I did the other job on my list yesterday - cleared/tidied and cleaned the top of my sewing machine cabinet.
I then had a relaxing sit down and watched African Queen - so a DVD is leaving the house.
I started to watch Now Voyager but got tired so decided the watch the rest today.
I went to Church - Mr F takes himself to the downstairs cloakroom now so I don't have to rush back home.
After our meal - I watched the end of yesterday's film so another DVD is being decluttered.
I am taking 3 bags of soft plastics out of the house tomorrow when I go to Ald.
My shopping trolley is only half full for the £2 charity shop - I am at the end of the 26 bags.
I am working my way through the DVDs I was given - now watching - Lost Horizon - having a lazy afternoon.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Lots more ivy cut back today. OH has had a tidy up in his room and some paper recycling gone. Some more paper off the reading pile from me and a bundle of pens that I am not going to use put out.
Moved the contents of two drawers around and everything fits a bit better.
OH has offered to help me with some admin frogs tomorrow.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅18 -
It has been a pottering kind of day today - always the best sort I reckon 🙂.Three more sales on eBay, the first of the dinner set items, and one of the kitchen declutter items from yesterday. Also ann item I’ve sold once then couldn’t find and had to cancel! Resold to the original person. All packages packed and labels done, in the car to post away tomorrow so more packaging recycled into new parcels.
Done lots of cooking today, we have had the other super reduced turkey crown from Boxing Day and a homemade jam roly poly that has been in the freezer.Back to work tomorrow but am going to aim to get three things per day either in the charity bag or on eBay next week. That would be 21 items.17 -
Great decluttering work folksFlorenceem - well done with all your decluttering - I think you should get an award xxxIt's good that Mr.F can now get himself to the downstairs cloakroom. At least you're not stuck in the house when you need and want to go out, which can only be good for you xx It's good that you're also having rest after the utter chaos of the past few weeks xxI've been very good today and did rest well for 5 hours all afternoon from 1pm, but not before a manic morning with decluttering HH bins, empying rubbish intot he HH & recycling wheelie bins, hoovering, spraying & cleaning out bins, spraying the kitchen surfaces, sink, draining board, scrubbing the dish rack, decluttering 2 loads of washing and cluttering up the clothes rack, and taking 2 babyfaces for lovely walks when the sun was out and before the rain arrived - They both had a great timeI've now loaded 1 2 large black bin liners full of parcels to declutter off to postie tomorrow which are nicely cluttering up the hallway
I haven't got anything to put in the dolly trolly at the moment so that's safely tucked away in the hallway cupboard, although I'm tempted to have a rifle through the coats in the hallway this evening and see if anything can go. I know I've got a pair of ankle wellies sitting on the shoe tray which I haven't worn for a while, but Sod's Law says as soon as give them to the charity shop, I'll need them!
Edit: No coats to declutter and I decided to keep the ankle wellies as they are the only pair I have should there be very heavy rain.Off to declutter another cup of coffee and I'm hoping to not going to have an early night tonight to catch up on more rest & sleep because I've just finished packing up another load of items ready to declutter tomorrow and I need to relax againWishing everyone a lovely evening & a super decluttering day tomorrow, if you have anything left to declutterLove, prayers and hugs to all - ta-ta for now xxx~ NSD 2025 - NSD July 19/20 (6 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £1634.34 / £2025 (58%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £13,429.74 / £12,000 💯 - Continuing17 -
@Florenceem so glad you are managing to watch some DVDs as you are still doing so much.
@GrannyKate, @Vulpix and others thanks for ongoing support and kitchen stock. I'm also questioning cooking/prep equipement. I think it was Vulpix who passed on le creuset - I'm thinking of doing the same. However, as hoping to go away in a couple of weeks I'm focusing on getting ready and leaving the house ok .
Trying to also sort out frogs and for the last couple of weeks been hoping a notebook where I make notes of calls about frogs would turn up. Been turning the house upside down and then found on a kitchen shelf! At least it turned up but think I'll put that book and other things like that in new to me unit as still not added anything.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. The kids mainly behaved themselves over the weekend and I tried to get a bit of relaxing in as well. We went for a huge roast at the local pub for lunch and I'm now drinking a glass of wine and having a second slice of lemon drizzle cakeA few more bits to report below as well as 3 things in - all from Buy Nothing with 2 in the present drawer for DD's birthday next month and another given to DS. Although I believe I don't buy tons, we do have slightly too much stuff, but not so much that I can't deal with it. This is why I am going down a use up route (especially as some things are consumable stores) and then not rebuying. I have realised that I do sometimes get too much still (including from Buy Nothing), so I am really challenging myself as to whether I really do need something or is there an alternative. I was brought up in the 90's mainly where things were relatively cheap and if something wasn't working well or you "needed" something then you'd get it without a second thought. For example, earlier I did finally rescue the bulbs from the garage, but they were in a flimsy plastic pot with holes on and I didn't have a tray/saucer big enough for underneath it. Instead I did have a slightly smaller pot and tray, so I simply tipped out the bulbs and put them in a slightly smaller pot. I also had another large plant pot and cover, but the plastic pot can be seen over the top of the outer pot and I can't easily water it as the water would run off onto the window sill. I thought about buying a bigger pot, but then solved it by simply removing the plastic pot and planting it directly into the ceramic one.Anyway, enough waffling for today - my cake is calling.1 - paper reused then recycled

Now have a fully charged iPad 🙂 DH had the 2nd half of last night’s pie for his lunch, whilst I finished the hm soup. I have just watched Superman II - 1980 😦
Nice to see you ionafan 👋 Great work on your family tree 👏 The infant school log sounds really interesting - a real slice of history 😊
TC77, lovely post 😊 Stopping wombling was a huge step & has made a big difference 👏
oceanspirit, for some reason using up food supplies is especially gratifying 🤔 Great work with the paper decluttering 👏
Excellent decluttering GrannyKate 👏 2 van loads of stuff gone & at a very reasonable price 😊 It sounds like you now have oodles of space in the garage 😉 & great news that the utility room has enough space to store the garden furniture as well as a freezer & tumble dryer 🥳
Lovely to see you dND 👋 Sorry to hear that you have been so unwell 🤒 & very pleased to hear that you now feel much more yourself 😊 Even though you have been so unwell you have still managed to keep up with not only the day to day decluttering but also made a start on sorting out your garden 👏 Sorry to hear about the extra work needed on the roof ☹️ This “As it's said often on this forum, things build up over years and aren't cleared in a day, no matter what some TV programmes may imply. As with hoarders, you could just skip everything and have a clear house but unless you understand why you are keeping things and why you can't get rid of things you'll be back where you started in no time. Taking time to understand yourself and how you tick is the best way IMO, for me I need to set up systems that work for me, hence the blackboard in the kitchen where I see it many times in the day” is a timely reminder that we each need to find the method of decluttering that works best for us 😊
Great work florianatwobob 👏
vulpix, sorry to hear that you are unwell ☹️ although pleased to hear that Fomo & Fluffy + MrV are taking care of you 😊 Good luck sorting out your bedside drawer 🍀
Excellent decluttering Florenceem 👏 Pleased to hear that your parcel was in the sorting office 😊 Also pleased to hear that the community nurse phoned ahead rather than just turning up 👏 Sorry to hear that you felt unwell Friday night 😔 so I do hope you didn’t overdo it on Saturday or Sunday 🙏
Another page caught up 🙂
