@Muddy_Walker It took me a long time to get round to really looking at the construction of each stitch. Once I did that I could begin to figure out where to place the next/last stitch. From there I also began to find my own way of doing it; ie where the pattern says make 3 chain as the first stitch and I in fact needed to make 2 as my crochet was loose, - which then evolved again and now I actually make a single crochet and chain 2 as I think it makes a better stitch. I guess what I'm saying is once you feel more confident, experiment and go by what you feel looks right. Apart from that I'm sure there are a lot of people who crochet on this forum and all willing to help.
I hope the multicoloured stomach heals soon - I had those injections after pregnancy, not the most pleasent of things. 💕Aiming for a Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget

I have a week off next week and I’ll be cracking on with the decluttering and things being relocated. Makes such a difference to how I’m feeling about life in general. 🌟🙌🏼🥳
I’m still on the using up train and working through my long term to dos. All slow, but still moving. Added one item today from Buy Nothing; a DVD player. I think ours is playing up as it refuses to play DVDs at times and I’m pretty sure it isn’t the DVDs. I can now check that.Digital:

All best wishes to those of you with the lurgey and other ailments. Hope you are all feeling much better soon. I am in the process of emptying the lounge ready for decorating next week. Have sorted two boxes for cs or carboot, not sure yet and half a black bag to throw out. Went to Costco and brought back fruit boxes to store the breakables. Everywhere is a mess, but can’t be helped. Be nice to have one room freshly decorated. Trouble is it shows up the other rooms and then we are on the merry go round to start decorating them. Oh well here goes😃18

@_Dolly_Rocker_ Sorry to hear that your M's not been well.A few of you with colds about. Wrap up nice and warm, lots of TLC, with meds for symptoms and plenty to drink!@Florenceem - whats an ROD please?@Muddy_Walker- Does it make a difference whether they are English or American crochet videos as American terms are different? I can only do a few stitches of crochet myself but there are obviously some experts on here. In fact there seem to be several different kinds of experts! No decluttering today apart from dealing with the other half of that giant amphibian. Less on my mind but still anxious about whether I've resolved everything yet.I'm laying here on my DM's sofa thinking I'm not going to be able to sleep as she's been repeating words and spelling in her sleep for over an hour now. Sometimes she does this all night. Well, she never made a sound at all last night so I guess I can't complain.....TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.18

Hi,
Very pleased to hear that Mr F is continuing to improve.
Muddy, those pesky injections. xxx I used to find they either sting like billyo or bruise like billyo. You're not moaning, we understand.
Mr SD, someone asked me about the bag. As I was in bed I looked it up online for a photo. 298 Canadian dollars. I nearly fell off my perch. Only about £150 but even so,I don't know what to do now!
dND, my cold is proving tricky to shift. I still sound like my voice is breaking/ squeaking/very deep or non existent. A surprise every time I open my mouth.
My lovely friend from craft club picked up the stitches on the jumper for the neck. Very grateful about that. I have started to sew it up, my least favourite job whilst the footy was on. Great match. What a shocker the other night Liverpool Anne. I am on the sleeves now of a jumper for baby V. I made a jumper for another friends new Grandson but he turned out to be a Dobber! ( as in the big marble compared to all the other marbles)I need to knit another bigger one before I go down South on Sunday as she is going to visit her daughter in London next week on the way to Southampton for a months cruise. Hope you can keep up!
I gave my neighbour some bottles of different cooking oils I will never use.

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Since I last posted I have dealt with my mail, including reading the booklets, writing cheques & filing. Plus 1st load of washing dried & folded up & 2nd load in wm. DH has made soup using up all leftovers & limp vegetables. Cleared a few more programmes from the planner. 2nd load of washing now drying. DH ordered in - pizzas. 2nd load of drying now folded. Wudupa

322 - 324 Kitchen, lr & bedroom detritus - binned

Good morning all
- I seem to be up much earlier this morning
Already decluttered the usual HH bins, sprayed and cleaned the kitchen bin & lid with washing on ready to declutter on the drying rack as its another cold and rainy day here. Made a lovely cup of coffee which I'm really enjoying decluttering while typing and decluttering a whole load of old receipts out of my phone caseBabyface is still snoring her head off so I'll be able to get a few things done before she starts demanding when she wakes upDecided I'm going to wipe over the office and artroom desk and table and declutter any rubbish and put things away in their rightful place and whizz the light hoover around the lounge and kitchen floor whilst making a 2nd cup of coffee. No sooner done, than a whirlwind of daxie energy came thundering down the hallwayBabyface is up has had a run around the garden, pee's, a big breakfast, and is now wrapped up in her thick fleece on her beanbag looking out the window to a night filled garden but she sees and hears absolutely everything and anything
Presently decluttering my second cup of coffee and typing while waiting for the washing to finish so I can put it out and then I'll take babyface for her walk before it starts raining again. Hopefully, all finished by 6am so I can concentrate on spending an hour getting some more decluttered items listed and out of the house pronto, pre-pack an item with daxie help, as always, ready to leave the house at the end of the week before I might go back to bed for another couple of hours restSounds like a great plan
Wishing everyone a wonderful decluttering / resting dayTake care, love and hugs to everyone who needs them.

Yes English and American crocheting terms are different. So are needle sizes.
This is how I started with my 'House of Doom' which has finally turned into a house of simple living and decluttered peaceful pleasure(except for a mega wardrobe which I'm presently working through and decluttering but it will be fully decluttered and have left the house by the end of the year!) You still have to keep on top of things as it's so easy to allow rubbish and non-necessities to creep through the front door
which is why I also participate in the NSD (No Spend Day) monthly challenge

Hi all, very little done yesterday, lr bin and the kitchen bin, a hand cream uu but more from stash to use. I spent some time with ln yesterday as she is not well with a chest infection, had to go to the emergency gp on Sunday as she was so unwell but hadn't even been able to get her gp to answer the phone when she had tried to call them last week 🙄. I have dithered over a dressing gown that has been hanging in my wardrobe for over 6 years, unworn gift. Initially I didn't wear it as it was a bit small for me then yesterday just as I had made up my mind to send it to the cs I tried it on again and as I have lost weight it now fits so it is now even more of a dither, I will have to give myself a talking to 😂. Then last night we visited a friend for tea and 3 lemon possit from the fridge were taken and a bottle of wine from the stash. Pleasant evening chatting and eating but we were home late and I am awake unexpectedly early for no discernable reason so I will probably fall asleep at some point today 😂
@QueenJess I think I am going to adopt your use up system as I found it particularly satisfying to get to the end of that hand cream 😁
@Vulpix total shocker of a football match but we were abysmal so can't really complain 🤔. Hope you start to feel better soon, hugs
Today I have to go through a whole rigamarol to register for a ballot to see if I can get a ticket for the football at Wembley. This I do complain about, loudly, and no doubt there will be lots of sweary swearing going on as it is now all done on line, the system has a tendency to crash at least once at times like these 😩. I have a list of other things to do as well so I am just hoping I am not sat at the computer all day.
Right off to get another cuppa and see what can be done 😁
Hugs to everyone who would like one

213 lr bin
214 hand cream uu

Take care everyone
