Helloooooooo
I saw the blood consultant this week…..upshot is I have 2 more months of injections 😳 then he will put me on tablets. And I have been signed off for 2 months - he said I have been through a LOT and need the mental health break. He’s right - I just got with things expecting to be able to carry on as normal and never grieved the old me. So there will be some very slow decluttering coming up which will be hard as it relates to a huge chunk of my life…..
But I think it will be worth it!Take care all and nose boops to Babyface! My 2 don’t let me out of their sight…..⭐️⭐️⭐️🥇🥇🥇 2024 decluttering

Dizzycap - never had Shingles but heard that it is horrid. Please rest up.
Muddy_Walker - Doctors don't sign you off for that long without good cause so please take it easy.
The weather cleared up so I decided to walk round to SA. I wanted to make sure that C didn't throw out leftover stuff that I can use in my Bric a Brac boxes in March. I took a fair amount of stuff up to my storage crates. No idea how much was raised today - there were only a few tables of stuff. The Ukrainians were selling cakes and other national foods.
I now have 2 items finishing on Eb.. tomorrow.
I have had 3 offers on the second sewing machine that I listed - I will let it go to the auction. Lots of people watching it.

DD wanted to play "keep or get rid of" earlier - probably because of the influx of clothes and I got her to try on a bunch of things yesterday to check if they still fitted or not. Anyway, meant enough to fill a very small box, so I got it out of the loft. I also used some of the time waiting for DS at gym earlier to clear down some photos to get that going again.Digital:

We left at 14:02 & had a very good run on Motorways & A roads to the hotel - Grimscote Manor, near Lichfield, arriving @ 17:00. First things first DH filled the kettle & we had a coffee. DH had a shower & I got changed. Time for a bit of cheerleading before we head downstairs.
Dizzycap, talk about being busy & all before 6:00 a.m 🤩 Good luck with the new listings 🍀
Florenceem, good luck with the curtains 🍀 Will you be using your new overlocker now that it is unpacked 😊
QueenJess, having obtained a wardrobe full of clothes for DD, I see that you have already started on reducing the ‘net inflow’ 👏
oceanspirit, I rather doubt anyone else recorded wildlife sightings ………. Unless they saw a rhinoceros or something equally unusual 🤣 I think that you should have visitors everyday so that you can declutter 2 or 3 items on top of your daily decluttering 🙃 I would try that but my house is such a mess that I don’t let anyone in 🤣 I hope you aren’t running out of freezer space 🤞
Left our very nice room @ 18:00
got a drink from the bar & chatted to a couple of people before heading into the restaurant. Six tables of 8 + one of 9. Our organiser had printed name plates with our food order 🥳 Brilliant idea as it had been a couple of months since we made our selections. DH had meatballs, lamb shank with fondant potatoes, beans & carrots followed by chocolate torte. Whilst I had a salmon rose, rib of beef with fondant potatoes, beans & carrots followed by rhubarb crumble & ice cream. The. food was delicious 😋🤤 & whatever anyone had ordered appears to have been just as delicious. Tea & coffee were served & the awards were made. We chatted to a few people & from 22:30 people started leaving. DH & I were in our room & in bed by 23:00. We have had a wonderful evening 😊
I will finish the cheerleading tomorrow. Sleep tight 😴

Good morning allWell, I've slept like a tank and just got up for the loo and a long drink of water with Shingles meds and now decluttering a cup of coffee and having a read through of this page before I head back to bed:-)@ Muddy_Walker - Please take it easy and give yourself time to heal on so many levels. Don't forget you have 2 doggie stalkers watching to make sure that you do@ Florenceem - I'm not sure which is worse? The actual build up to and then the outbreak of Shingles which is very painful or the effects of the medication which makes you feel very unwell and fatigued. At least I don't get distirbed sleep on the antivirals, except for having to set an alarm for every 4.5 hours to take them@ Mrs_Salad_Dodger - That looks like a lovely room with a super awards event thrown in. I really hope you enjoyed the evening and are enjoying yourselves
Nothing like a little weekend pampering
Time for me to head back to bed now as I've decluttered my coffee and feel very tired again , so I must need the rest and sleep. 2 bags of poo taken to library for our new planters, to go along with a load of rotten logs to go in the bottom. 8 bags of topsoil I had squirreled away when some one was having some building work also went in, so the planters are looking ready for the next phase. Oh . nearly forgot, 2 fruit tress donated by a friend were plonked in too ( an apricot and a peach - dwarf varieties) and they look really good where we have put them.
2 black bags of soft toys to the school nursery ( they were DS's and he's long left home). Staff pleased to have them, and some still had the original tags on. Quick poke of nose around the door into the area which was fire damaged whilst I was there - it looks horrendous, and the whole school still smells of smoke. They are anticipating reopening on March 6th - I'm not so sure from what I saw.

Mrs SD, yes the freezer is getting full - it is only little - but we do use what I make on the days I am too tired to cook. Yesterday’s batch was 7 portions and another couple will go in today when I have made the soup.
Managed a short spell in the garden and got rid of more ivy. We are getting down to some really thick stalks and will probably have to use a chemical product to sort them out which I hate doing. Like many on here I am an animal and wildlife lover and eat mainly organic food so it is rare for me to resort to such measures.
Anyway I am hoping that the shrubs the ivy has been growing through will recover and start to grow back.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅17 -
Good morning good people (my grandad used to say that every morning),
The decluttering scores on the door are 20 things for Thursday, 5 for Friday and only 1 thing yesterday as we decided to take ourselves off out in the sunshine unstead of staying in. As the weather is back to it's normal "grey everything" today we will be staying in and I will be tackling the cup cupboard.
Mrs_S_D your evening out sounds lovely and I'm glad that you enjoyed it.
Dizzycap the struggle between rest and mental health is real but try to take it easy. I'm another one who would love to see some photos of your garden.
Muddy_Walker take the time to do things that you enjoy instead of what you think you should be doing.
Dodgy cyber hugs (does anyone remember that emoji from old MSE) to anyone else going through it and take care all of you 😊

Thank you, @Mrs Salad-Dodger, for my two gold stars. I’m really pleased with attacking sunk cost items. Today, after weeding again in the garden, I’m going back to another box of vintage linens. So far only
5 books
total 250-5=245, if I’m correct.Hugs for everyone who would like them and take care everyone. I think we’re more prone to things after a long winter that according to my UK friends and family is dragging along.13
