Hi all, missed posting for a couple of days as I fell asleep on the couch and just headed to bed 😂.
Tuesday was a wash out, both declutter wise and weather wise. OH was at the other house, all the electrics have been fixed and OH had a clear out of some of the cupboards so filled the bin 😁. Very pleased about that but there is still a lot to do there. I needed a few things for cake decorating so had to go to a different sm. While there I picked up some things for lunch and then headed to the other house stopping at a drive through to pick up coffee near the other house. After ordering while waiting to pay I got a text from OH, coffee here, where are you? Getting coffee for you in K**** 😂. Why it's piddling down? Thought there might be something I could help you with. Normally I am not allowed to do things in the house, just the garden 😁. Anyway headed back home and had the lunch I'd bought and the coffee 😂. Chatted with OH about what had been done and what still needs to be done. OH has decided the wallpaper put up is not right 😢 so another plan is forming. I give up. Nothing else was done apart from some crochet.
Yesterday the weather was much better so I got out into the garden and had a go at the bamboo as well as 3 LDFPA. The bathroom bin was emptied and I did a session of ironing so quite pleased about that.
I heard on the radio today that a local attraction I have never visited is closing on Sunday. It is run as a charity by volunteers but the people who own it want a commercial rent of £20,000 for the next year which the charity can't afford so I am going to see if I can visit it tomorrow. It's one of those things that when it's on your doorstep you think it will always be there, though I do think the owners are being a bit short sighted as if the volunteers pull out they will get nothing for it as it's underground so can't be sold for anything useful.
Also got an energy statement and I see I am still getting estimated readings despite having a smart meter so a phone call will be made 🙄.
This morning I have finished reading a book, the salt path as it is due out as a film shortly and I want to go to see it. If a film is based on a book I like to read the book first to compare the two. If you don't know, it is based on a true story and I found I had become invested in the people so I have had to get the next book to see what happens to the people. Luckily both are on my ereader so no physical space taken up in the house 😁. If anyone hasn't read it if you find it in a cs I think it would be worth a read 😁.
Right time to do something 😁
Hugs to everyone who would like one

Have been packing up some more of the neutral items when I have had boxes to hopefully drop off in a couple of weeks. Cannot really see a difference but at least they are leaving the house earlier as requested which works well for me as I need some electrical work doing upstairs.I have also been working on another 2 shoeboxes so i will be really ahead with these aswell as it will have meant 6 completed by June…..a record for me.
Have sold a few more items on V. I’m going to have to guess for my totals but i think it’s 3, could be a couple more. I’ve got more items to list, just haven’t had chance.
Generally
237)-239) items x 3 sold on V
240) a Christmas decoration that I really wanted and thought was a good idea at the time, but impossible to clean -recycling

I don't think I have posted this week.
Sunday at Church - I was the only leadership person there so had to keep an eye on everything and everybody. After the service we were busy - getting the hall ready for the carpet to be cleaned while we are shut for half term. It was a lot of furniture moving.
A friend gave me some dvds to watch. We watched two Bette Davis films - Old Acquaintance and The Star.
I popped to SA on Monday to help with some recycling.
I finished the voiles on Tuesday.
Mr F had an appointment for a blood test and chest xray - we had to pay on the buses..
My new overlocker was delivered.
My daughter and granddaughter called by with some repairs to be done.
I did the repairs and finished pom poms and tie backs. They have been collected ready to go to London tomorrow.
I decluttered some blankets to a Freecycler.
Other decluttering was weeds and leaves from the front garden.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Not only did I take the rest of the day off yesterday, I seem to have taken today off as well.
All I have to show for today is a couple of papers out and a big mess of papers, books and birthday cards over the table and sofa!
Tomorrow is another day ...Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅10 -

Volunteering day yesterday as it's half term I added a extra day, a nice steady day visitor wise, very few children and some nice conversations with other book lovers 🙂 and more to the point no books brought home!I dropped a nut from a embroidery hoop this morning which bounced quite a longways, I spent ages tracking it down but at least everything I pulled got a clean behind it and I decluttered far too many dust bunnies
a few things found behind furniture was binned and a couple of things taken upstairs to be put in their proper homes. I finally found it under my desk in the dining room, I'm now thinking both the desk and monitor could be rehomed as I haven't used either since i retired? I'm volunteering tomorrow in town (so no books!)so may list at the weekend on free cycle
I have a date to declutter my hip in July so 7 weeks to do as much as possible to ensure I'm a trip free zoneLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin12 -

Thursday is overcast & breezy with a high of 22°C & low of 14°C. Last night I menu planned for 5 days & wrote a shopping list which I completed this morning. DH & DSis set off just before 14:00 & I was out the door 5 minutes later. Bus to Canary Wharf, visited bank to pay in PB wins & withdraw cash & then straight home on bus - round trip 45 minutes. Descaled the kettle whilst updating accounts & sorting out June & July’s 1p Savings Challenge. Put all the shopping away & whilst DH went out for his walk, I had a long bath having prepped dinner beforehand. Dinner was sausages, mash, baked beans & chopped tomatoes. Wudupa.
