A very late evening all
@ Muddy_Walker - Hats off for sorting out some of the very difficult frogs xx I have to agree that no one wants to take responsibility for anything and 'pass the buck' & 'red tape' both scream at the forefront of anything you try to do!
I so sympathise with the dreading making appointments and then having to fight receptionists, who usually haven't got a clue, put unnecessary barriers in your way, or just want to 'pass the buck' so they do very little to help - So very frustrating, especially as it's also exhausting at the same time
You did make me laugh with Rogan the Rocker who I could see smashing up an hotel room & Rogan the chilled out Boy Bander
Both gorgeous pics
and I see that you have 2 helpers with the bed making
There will be absolutely nothing going on decluttering wise for the next couple of days, except for the HH basics as I'm absolutely fatigued having been so busy and having had only 2 hours very uncomfortable chronic pain surface sleep for the past 3 nights, including tonight
Popping off to get another mug of coffee & catch up on the shambolic news - Night night all

I did practically no decluttering this week, but I did submit an assignment yesterday.Meanwhile, DH has had the kitchen table covered with a rotating heap of stuff from the garage, and a good amount of that is going out or stacked for the yard sale (we'll probably offer to the neighbours first). Some will be kept in case of need when we do work on our current house prior to letting it out and then binned. The rest is at least going back tidily!Today and tomorrow will probably be about getting the kids through their homework, and planning a church service, because we can all prevaricate endlessly.Decluttering awards 2025: 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️, DH: 🏅🏅⭐️, DD1: 🏅 and one for Mum: 🏅18

@Liverpool_Anne you did some excellent decluttering while looking for your glasses. I def needed to know the end of the post of whether you had found ur glasses. Def had a win in the hunt for them🙂
I have conceded defeat with the no mow May, I physically can’t do it. A neighbour is working on it, has plans and ideas for it……I have a few little ideas but happy with their ideas. But we do have a trade off. They are not great with paperwork, I love it (when it flows), have already done some paperwork for them in the past and I’m happy to do any paperwork for them in the future.
It is amazing how I can get their paperwork done straight away for neighbour but with my own I have tadpoles, frogs and one toad!Decluttering wise, 5 more items sold on V, how I hate packing but I suppose it’s getting packaging out of the house aswell that I have saved ‘Justin’.
217)-221) items x 5 sold on v
222) more packaging used up and out!Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hi,
I am reading along but have nothing much to report.Rohan looks like a different dog after his trim. I am still trying to cut lumps off fluffy cat but in this weather she doesn’t come home much and she has about a minute patience max for knot snipping.DD1 came yesterday, we went out to a Vegan restaurant in Manchester which was lush.I did send her home with the air fryer which we have used twice for her ex. That is a big space made in the kitchen cupboard.Liverpool Anne, that made me laugh. Shame you can’t feign loosing your glasses more often to get OH to oust stuff.Lovely gesture from the lady at the PO Mrs SD. There are some great people around, that includes everyone on this thread. ❤️
Win win situation with skill swap Happy Kitties.I am having a little break from knitting, my hands hurt. I am getting on with a project that has been several years in the planning! Mr V had a Scout blanket with about a hundred badges on it. I have taken all the badges off and lay them in tissue under the sitting room rug. The plan was to put them in a flower press but I can’t find it so must have de cluttered it. I have bought a frame from the charity shop and I will arrange them on some fabric with spray glue. No way am I sewing them all on!
I did a house viewing yesterday morning. They have made an asking price offer. I won’t get excited just yet.We have had a lot of helicopters flying over. A massive fire on the moors. It has been a very dry Spring.Take care Vx:17 -
- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Forgot to post again ☹️ Saturday was a dry & sunny day but the temperatures are on the way down with a high of only 20°C & a low of 10°C. DH was busy in the garden today - trimmed both back & front hedges, strimmed then mowed the back lawn, weeded the raised beds & generally tidied up. I pitched in with several 10 minute bursts of pruning & weeding. DH managed to get 80% of his steps done so only a short walk needed. Dinner was sliced beef in gravy with mash, carrots & peas. There is enough beef in gravy leftover for 1.5 meals - bagged & frozen. Wudupa

I'm still more or less where I want to be on maintenance. Two Richard Osman books and City Adrift read and out to the bookswap. Replaced an oval roasting tin that had seen better days with a square glass one. Sorted through music scores and put some print outs in the recycling and one grade one book to the bookswap. Bought a desk, a replacement fabric purse and some muslin clothes (I bought baby ones but only kept the plain colours. The cute ducklings and bunny rabbit ones went in the textiles bank).
I still need to take my old computers and scanner to the refuse and recycling centre and perhaps get a combined printer/scanner. I want to find a 'home' for it before I bring it in though. Ideally near a plug socket so I'm not moving it back and forth.Fashion on the Ration 2025 - 1.5 coupons remaining

If you have more music scores you might try offering them on freegle or similar. I nabbed some from someone, specifying I just wanted ones that might be falling apart or incomplete as I wanted them for art collages. I ended up with much too much so decluttered excess to my painting group - everyone wanted some.diminua said:I'm still more or less where I want to be on maintenance. I just went for a walk and listened to the last half of the decluttering podcast. I went through my wardrobe when I got home and I have 24 items of clothing to donate!

My friend texted me and he and his wife have started Slimming World and already lost 4 lbs each through watching their diet and increasing exercise. I was supposed to be losing weight too so I could lower my cholesterol. I lost 5 lbs back in February and then stopped, lol. They are putting me to shame as he is mid 70s. I think I will start making an effort again with trying to lose weight. I'm going to walk on the treadmill now to make sure I hit 70,000 steps this week.2025 GOALS

Feeling like I am making no progress at the moment, but I will try to do another pile of tidying later and may clean out some kitchen cupboards/drawers tomorrow. All clothes are now put away and it's the general tidying that needs to be sorted. I'm itching to get the kitchen sorted, but I need to use things up first.Lots of things in 1 pack of seeds (free), 2 DVDs and 2 books for DS. I survived the car boot very well but the kids went wild with everything 50p or £1... DD now has 6 new unicorns
and I walked her past quite a lot of cuddlies very quickly! It is their money though, but clearly a dangerous place to visit!2 - candles used up
2 - kitchen cupboard overstock used up

I haven't posted since Thursday.
Friday morning - our retired officer called here - no one at SA and he needed to get a collecting pot + mags. I went round with him to save him borrowing my keys and bringing them back.
After I returned home I did Mr F's toe nails - some of them are so thick - he will have to make a Podiatry appt some time.
I filled my shopping trolley ready for the charity shop.
We didn't have much bread for the birds but gave them what we had on our way into town.
Took donations to the charity shop and then had a stroll along the harbour and sea front to get some steps done.
Watched an episode of The Chosen and 2 films in the evening.
The films were black & white - The Reckless Moment and Crow Hollow.
