Loving all the dog pics, our last was a border collie x black Labrador x German shepherd. He was half Lab and had a lovely temperament, (soft as anything but also very confident), very fast and the sheep dog in him loved rounding things up, his favourite subject for rounding up was children given half a chance. He definitely thought they were sheep. He also had far too many brains and got into all sorts of good natured mischief.
His predecessor (spaniel x GS) failed his RAF training but the lessons that stuck really stuck …..including his ability to scale 6 ft fences with ease!✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Funny decluttering attempt from me today which was also a fail!
My back fence blew down during storm Eowyn. Got a quote of £450 for someone to do a bult uplift so thought nah I can sort this myself.
Off I pop to B&Q to buy an axe, saw and an incinerator bin.
Set myself up out in the back garden today quite happy to start burning down my back fence bit by bit.
Within a few minutes I managed to burn my hand (not bad), nearly lost my eyebrows, set fire to a tea towel I was using as a glove then when I was attempting to kick the lid back on as a raging inferno was in progress I melted the toe of my croc.
So I'm gonna give up on that project, load the car up and do several dump runs.
Think that's the best option for my own safety.

I just love all of them and I'd have them all in an absolute heartbeat
This is why I could never go to a rescue centre / shelter to get a dog because I could never choose just one and would probably spend most of my time on the mobile phone rehoming as many as I couldPerhaps that's why I receive phone calls from my local VET or stumble across one off urgent rehomers every now and then, because that's what I'm good at
God knows your heart xxxxx

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Thursday: rained overnight & is raining again at 13:30 although I can see a little bit of blue sky in between the dark clouds. After a short shower we now have a fair expanse of blue sky & even sunshine but it is oh so cold 🥶 high 7°C, low 2°C DH had a bath whilst I was still in bed 😉 I am definitely feeling more with it today 😮💨 I have menu planned for the next 4 days, written a shopping list (DH & DSis left at 13:50) & were back by 15:25) DH had ordered liquid soap refill sachets so these have now been added to the bathroom supplies box & one guess as to what I found……… yes you’ve got it a liquid soap refill 😂 Box has been rearranged, I have filled the soap dispenser & also got rid of some packaging.
488 - 490 Cardboard box & packaging, glass bottle - recycled
491 Bathroom detritus binned
When DH & DSis got back I made DH a bacon sandwich to line his stomach as he is out with ex-colleagues this evening & they are meeting in a pub 😅 DH left at 16:30. Meanwhile I put away the shopping & rather than doing any real decluttering, I tinkered round the edges & made up a pot of Italian herb mix 😉 However this resulted in 3 empty jars which have been recycled 492 to 494. I also tidied up two kitchen cupboard shelves. Back to cheerleading Tuesday’s posts having fallen so far behind:
Florenceem, so sorry to hear about MrF. You are both in my thoughts. Xx
Lovely to see you weenancy 😊 When I read This “Store over here have been putting locking doors over things that are stolen a lot or that they think will be stolen a lot (dog collars and leads, pet flea meds, batteries, flashlights, aspirin, laundry detergent - really?). I have a tendency only to buy them on the days when they have left the doors open or go elsewhere to shop when I can as there is usually a long wait to have someone come and help unlock the doors. One day I was buying batteries and a flashlight, a flash drive for my computer, and pet flea meds - and had to wait for three different people to come (seems the keys only work on certain doors too). Added a couple of hours to my shopping. Getting out of hand.” & was left utterly speechless 😶 & This “I sent my friend in Colorado a box of matches today. Her local stores had run out and it was snowing. She was down to her last three matches. Found out I could send them by surface mail. I put them in a metal box before wrapping them up. Cost more for the postage than for the matches. I hope they will last her for a long time. So decluttered a box and my metal box at least.” almost beggars belief 😳 Yippee to Di decluttering a stack of papers 🥳 Long may her desire to declutter continue 🤞 Fingers crossed that the cardboard boxes will be picked up soon 🤞 Typical that the rain has come all at once rather than spread out when you needed it 😞 P.S. I hope last months book sale went well 🙏 Cwtches coming to you from across the pond 🤗
vulpix, re This “Yes, 5 pairs of black trousers, all the same size, they would fit if I didn't need to walk, talk, sit or breathe whilst wearing them. 3 weeks till we go away, I will have to have a concerted effort to loose a bit more weight. Don't want to have to buy a pair of black trousers!!!” I have every faith that you will be successful 😊 You might have been unlucky with your Premium Bonds but through your hard work & character I would say that you have been ‘lucky’ in life 🥹 This “DSS coming tomorrow to faff about in the sheds with Mr V. Never in the history of sheds has so much tidying taken place and it never actually be tidy.” had me in stitches 🤣
Lovely observations about decluttering Dizzycap 😊 & excellent work on Tuesday getting your list completed 👏 Still enjoying the tales of daxie antics 🥹 Babyface definitely keeps you on your toes 😅
A perfect place to break off as I have finished Tuesday’s cheerleading & it is time to make dinner. See you later 👋 I do hope that everyone has had as good a day as possible 😊 It has rained on & off all day with some heavy showers ☹️

Muddy_Walker - gorgeous dogs. I had a Springer - mad as a hatter.
_Dolly_Rocker_ - more lovely dogs - the markings and colours are super.
My favourite dog is a Golden Retriever - lost ours at 7 years old.
_Dolly_Rocker_ - sorry but the melted croc toe made me laugh.
I was late getting up again - my get up and go is missing.
I did some work on the tie backs and a load of washing.
Wrapped Eb.. and V sales. Popped to SA to do printing. There were donations outside so I got them inside.
I labelled the parcels and went into town - first stop - post office. I did a bit of shopping and posted more parcels at the off licence. Decluttered a bag of donations at the charity shop.
Had to wait ages for a bus then 2 arrived together.
I decided to stay on the bus past my stop and visit the shopping centre. When the bus arrived at the bus garage where drivers change over - the driver getting off pointed out a fault at the front of the bus. So we had to wait while they phoned for an engineer - he strolled out of the bus garage and looked at the problem then strolled back into the garage. We waited until he strolled out again and fixed the problem.
We had just moved off when we stopped - a bus driver had been hit by a cyclist - our driver had seen it in his mirror. After a while we were told to get off the bus and get on the one behind. The injured bus driver had a gashed head and bleeding hand plus broken glasses.
I eventually got home to find Mr F in his office - he didn't really know what he was meant to be doing so I told him to come downstairs for a cup of tea.
We had another toilet episode - he was in the downstairs cloakroom for 1 hour 45 minutes.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
