@Dizzycap ... I have a lovely house, 5 mins , or.almost in the town centre and a fast train 8 minutes to London, and closed off to through traffic but v cold (think there's a stream underneath) too big, and was here with dd1s and she struggles to.visit as bad memories. However I have done work and repainted and friends always say they'll swap wirh me. Ideally where I want to move to ( locally but far eniugh way to be differenr area) has many too small cottages with steep steps or 3 bed houses spread over 4 floors ( v impractical) . We're still.sorting my dad's house out and waiting for it to sell which is a few hours away by train and I have too much stuff.
If a house in a particular road comes up I'd put an offer in and did see one last year but there was a restriction or not having a car so I didn't make a offer.. 3 weeks later my car was hit while parked in my quiet street and written off and I've managed without one. The one I saw last week had a very large garden - twice the size of the rest of the terrace which I didn't know or want.
Thinking of moving to another part of london is beyond me at the moment with work/multi year major frogs and too much stuff. I had thought I'd have reduced hours at work as a wind down to retirement by now but hasn't happened. Dd2 going to Australia for a year is a surprise as her first choices were Scandinavia. So now thinking that I could travel for a few months.
Since I got rid of my very big dining table and 8 chairs chosen by my ex and I've lived with for over 20 years and other furniture and have my dad's I am really enjoying my house more.
Sorry for the long ramble.

Hi, forgot to say yesterday that I was back at cake decorating on Wednesday. No new people, just E and I so not sure how long it will run for. We did some more modeling and I made this. It is supposed to be a forever friends bear but I am not convinced 🤣. The tutor asked if we wanted to do some cup cakes next week to celebrate VE day but I said no, not because of VE day but because of the cup cakes so next week we are just going to practice piping on a board which is fine by me 😁.
I spent a long time yesterday sorting the union case but it is done 😁. The only other thing that got done was 1 LDFPA.
Today I am out for tea for a friend's 60th birthday. I don't think it will be a late night as she is a carer for both her parents as well as working full time and never stays out very long but hopefully we can make it a nice time for her.
@maikdonmend welcome aboard, I look forward to following your journey 😁
@Brie well done on the homework prize
I have a few other things on my list for today so off to get another cuppa and get weaving 😁.
Hugs to anybody who would like one

Take care everyone

Went to put the bins out last evening and discovered one was empty. So that meant I had space to do a quick dash into the carport and get some bits that have been lingering there too long. It included a book of the OH's which was post cards and museum booklets that looked like they were from the 60s. Well I've never seen it before so I doubt he even knows it's still exists so in it went along with some other bits til the bin was half full.
This morning I was doing a quick tidy so the boiler guy could do the annual inspection and realised I had worn my garden clogs more than a dozen times since OH bought them for me from Lidl at least 10 years back. They are like crocs but cheaper, didn't fit right and are a right mess from hanging on hooks outside the kitchen door. And right in the way for the boiler guy. So they are the first things in to the freshly emptied bins.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. So satisfying to get a sneaky bin fill Brie. Congratulations on your prize and what a good idea for their stands.Hello and welcome maikdonmend.Nice to see you Liverpool Anne , loving the bear.I went to my first writing group last night. An interesting mix of people. A couple read out their work. Yikes what was I thinking. Feeling completely inadequate today. I promised I would write something to read at the next session. I feel it would be easier if I were writing fiction. It is a responsibility to tell someone else’s story. I have realised that I need somewhere to write that isn’t the sofa or bed. Luckily the studio is clear. Well if I move out the huge storage bag of knitting wool.I tidied my clothes drawers and wardrobe. Nothing to go but I have put everything that needs ironing from my holidays on hangers on the outside of the wardrobe to remind me to do it. I don’t iron much but find I quite enjoy it when I do. Need to do the same with Mr V’s holiday togs too. There a couple of things that need a small repair that I have put in my craft basket. He went to see a radio friend last night. He came back with empty mini disc player packaging. Mr V recycled his mini disc player because it was broken. The guy has no clue what happened to his mini disc player but they are both very happy to hoard an empty box!!!!
I have eaten a frog. Only making an appointment but the thought of doing it makes me come over all Kevin and Perry.I have also made an appointment to view a house in my previous village. Plenty of viewings on our house but no takers yet.I still haven’t sorted my laptop. Why put off till tomorrow what I can put off till the day after the day after tomorrow. 🤣
A big plastic storage box went to the tip. It had gone brittle with age and gave up on its wool storage job.Take care everyone. Vx:14 -
Good afternoon. The skip has now gone. DH managed to fill it completely. A large builders skip just from the shed and garden!
I took DD3F on a family visit Saturday, we went to a hands on optical illusion thing and I think i picked something up as been ill since Tuesday and now DH and DD1 are ill too.
Kids sorted through some more of their room on Sunday and 2 bin liners of stuff went in the bin.
The mentioned below Piano took up a whole day!
We listed it for free but nobody wanted it as it needed fixing. When DD3F came to live with us last year we listed it again and still nothing so it got put outside and wrapped in plastic. Well it somehow hot went and had got mould on it and the wood had gone funny. The Decking it was sat on had also deteriorated and the piano had gone through it. It was extremely well made as took DH absolutely ages to dismantle in to the skip. The metal parts were soooo heavy but the scrap man took those. It was such a shame but we couldn't even give it away.
I have spent so many hours this week helping DD3 do all the revision she was supposed to do in the holidays and decided to leave it all till the last minute then went into panic mode, 9 past exam papers snd so much other revision! Just English to catch up on now before exams start for the 2 of them in 2 weeks.
Well washing has finished so going to try it out for an hour.

Tc77 if you ever saw a house again with too big a garden for you there's a chance one or more neighbours would buy some off you to increase their own gardens

Liverpool_Anne - cute bear.
maikdonmend. - welcome to the thread.
We went to the Doctor's surgery this morning - Mr F had a post hospital admission appointment. He now has to book a chest xray and a blood test.
The Dr was running late but I always allow enough time to travel there - just in case - Mr F always needs a toilet visit before we go out and he is slow getting himself ready. He never was speedy but has slowed down a lot.
It was cloudy but the sun has come out now.
We met an old friend who has moved away to Shropshire on the bus home.
Up early this morning so it will be early to bed tonight.

Friday: a dull overcast day with a forecast high of 16°C & low of 5°C. DSis is out at the hairdressers. DH made my first cuppa & is currently watching MotoGP practice sessions.
Straight into cheerleading, finishing Wednesday’s posts hopefully & starting on those dated Thursday:
You are an inspiration Happy_Kitties 🥹 Such a shame that your GP retired, although pleased to hear that you have managed to find a new GP 😊 Hopefully he will prove just as good & be around for the next 27 years 🙏
Brie, l like the decorated eggs & also the very tidy craft table 😊 It sounds like you are almost ready for your trip to Canada & I imagine you are looking forward to seeing your family 🥹
Lovely post Dizzycap ☺️ I am really enjoying learning about daxies & still pondering how ‘that chap’ could possibly put daxies on an ‘easy to care for’ list of dogs 😂 As you remarked he has obviously never owned a dog at all 😉 Sorry to hear that your neighbours lost their dog over Easter 😢 Excellent work on Wednesday especially taking up the bathroom lino 👏 Hopefully now that you have seen the tail of one of the fox cubs you will soon to get to see at least one whole cub 😉 & babyface will revert to silent observation 🤞Do you know how many cubs there are?
Pennypincin, fingers crossed that the lamp & lightbulbs were collected 🤞
Brambling, This “Delivery today of a armchair for after my hip operation which meant a upset cat, how dare I have two strange men in the house for all of two minutes and they left a large box in the middle of the floor. I then had chair and packaging all over his floor!” had me giggling like a schoolgirl 🙊 Good work taking the opportunity to clear the table whilst waiting delivery of the armchair 👏
DSis is back & her hair is very short & unfortunately does not like anything like the picture she took in (of Judi Dench) ☹️ Now starting on Thursday’s cheerleading:
Lovely post TC77 😊 I hope DD2 is finally starting to look forward to her year abroad 🙏 as I remember you saying how nervous she was about travelling so far & how disappointed that she didn’t get her preferred location of Scandinavia ☹️
Lovely post Moorviews 😊 Excellent decluttering on Tuesday 👏 & hopefully you managed to get to the RC yesterday & declutter even more ‘stuff’🤞 Yippee to you & MrMV agreeing on the rest of the shed clearance 🥳 Hopefully if MrMV does go down the selling route, he will have quick sales 🤞Good luck with your seed sowing 🍀
TC77, fingers crossed that DD1 keeps all the items that you have offered her 🤞Lovely to hear that DD1 & DD2 get on so well that they can study together 🥹 Excellent decluttering of paperwork 👏 & it sounds like you have a plan for the rest of the paperwork 😊 Good luck dealing with the frogs 🍀
oceanspirit, sorry to hear that you overdid it on Tuesday ☹️ so very well done on managing to continue your decluttering on Wednesday 👏 Good luck with continued uu of food supplies 🍀 Fingers crossed that when it comes to restocking it won’t be too expensive 🤞
Excellent decluttering Rootle 👏
Will put the timer on & take a short break as my concentration is flagging. Hope everyone is having as good a day as possible 🤞

Good evening all
I hope everyone has had a peaceful decluttering day xx
@ TC77 - It's very difficult when there's reasons why you would/should move, but finding another property that is suitably practical for your needs with all the amenities, as you know like many others have found, isn't always easy to find@ Liverpool_Anne - Love your banana bearYou've also got your hands totally full with your fathers place at the moment, so lots of stress trying to get things sorted in that direction too. Just keep having a look every now and then and something will eventuially turn up when & if it's meant to be x I do agree with daisy_1571 that if an appropriate house came along with a very large garden, that neighbours may be interesting in purchasing extra land from you:-)Great going with all the paperwork decluttering
I really hope that you have a lovely day at your friends 60th birthday
@ vulpix - All the best with your writing project
@ charlies_tribe - Congratulations on filling the skip & that it's finally gone 🙌🌟🥳🥳
@ Florenceem - Sounds like another busy day but hopefully some peace and rest at the weekend.
@ Mrs_Salad_Dodger - Strangely enough, I was thinking about that specialist guy and the 'easy to care for' dog list. I'd love to see him with my friends gorgeous 6 without Daxie mum or anyone else being there!I've often thought about getting a Beagle as they get on well with Daxies, but when babyface is in one of her full on energy modes, I think I'd go off my rocker
If I'm meant to take on a rescue Beagle, it will just happen & I won't even have time to think about as it would be here within hours
I'm not sure HRH Queen Babyface would initially approve, but we'd get there in the end
There are 3 cubs, so my neighbour has told me, as they were playing on the front drive late one night. I will eventually see them as I certianly hear them and boy the noise & sounds when they're feeding
The issue is that babyface & I hear them at the same time and babyface has decided that she's going to 'talk' to them because she knows I'm trying to see them. I've decided to ignore them for a few nights until babyface shuts it
and then I'll try and sneak out the front door and go and have a look
What's been happening?I was up very early and pottered around in the garden planting up pots and recomposting pots & I gave the garden a good watering as it's going to be hot here for a few days next week, so had to make sure all the birdbaths were clean and full along with the water features, which the birds also love to wash and bath in! All the bird feeders are full with lots of help from my helper who loves prancing about in charge of the proceedings!Wishing everyone a lovely peaceful evening and a very peaceful nights sleep xxI decluttered 2 telephone calls, a doctors appointment, a walk with babyface before whizzing off to Mr. Sains to get a trolly load of lovely recycled flatpack boxes that were sitting there waiting for me to collect
I finally managed a lovely peaceful mug of coffee before postie came to collect the decluttering sales parcels for today. No sooner had he left than I heard the sales ching on my eBy app, so I turned my phone onto silent for a few hours, as I needed some sane time before I even think about packing items ready for decluttering off to postie tomorrow. All the postage labels are printed, I've just got to pack everything. Another full box of decluttered items has gone! Only 4 large boxes left to go which are packed to the brim with no space in sight
I'm sure babyface will be helping with the packing, she's waiting for me to make a move
I've just put the wheelie bins out for decluttering collection tomorrow, so it's PJ & packing time before another welcomes mug of coffee and a catch up with all the latest on MSE xxx
