@daisy_1571 love the tie dye idea. I gave away lots of fabric dyes a few years ago and threw v old ones away.
Cousin not coming this weekend and have long list of frogs and also areas I want to declutter but know its the equivalent of my eyes are bigger than my tummy, in that I want to do all these things but in reality if I did half I would be v happy.
Have a unused pillow for donation hub and trying out a couple of odd pillows from my dad's, one is a latex one with holes and the other one shaped. They may well go.
775 counting the bits this morning.
Love the lined dried clean sheets on the bed. I did buy nice Egyptian cotton sheets a few years ago as a treat.
Hope everyone gets some relaxation over the long weekend.12 -

I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy11 -
Good evening everyone & another beautiful day we've had weather wise@ ruby_eskimo - Great to see you again! I know what you mean by pages of posts to try and get around to reading, but that's what makes it such a wonderful thread
Great going with the continual decluttering and sorting - slowly, slowly cathes the monkey, so to speak
@ Florenceem - What a shambles with Mr.F's change of Falls Clinic appointment and then having to go to the hospital because it was to Dr that had changed, not the appointment. If you hadn't have gone, they would have assumed that you didn't any more appointments - you know what it's like!Disgraceful when there's such obvious misunderstanding from the hospital side of what exactly is happening!
Anyway, at least the Dr. was very nice
@ Mrs_Salad_Dodger - Loving the gift & card from your P.O ladyIf you happen to have any After Eight mints left, you know where to send them, please! Daxie obviously excluded, not that she'd wouldn't be trying to get 1 or 2
@ QueenJess - Thanks for the custard creams and hm jam tartsWhy does that feel so relaxing when you think about it? Must be the thought of comfort food
Lots happening here, but far too much to write aboutDecluttering sales parcels still ongoing, babyface has been doing great and then had a very strange turn just as we were arriving home back from an early wood walk. Fortunately, nothing I couldn't deal with and I spoke to the her Vet immedately as I've seen that look before, and it's not a good one. She's now on full rest for the weekend
, so it looks like I'm going to be living in the bedroom, as the only way she'll rest, is when I am - never mind, as tbh, I really do need to catch up on some rest / sleep as my recent Wednesday blood results are far from good
Hopefully, it won't be so hot here over the weekend
Neighbour is fitting new Bat Girl ramps tomorrow which is very kind of them

Went to the FamilySearch Center early to help out with a group coming. We went early to make sure the printer was working. Oh my, I finally realized that someone had reset the paper size - but have no idea how to reset it, so spent the evening running paper through the by-pass one sheet at a time. Tried two sheets at a time, but the printer refused them. Also when we got there, neither stapler was working. And one computer was down and the other refused to believe it was in the FamilySearch Center so couldn't get the special programs. Was there with four men and the director who is a she - and guess who ended up fixing everything. The director and I. None of the men there had the slightest idea of what to do and were afraid to try anything. We also had extra people show up besides the group. But we did have everything "working" as best we could by the time the group arrived. Mostly Tongan young people. I am learning how to do more Tongan research every year. We were very successful. One young lady already had her ancestry back into the early 1600s in Tonga - I was really impressed. Her family has been working on it for years, including finding oral records.
After three days, roommate G has come home from the hospital. Just went to bed yesterday, but today he got up and made a chicken salad for dinner tonight. Hope he stays sober from now on - like he has promised (many times).
Up early thanks to youngest cat waking me at 5:10. Wouldn't have been so bad, but I didn't get to sleep until 1:30. Got up and fed the cats, made up shopping order. Did a week's grocery shopping after my Knitting class this morning. Took a long time to get everything put away. Then took a nap. Didn't mean to nap for long but I fell asleep at the computer and needed to lie down for awhile. Up in time to feed the cats again.
Currently, young cat has the zoomies. The other two are staying out of the way and just sleeping. Hoping for a quiet weekend with church and cleaning being the only things on the calendar. Plus rain.13 -
Good early morning all@ weenancyinAmerica - You made me smile with the useless men @ the FamilySearch Center not having a clue about the printers / staplers ect - Isn't that typical?!
It seems that women are far more savvy with techie stuff these days
Very interesting about the Tonga research & how awesome to have someone young taking interest in their family history managing to get back to the 1600s
Glad G seems to be on the mend and I hope all goes well with him keeping sober, this time
@ your young cat having the zoomies but not about waking yu up at 5.10, especially as you had a late night
I don't wonder that you had to take a nap and so many times I too have fallen asleep at the computer mid doing something which doen't seem to get any better
I've got absolutely no idea why I'm up so early this morning, especially as I didn't fall asleep until around 2.30am. On the plus side, I had some spine support bedding arrive yesterday and fitted on the bed which has helped relieve some of my chronic pain to the point I can get some sleep, even if it's no more than 3-4 hours with a couple of breaks through the night - Naturally, babyface thinks it's been fitted for her comfort and was straight on the bed checking things out once all the bedding was put back, laying right in the middle of the bed with the look of ' Nice bed, so where are you sleeping?'I might go and feed some plants after I've decluttered a couple of mugs of coffee
Babyface has had a good night despite having a slight temperature, but nothing that I couldn't deal with. She's presently still snoring away so I'll get the basic HH jobs & plant feeding done before I head back to bed for a few hours so that I know she'll keep resting / sleeping
Fortunately, it's going to be cooler over the next few days here, typical Bank Holiday weather which may include rain on Monday. Parcels ready to declutter off to postie this morning / afternoon with babyface ramps being fitted at 3pm this afternoon
Time to get moving a little, so wishing everyone a lovely peaceful SaturdayToodle-pip for now xxx
EDIT: All HH jobs & garden feeding done. Decluttering another mug of coffee while waiting for wash load to finish before pegging out on the line and heading back to bed with Babyface in tow who's up been in the garden as helper, scoffed a big breakfast; which is a great positive for her this morning and is now, like me, waiting for the washing to finish~ NSD 2025 - NSD May 4/20 (4 x💯)# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £603.29 / £667.95 (90%)# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £9423.18 / £12,000 (78.5%)# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1170.23 / £1,378 (85%)~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺~ Decluttering Awards 2025: 🏅🏅☕️⭐️💐🏅⭐️⭐️☕️☕️⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £567.79 / £2025 (28%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯15 -
Gosh @Dizzycap you've been so productive already.
@Chrystal thank you for letting me know about latex pillow. Tried it last night and undecided but will use for a week and my dB is staying next week so he can try if I'm not keen!
I woke well before 6 and have been pottering, went through drawer of tablecloths mainly from my mum some of which I think were her parents with many beautifully embroidered, starched and in dry cleaning bags. Not quite sure what to do with these or if there's a market/ interest. The Striped/ checked ones from my childhood I use in the garden and just put one on the dining table and moved others I may use into the dining room from the living room where they will never be used. I do feel I'm tinkering around the edges or moving the deckchairs.i found 4 lovely old Oxford pillow cases with no marks among table cloths but look like made for bigger pillows. Going to check and hopefully use them. Soaking sheets will be next week when the weather is meant to be better for drying in my north facing garden. About to wash dd2's cricket whites ready to pass on and hopefully find things for cs and to list.
2 pens out so far -definitely tinkering11
