Thinking of you @weenancyinAmerica. Hope you're better soon.
Hugs and congratulations to those that need them.
I've managed to list some plant pots on the recycle WhatsApp group, which swiftly were snapped up.
The pillow cases have been rehomed.
The base sheets are lurking as I've not been able to pass them on due to the person not being at church.
The pots should be passed on in the new couple of weeks.
Several packets of veg seeds have been rehomed as I've not got the time of patience at the moment.
My garden isn't quite ready for them either.
I've lost track of stuff that has come in, although it's mainly clothes due to weight gain.
Several birthday presents plus cards have now gone, plus quite a few tins of food from the cupboard as I'd noticed that I'd started collecting them again.
I may not be able to do much for the next few weeks due to studying and exams next month.
I'm hoping once that's done, I'm going to be able to crack on with tidying and decluttering.Decluttering campaign 2023

Thank you @Mrs Salad-Dodger for the lovely flowers and good wishes for the successful sorting out of summer clothes. As our chums will probably know , putting everything out on the bed is not a good idea. The bedroom is still a tad u tidy with piles of clothes hanging over the bed end. However I have washed all the white tee shirts which are to be divided between garden wear and summer night wear with any light weight trousers I can organise. The thing about summer here is that there are two categories one set for true summer and the other for very very hot days which are very frequent and increasing. The first wet day is earmarked for the sorting out. I wish I could add my total but it stays at 295/365.
Hugs for everyone who would like one.
Just thinking about the typo in my last post where I hit Ruth instead of ruthless - we say senseless and sense so we no longer need ruth. Bring back ruth I say!16 -
I spent almost six hours today going through a friend's many many carrier bags full of paperwork 🥱 she called me ruthless but did say it saved me doing it once she's dead! I managed to get it down to one bag to file and left her with the last of the shredding in a bag, let's hope she doesn't get them confused. I've told her I'll be back next Monday to go through her years worth of filing boxes. I found 20+ years of letters re TV licenses but not the current one 🙄
I've brought two bags of non paperwork stuff home which I've left in my car which needs to go to CS or put onto free cycle as I don't need anymore sewing / haberdashery items, there are only so many cotton reels and scissors a person needs and although tempted I don't need them which is why they haven't come in yet

@Pennypincin.. good luck with the studying and exams.
Nearly gave up on my travel card after hunting again moving furniture and found it had fallen behind the bag to go through with my cousin!
Left in on hall chest for work tomorrow!
Most surfaces look like the bed spread out with things to sort @retiredinfrance!14 -
- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Monday has been a brighter day as less cloudy & finally clear blue skies from late afternoon with a high of 19°C & a low of 10°C - although the breeze is still a bit chilly. DH has been quite busy today: he spent a couple of hours tidying the garage, repaired the broken tray from the garage fridge, mowed the front lawn - ours & ndn, filled the bird feeders & watered the garden. I dealt with my mail & then continued my marathon catch up of Casualty - all done 😊 Now have no excuses so need to start tackling decluttering, cleaning & dealing with frogs 😉 Dinner was the rest of the pork with mash & baked beans. Crazycatlady2, oh my Luna & Oreo are soooooo cute 😻
Fizz2015, how fortunate to have a beach to yourselves 😊 & then a barbecue for tea 😊 Decluttering might be on a go slow but it is ticking over nicely 👏 Good luck using up food stocks from larder, fridge & freezer 🍀
YBR, my DM used to hate sewing name tags into school uniforms 😉 Sounds like you & your DDs have been busy 🙂 Well done getting your laundry done 👏 Good luck with your last assignment 🍀
Brie I agree with you - more pictures of Luna & Oreo ☺️
Floss, yippee to being successful in getting PIP
weenancy, 😬 to the exploding outlet 😬 I do hope that the electrician managed to sort it out & that everything is now safe 🙏 Great work decluttering overstocked food stuffs 👏 Good luck with the yard sale 🍀 Perhaps you can use some of the proceeds for a new toaster 🤔 Re This “We have been putting out a donation box at our book sales. At the last one the donations box made $55 more for us. We will be moving our little book store into a larger room next year that might hold most of our books. This would help a lot as right now the book sale stuff is only available 5 hours a month. In the larger room, they would be available whenever the library was open. We would just hold a sale in certain areas like fiction or DVDs every month and not have to have our regular book sales except maybe once or twice a year instead of monthly, which would save a lot of time and effort. We would still need to spend time in the sales room getting out the new donations but everything would be nearby. We would even have tables in there we could sit and really check out what we have.” what a great idea 🥳 Hopefully it will all be put in place early next year 🤞
Muddy_Walker, I am really lucky with the flowers as I leave them to their own devices, chop them down to the ground at the end of the season & they return bigger & bolder each year 😊 Excellent work in your garden especially tackling the ‘vicious weed grasses’ 👏
TC77, pleased to hear that you had such a lovely time with your old school friends ☺️ Excellent decluttering 👏 sounds like you were invigorated by spending time with your friends 😁 Good luck creating lists of tasks that your cousin can help out with next weekend 🍀
Brambling, good luck finding a gardener 🍀 This “I picked up some books from the CS in town the week, there was a very persuasive volunteer 🫣” did make me smile 😃
Heading off to bed now & will finish the cheerleading tomorrow 🙂 Sleep tight everyone 😴

The peonies are beautiful Mrs SD! Mine are still in bud, although some of the roses have started opening. I do love this time of the year.Gorgeous kitties Crazy Cat Lady, they will create mayhem for sure!
TC77 - glad you found your travel card. We spend far too much time looking for things in this house. Worse for me since Mr MV retired as he has too much time to put things in the wrong places. It wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t forget where he put them!
We are getting on quite well with the planting out of things. I am determined to have no sad plants lingering in plant pots this year. If I manage this it will be a first! The household washing of throws, duvets etc. has begun and I shall hopefully flick a duster around in the next couple of days. The house is being neglected in favour of the garden. I can’t seem to do everything unfortunately but it badly needs vacuuming. Frogs are building up too!15 -
Hi all, lovely day yesterday visiting friend M. She has ducklings on her pond which were so cute. Her DH is now able to walk only using a walking stick so all the physio she is paying for is proving worth it 😁. Another friend C was there as well to give advice about some work she needs doing on the rendering at the back of the house and somehow we all agreed to come and help remove the old rendering to save her some money, luckily it's a bungalow 😂.
I have had a recall letter for my car to get the airbags replaced so it's been booked into the garage to get that done on 4th June. The car is 15 years old so another couple of weeks wait isn't an issue 😁. The bathroom bin was emptied and after tea I did some crochet as I need to crack on with that and I watched the footy on tv.
OH has finally got an electrician out to sort things and spent most of the day there moving furniture around so sockets etc could be reached. An agreement has been made about what work needs to be done and OH has agreed a price and the electrician is returning next Monday to do it, which is OH's day off so no need for me to be involved which is just as well as my footy team have an open top bus tour on that day that I will pop along to see 😁.
It is cloudy and grey here this morning, not very inspiring and I have a union thing this afternoon so not sure what I will get done 😁.
@weenancyinAmerica sounds like a good plan for the book sales, making them available for people to buy more often should increase the money you are able to raise which is all good 😁 but please remember to look after yourself, hugs.
@Brie safe travels, good luck with what you need to do at your mom's, I hope it's not too emotional for you. Lucky OH learning to ride the lawn mower 😁
@Brambling, not sure but I have a feeling tv licences might be going digital so if your friend has an email account it might be worth checking there.
@TC77 glad you found your travel card 😁
@Moorviews I know what you mean about the house being neglected in favour of the garden, regulaly happens here, and not just for the garden 😂. I am not a natural at housework 😂
Right time for another cuppa
Hugs to everyone who would like one

There was a fayre in the nearby park on Sunday - C set up a stall so there was a Church presence.
Mr F and I sorted donations after the service. We didn't go up to the park in the afternoon - very busy there for Mr F to use his rollator and uneven ground.
Yesterday I was at SA by 9 to count money - this took all morning.
We took some donations to the charity shop in the afternoon. This gives Mr F some exercise as it is usually around 4000 steps by the time we get home.
My granddaughter - A had an interview yesterday for a teaching post but was unsuccessful. She has another interview today so we are praying for her.
A needed a lesson plan printed and some card so came to nannie for it. When I was sorting strong white card for A - I saw how much card and paper I have. Headteacher daughter's school budget has not been increased so I am going to sort out anything I think may be useful for resources. A and her mum can share it between them.

Hi all,
Been amiss for a while.
Had a couple of weeks off work so stayed away from the laptop for a bit, then my new boiler broke down, Luna cut her paw and Bailey ended up with a split open head.
I've been keeping up with paying off the debt and using up the toiletry stash so I'll update my posts later.
I also had my mum staying with me for 4 weeks to escape my alcoholic brother who lives with her but honestly I had to send her back on Sunday because I need a bit of space tbh she's a hard woman to live with.
Working today and got a 3 dog walks booked so I'll update all my posts later on.
Hugs to those who need it and looking forward to catching up with all the posts again.Debt Free - 4th June 202518 -
Not much to report this end - it's effectively my last week at work and it's the usual rush to get everything done by the end of the week. Once that's done, I'm hoping I can get back to gardening and sorting anything in the house. At least the library is now done and looks lovely again... only took me 5 months!4 - DS tat (charity box)
