Been out of it with fatigue the last couple of days - I normally lose 2 - 3 days a week to it so not unexpected. Did watch a dvd yesterday that can now go, but the one I watched today, OH will want to watch so can't get rid just yet.
OH did a phone call for me today as too fatigued to do it, but I made the decision as to what he was to say and I was pleased I chose the route I did as it meant I was sticking up for myself again. I very nearly instructed him to give in on my behalf so I am glad I realised what I was about to do and changed tack.
I like this new Ocean.
Did do some more papers on Sunday before the fatigue struck so things are still edging along.
Fingers crossed I will be ok to get on with things tomorrow as there's plenty on the list.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅15 -
Assignment Frog is maybe 50% there, but I had a twitchy bum today and kept leaving my desk to do procrastination!Meanwhile, DH has started to go through his everlasting box of stuff cleared from his desk but not properly dealt with, and has brought 5 or 6 boxes down from the loft, this includes old lecture notes from last century, so we are in the process of reducing to (I guess) 1 or two boxes, and have filled the office recycling bin twice already.I've also added a couple of bin loads of shredded paper to the compost heap, having swept up some of the dead leaves and spent blossom to mix it with.Removals companies are coming to quote on Friday week so we need to figure out what is not coming with us and do some tidying.Decluttering awards 2025: 🏅🏅⭐️ ⭐️, DH: ⭐️ and one for Mum: 🏅14

The pile of clothes hanging in the bedroom has now moved to the edge of the bath in the ensuite We never use the bath. We have 2 showers instead in case anyone might think we never washed! This is quite handy as I can organize the mess into neat piles. So far I’ve been washing everything to freshen things a bit and have four tee shirts to of and a brand new pair of leg warmers.so
4 teeshirts
1pair leg warmers
total 5= 295+5=300/365
Hugs for everyone who would like one.13 -

@Brambling, not sure but I have a feeling tv licences might be going digital so if your friend has an email account it might be worth checking there.

Thanks for all your ideas re DM's itching. It's not kidneys, as apparently it's the wrong place. I think DM has magnesium in one of her meds and I don't personally think it's anything to do with a reaction to her meds but to do with her brain damage either from the dementia or the stroke. I'm waiting to see what the GP says. We're trying to ensure she's not too hot at night as that might start her off. Today I've been trying to notify lots of companies that DM's moved out of her house to my DSis3. It was all hands to the deck with the move but her room and bathroom is lovely and it will be so much easier to wash her now. When I rang the Pension Credit, they wanted to know if we'd sold DM's house and made it sound as if we had to! When I asked why they wanted to know, they said because it's an asset and we're paying her money. She hasn't moved into a care home and they only give her £10 odd a week so why they're saying this, I don't know but a form is coming? The whole of this stuff is a nightmare as if the caring isn't enough. Went for an eye check and came out £420 lighter!Florenceem, you've been very busy with your sewing! Lovely work. Loving everyone's photo's, boats, garden's dogs, super selection.Oceanspirit, it was lovely to hear how much condfidence you got and I wonder what the activity was? I used to run groups for children to improve confidence in the past. We also used to take them on residentials where we used team building activities for a similar reason and it was always good to see some really blossom.I think I read somewhere that McMillan are stopping the personal advice as they are struggling with donations and are going to cut advisers and keep the costly bigwigs, saying they have to pay a lot to get the best people. Not sure I agree with that myself......And I agree with Anne, Brambling, they have gone digital with TV licences now.Muddy walker, I was impressed with your new signature. Such progress!I've not done much decluttering as a result but I did go for a walk with DH and DD1's dog Ronnie so that was quite nice. Just a few books and a video plus a few clothes this week so far. I have been going through more sewing stuff in the room of doom in small 5 minute bursts.TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.14

@_Dolly_Rocker_ - I do hope the cats are doing better. Is Bailey going to be okay? Cats can be so worrying as they can't tell us how the feel.14

- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Tuesday started as a lovely sunny day but has clouded over although still warm with a high of 22°C & low of 8°C. Window cleaners have been - I needed to pay for 2 visits as I was away last time . Had a lovely chat with them about their recent holiday on the Isle of Wight (which got me thinking about London_1 😊) DH has been busy again - doing some work on the bike. Straight into cheerleading:
GrannyKate, I am looking forward to seeing your lovely new kitchen 😊 but I imagine not as much as you are looking forward to getting the kitchen restocked & all the chaos over & done with 😉 Pleased to hear that Mr Sox is being so affectionate even if it is only for 15 minutes a day 😊 Excellent decluttering 👏 & good luck with your planned digital decluttering & your list of frogs 🍀 Please take it easy with your elbow 🙏
Liverpool_Anne, sorry to hear about your friend’s husband 😔 Not sure I would class Sunday as I a slow day especially as you started tackling the bamboo👏 Excellent decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering ruby_eskimo 👏. I see I have been remiss in making awards 🙊 Having checked my records please find enclosed Three Gold Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Good luck tackling your clothes decluttering 🍀
TC77, what a shame you missed your course 😔 Fingers crossed you have now found both the credit card & travel card 🤞
Florenceem, thanks for the information about Chicago 🙂 Excellent decluttering 👏
Brie, loved your way of describing packing for your trip to Canada 😊 I imagine your OH is looking forward to being “……. taught how to declutter grass on an industrial sized ride on mower.”
Excellent decluttering Pennypincin 👏 Good luck with your exams 🍀
retiredinfrance, great work sorting out your clothing & only leaving the bedroom “a tad untidy” 👏 Bringing back ruth gets my vote 😉
Brambling, excellent work dealing with your friend’s paperwork 👏 What a good friend you are 🥹 Please accept some flowers 💐 & a box of chocolates 🙂 Good luck passing on the bags of sewing/haberdashery items 🍀 especially as you have decided not to add to your own supplies 😉
Yippee to finding your travel card TC77 🥳 I know I shouldn’t have but I did laugh at This “Most surfaces look like the bed spread out with things to sort @retiredinfrance!” 😂
More apologies due to you Moorviews 😔 as I laughed out loud when I read the last part of This “We spend far too much time looking for things in this house. Worse for me since Mr MV retired as he has too much time to put things in the wrong places. It wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t forget where he put them!” Great work in the garden 👏 & I will keep my fingers crossed that you get everything planted out 🤞Nothing wrong with taking advantage of the good weather to get outside work done 😊
Lovely post Liverpool_Anne 😊 Re the TV licence, I am still doing mine by post as the paper reminder stills allows the option of doing this 😮💨 I have a feeling that they are not allowed to restrict payment to just one option 🤞What a lovely way to spend time - watching ducklings in your friend’s garden & great news that her husband’s physio is working so well 🥹 Good luck removing the rendering 🍀 & I am keeping my fingers crossed that the electrician’s visit goes well 🤞
Another lazy day for me - so much for starting on the decluttering & dealing with frogs 😔 DH & DSis took the car out & picked up Kentucky. Wudupa.
882 - 883 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
884 - 886 Kitchen, lr & DSis bedroom detritus - binned
Florenceem, a busy Sunday & Monday for both you & MrF 👏 Hopefully as it took you all morning to count monies, that means the stall at the Fayre was well attended 🙏 Sorry to hear that your DGD A was unsuccessful at her first interview 😔 but hopefully the other interview went well 🤞
Lovely to see you _Dolly_Rocker_ 👋 Sorry to hear about Bailey & Luna 😔 I hope that they are both on the mend 🙏 Hopefully spending time with you will mean that your Mum is better able to cope with your DB 🙏 Well done on your continuing success in paying off debt & using up toiletries stash 👏
QueenJess, hopefully you can have a couple of weeks free from work before starting a new job 🤞Excellent work sorting out the library 👏
Lovely to see you Muddy_Walker 👋 Excellent decluttering 👏 Fingers crossed that you get a PIP tribunal date soon 🤞 Lovely to read This “I am very happy with all that. Things feel lighter and clearer and I am looking forward to “just” working, household stuff and garden!” 🥹
oceanspirit, sorry to hear about the fatigue 😔 but well done on successfully maintaining the new positive attitude 🥹
YBR, great work on the Assignment 👏Hopefully your DH is properly on board with the decluttering & you can reduce the 5 or 6 boxes to just One or maybe even None 🤞
retiredinfrance, great news that your bedroom is now clear of clothes & that you have the space to sort out what is staying or going 👏
Lovely cheerleading Brambling 😊
sqwiffy, hopefully the GP will be able to help sort out your DM’s issue with itching 🙏 As to the Pension Credit issue, I do hope you can get it sorted out without too much difficulty or stress 🙏 Great idea to tackle the sewing stuff in the room of doom in 5 minute bursts 👏 It is surprising how effective this is 😊
Great work with the laundry & the frog Liverpool_Anne 👏 Hope you managed to sort the ‘union thing’ 🤞
All caught up, so off to bed. Sleep tight everyone 😴

@Squiffy just mentioning attendance allowance for your DM if you're not claiming it for her. It's often overlooked and I think it still exists..
Broken pegs, some.small bits of.paper and unsubscribing yesterday... abit of a stretch claiming 3. My cousin last helped over 18 months ago I'm not sure she'd think 3000 things have left the house or I suppose some are digital.
Hoping to get.to.the donation hub today to drop off a bag at lunchtime as wfh today.16
