must be that there's something better coming on the horizon, that's what I always say.@Brambling, that is lovely. My Dsis's and I spent a day on printing cards together in December and had such fun. Little did we know that we won't be able to do that again so enjoy those moments while you can! Love the sewing.@QueenJess, sorry work is horrible and that things get better.@GrannyKate, 12 lbs, wow!@Brie, "only 15 more rooms to go" ! Phew that's more than double the rooms in my entire house. I shouldn't complainI'm very impressed with all the decluttering going on in the group. What have I been doing apart from time with my DM? Only a little decluttering in short bursts. Trying to clear out the bedroom my DM used to use as she won't be staying here anymore. Have now decluttered all my DM's papers down to two folders, all neatly filed and accessible. If anyone should need to know anything about her finances, I can find it easily. Did a fair bit of mending, taking some new trousers up ready for my holiday next week, and a skirt for my DM as well as making a couple of Morsbags out of old fabric. Visited a destash event to get an idea of the sorts of prices to charge as my best buddy and I are thinking of doing one to declutter our excess fabric (so much). Also went to a local garden selling art yesterday with DOH. It was so nice walking around in the huge garden which was partly wooded, kind of forest bathing which i find very soothing. My DM is now moved to my DSis3's and it is so much better. She has a lovely room with a bit more space and her own shower room that is so much easier for us to get behind her when toileting and washing her. I'll try and take a photo or two later. She was a bit disorientated but has actually been acting differently, bit like she was before the stroke some of the time, which is odd but at other's not knowing any of us. We have another 2 weeks to wait for a telephone call from her GP about the nighttime issues she's having. The new meds we got last week haven't helped at all so it will have taken over 4 weeks before we've had any help which I think is bad for an 89 year old. My DMinL has just been moved into a rehab hospital but still can't put weight on her leg so I think it's going to be a while before she can go home.Haven't quite caught up yet but it's after 1am so time to get off the laptop as I'm on nights tomorrow and likely to be up all night.TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.14

Hi Chums, Thank you for your kindness, I am touched. I am feeling a little less fraught and getting physically better. I just pottered yesterday, got washing dried on the line, moved my brick collection towards the top of the steps, ate well, knitted and watched tv. I slept all night in the same position I went to sleep in !
I forgot to say I have changed my Mum's Estate Agent.A load of phone calls, emails and form filling I could do without.
Whilst looking for stuff for our house sale in the "office" (plastic box) I ousted and recycled a lot of out of date stuff.
I have got my small bubble wrap collection out and will start to pack in the spare room next week. I don't expect to find a lot to declutter but I will be ruthless. There is a possibility of us living in my Mum's house if nothing suitable comes up. We are viewing a house in the town we live now on Monday. Pros, detached, empty, no chain. Cons quite near the main road, not a desperately busy one but still. Massive hedges, only parking for one car. Not ideal for us but there is very little choice round here.
When Mr V gets home from work we are off to Sheffield. I am helping DD1 reclaim her garden after renting her house out for 3 years. We went last Saturday and managed 1/3 of it and a huge tip run. She is very lucky to live quite near the city centre and have a massive garden, but is time poor to keep up with it. Mr V will be writing a quiz.
Good job you are seeing a Doctor soon Florenceem. Sounds like antibiotics are needed to nip this episode in the bud.
I have pages to catch up on. Hope everyone is ok.

Aww, the kittens are so cute.
I feel like I have been cluttering up my house lately instead of the opposite! I did declutter two jars of sun screen as I got a reaction from it yesterday near my eye. They aren't out of the house though as my husband will use them up.11
