Yesterday I spent the day in DH snoodie thing. Not something I've done before. My dressing gown was in the wash. I simply had a thermal long sleeved top on (M&S Christmas pressie but the thick one ) and some linen trousers. No heating on and I was as warm as toast. I need to get myself one I will defo do that again. My dressing gown is very warm (& full length) don't get me wrong as is a similar material but I tend not to get dressed whilst in it.
After the departure of a shoe box x 2, I have 2 more items (cloth badges I've had for over 40 years) moved on with a small financial return and an envelope too from stock. DH wanted me to put them on display in a picture frame. They are only my memories but have gone onto someone else to appreciate them. This person has also asked if I have anymore and I do and am now at the stage of letting them go too. I will let them know of some more being available.
Whilst routing them out in the cupboard of stuff from the back bedroom (to be new kitchen still slow WIP)
I have removed a lovely round tin and hair bands and other bits to be put into a new bag for the CS. I moved round the 3 large button biscuit tins and they are all together in a pile and the sewing tins (3 currently) are also together. I think will swap one over into the bigger one and reduce that pile further. More space in there now.
I have found keep going back through stuff is my way of being able to let stuff go without any pain. I've kept them for a bit. It's slow but is working.
There are some books that need to be moved on.
Have a good week

Eeek.. keep missing the stops on the train 🤣
Walked with DS2 to Drs early ish this morning, bloods duely siphoned, treated him to a pasty from the bakery on way home to perk him up..
Busy week, more Vinty flingage.. 🥳 two items sold within an hour of listing!
Will be going through the box of stuffs shortly to decide what’s not sold in the last month and can now go to charity, determined to keep stuff moving out the door.. Also have brought down from loft a large plastic container to sort through for listing/flinging..
Decluttering an electrical test on the house & having necessary repairs done, so electric is currently off and I’m attempting to use the time being productive doing other things, like tidying up various piles of books 📚🫨
Wanted to say that I’m so glad Mr F is home and getting stronger, @Florenceem, you’ve done wonders with the Decluttering and supporting of not just MrF but everyone here too, it’s appreciated and I hope you keep taking regular time out to watch a DVD or two, it’s more than deserved!@BlueJ94 that’s given me a push to give our fridge a quick flick through.. a clean fridge always makes me feel better!
Was planning on leaving some more jammy flapjack in the TLC yet sadly everyone here has gone n munched it 🫣
So Mini cheesecakes & home-made sausage n chutney rolls will have to do instead.. ☺️"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇19 -
Hi all, sorry for not posting, I have been fighting a cold, not bad enough to keep me in bed but enough to wear me out 😁. Hope those who have had a bad dose are on the mend 😁. I have managed a few things and did use a broken down list to keep me going with lots of sit downs and cups of tea 😂. I have been keeping up with all the posts but my brain is still a bit fuzzy 😁.
@dND I couldn't agree more about having to understand how we ended up having to declutter or we will simply end up back in the same place 😁. I read something that was saying you could declutter your whole house in a weekend! Well it transpired what they meant was somewhere that basically was a bit untidy and unorganised, nothing new and it made me laugh, I 'd like to see the writer tackle my house in a weekend 😂.
Over the past few days I have binned a pair of slippers that were falling apart after going through the washing machine once too often, I have others I can wear 😁, 5 LDFPA plus 3 more loads drying, 2 sessions of ironing. A sort out in my wardrobe and 3 jumpers into the cs bag, bedroom bin, bedroom recycling, bathroom bin, kitchen recycling. I have decluttered my handbag of loads of bits of carp, changed the bed and tidied up the kitchen after OH decided to make some lemons possit to take to a friends house for pudding tomorrow night, for such a simple dish it seems to require a lot of utensils 😂, but it has been put into disposable containers so I am hoping they will not be returned 😂.
Right I have a veggie roast thing cooking for tea and the timer has just pinged so I better go and get that sorted 😁
Hugs to everyone who would like one

all the bird seed and fat balls are out of the garage. They've been there for at least a year and the only ones getting the benefit are some very fat mice. There were about 20 fat balls left and I've just put them in the garden near where all the birds tend to nest - just on the ground so they might be eaten by foxes or slugs or more fat mice. But they are gone. (as in now I don't have to think about them anymore.)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Glanced in the upstairs cupboard and saw the charity box was getting full (mainly DH's stuff), so I packaged it up ready for charity. I have counted the crayons I picked up on Buy Nothing as I was originally going to keep them before I realised we would never get through them all! I did keep the pens/pencils etc I picked up at the same time. Didn't count them for net physcial things out though as they've been in the box for quite a while.Physical:

one big box with a set of 9 BOOKS OUT!!! lent to a friend. Not completely let go of them yet but hoping they do the rounds whilst I decide. They are out of the house so I am counting them
Also 2.bin bags worth of craft supplies taken to club and sorted for group use. Another box sorted ready for car boot sale. I got rid of a bin bags worth of stuff at craft group too but not counting those as they have not left my house. I am still averaging a bin bag full of extra unwanted items leaving the house each week and also have 4 bags worth not counted waiting to go to tip so I am on track pleased with my efforts so far

Some frogs nudged along with OH’s help today. Made a decision on something big - I don’t have space to deal with it right now so the answer is no.
A few niggly admin bits and pieces done as well so tomorrow should be able to get stuck into frog nudging.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅13 -
@moorsviews - I laughed imagining the marmalade going everwhere and Paddington came to mind!@2scratters - Yes, I recognise those feelings when trying to let things go. It can be so hard. I think I need to try and process things in a different way to manage decluttering. I'm so pleased to be here getting some encouragement and support to get better at it. I can't see me doing it at a whirlwind pace like some of the people in video's.Good luck to all my fellow declutterers.I took my DM's wordsearch books, colouring books and pens plus knitting to her home since I don't think she''ll be coming back to stay at my house in the future. She used to have stays with us every other week but now I'm going to her but more often. Today, I did half of the huge amphibian that felt like he was on my back. Tomorrow I plan to deal with the other half if I can.TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.18

- Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
- Concerted effort to sort out sleep patterns - Realistic targets: bed by 2:00 a.m. & up by 10:00 a.m
- Continue dealing with mail & email on a daily basis
- Don’t put it down, put it away + deal with mini tasks as soon as they are noticed e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
- Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ using the acronym - I.R.I.S. (Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off) - One per quarter
- Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Monday: Woke up just before 11:00. Overcast & chilly with a stiff breeze. Forecast high of 5°C & low of 30C although it felt colder 🥶 Another lazy day 😔 although I did clear down a few programmes from the TV Planner - 3 episodes of Guy Martin - Proper Jobs. DH & I had leftovers from the fridge for our lunch - linguine for DH & spaghetti for me. Dinner was cold pork (from yesterday) with mash & baked beans. Wudupa.
311 - 313 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, completed puzzle book - recycled

I quite fancied that proper jobs programme Mrs sd but tbh I find guy quite annoying after about 10 minutes. Are you enjoying them?
