I am so very sorry that I didn't say how fabulous you knitting is soontobeoap.I blame it on the lurgy.
Brie and Queen Jess, I love it when a solution to a problem only costs some thought.
When I moved to this house I was determined to shop from what I already had and not buy much.I am quite happy with how the place looks, I don't bring much in.
TC, I gave the le creuset away because it was too heavy for me with contents. I thought it would be very dangerous filled with hot stuff. I used to love cooking, catering, hosting. I realised that I don't want to do that too much now and gave away most of my kitchen stuff. I thought I had it down to the bones and then I met the Ukranian lady so gave her even more. I have 3 pans, 2 measuring jugs a couple of baking trays, a mixing bowl and not much else.We have a few glasses and plates and mugs. I have stainless steel cooking utensils so I imagine they will see me out.Oh ,I have an ancient slow cooker too and a geriatric hand mixer. I have kept a Denby dinner service because I love it so, but it only sees the light of day at Christmas. If people come now I am in the very lucky position of being able to get a take away or take them out to eat.
Still a bit rough but How lovely to get into clean sheets. Thank you Mr V.
Take care Vx:20 -
Yes I tried to do some gardening but it was so cold. I have really cut down on equipment in kitchen as well as the amount of food. Anything impractical or too heavy has gone - DD and DIL were ruthless when they helped unpack the kitchen boxes. I am trying to ensure everything I have is used and not just taking up space in the cupboards and drawers. It's somehow liberating to know I have what I need and not more - ie 8 tea cloths is more than ample rather than 20+ which I used to have. DGC4 decided to spend the day with me in his PJs - the cat was impressed as he seems to really like the children being here.
245-249 At least 5 admin frogs dealt with - empty inbox again
250 DIL sold a mirror of mine for £10- every little helps - she actually got £15 as they paid extra for her to deliver it (less than a mile from here)
251 Some clothes of DGS4's for charity shop - I think most I have here are too small as he is growing - which is not surprising considering what he eats
252 More items out of house to garage for sale or collection by CS
253 Hose attachment brush taken by DS2
254 A bit of gardening done - some rather jumbled up bulbs planted in some pots and some bits cleared away.
255 Happy with one of my 2 can openers so the other has gone in CS bag.
256 Large round puzzle completed. I had to use table as it wouldn't fit on my puzzle board. Christmas gift from DS1. I will pass to DD's MIL next - I know DD is bringing one up for me from her later this week.
Tomorrow's meeting cancelled so I will have some time once I've done school run. A few more frogs to do.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

@vulpix thank you. The kitchen is definitely an area ro declutter later in the year. Think I used about 10% of the things, partly I would have to give up a fantasy me .... and also when lazy means I have top many dirty pans, and have also destroyed some over the years. Gave a saucepan away a couple of weeks ago. Some things are easier to do.in babysteps but maybe a blitz is better.

A craft trolley, a big carrier bag of resins, four bags of moulds, a bubble clearing machine and a huge bag full of jewellery making supplies all left the house today and brought me some nice cash! A productive and profitable Sunday. Happy me. Have a great week everyone xxSaving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Thanks @Cranky. We had a good nurse turn up who reaslised that DM now has a 2cm hole in her bedsore which she packed and has referred her to a tissue viabilty nurse. Poor DM is clearly uncomfortable so we are giving her some painkillers. We also bought her an air mattress so that she might improve.@Florenceem - Age UK does a podiatry service, very reasonable prices.Decluttered pretty well recently in preparation since my OH booked for a foot operation on Saturday so I've been cleaning too to make sure there are no trip hazards and everything is easier for him, while I'm at my mums. He's now in a cast then in two weeks will go into a boot but no weightbearing for 6-8 weeks. Did a big shop. Made some meals ready for him. Stupidly after giving him his stomach injection, i shut the sharps bucket by accident with only one in there! I'm a bit worried about leaving him at home as he's so wobbly on his crutches but he's promised me he'll go up and down the stairs on his bum so that he doesn't fall down them! But I have to go to my DM's as my DS2 and DS4 are away so only my DS3 with the bad shoulder and I to look after DM. Still working on the giant amphibian......Decluttered 2 mattress covers, nail varnishes, eye make up, old out of date medicines, t-shirts, undies, a tin of candles & holders, pens, old birthday cards.TrialTrying different methods of decluttering..... Random at present but not very organised.17

Lovely post TC77 😊 Hopefully the more you get your current home the way you want the easier it will be to see which pieces of furniture you love & will take with you once you eventually move 🤞 More excellent decluttering of paperwork 👏 Everything crossed that this lot of court papers will finally see an end to the long standing issue with your ex & finances 🤞🙏 Very pleased to hear that DD2 likes her newly decorated room 😊

@daisy_1571 @2Scratters @Nonnadiluca @vulpix - Thank you all for the suggestions regarding treatment of my leather handbags. I’ll have a look at what we already have in for shoes and walking boots and experiment. Also, I might have something from my car care kit for the leather seats. I haven’t heard of that product Nonnadiluca but it does sound useful to have in so I have made a note of it. We have a leather chair and footstool that currently get no care whatsoever!
@Florenceem- well done for your totals and for resting. Your list ending with the cuddly toy reminded me of the Generation Game 😊
@GrannyKate - it’s really sweet that Sox is enjoying the GC. I hope he is providing some comfort to you too.@QueenJess - glad to hear that you had a lovely birthday 🎂
@vulpix - take it easy now that you are up and about.@Wednesday2000 - it’s lovely that all went well for your weekend trip. The afternoon tea sounds delicious!
@sqwiffy - I am so sorry that your mother’s bedsore has developed as they are such difficult and painful things. I hope the treatment starts to help. You have a lot of care for other people to balance - look after yourself too whenever you get those tiny opportunities.I managed to get all the marmalade I made stashed away. Not all the jars have vacuum sealed this time so I hope that they will keep well enough. There are still some Seville oranges left so I will wash and freeze them for later. Meantime, I notice that there are odd marmalade drips around the kitchen and various sticky patches; how do I get it everywhere? More laundry today. It has been so cold that I might even fancy doing some ironing! I need to make more soup too as we have finished our freezer supply and I have vegetables to be used up.18 -

A quick dip in to say hope everyone has a good (or at least better than last?) week, and thank you for keeping up the inspiration and momentum.
I have quietly been finding an item or two every day to relinquish and am up to about 92 items decluttered now. Small progress but progress nonetheless.19 -
Brie - I love old films - Lost Horizon is one of my favourites as it stars Ronald Coleman.
I am going to watch Mrs Miniver next. I have watched all these films before but love them and it is relaxing.
@QueenJess - Belated Happy Birthday.
I had quite a collection of crockery belonging to the SA so I dropped that off this morning.
I took donations to the £2 charity shop then caught a bus. The driver didn't say that he wasn't following the usual route - good job I didn't want one of the stops that he missed out with his detour.
I did my shopping in Ald. - I spent +£17 - just for a few bits - prices are so high.
I decided to walk home as it would have meant going back on myself to get to a bus stop.
I have read the meters - a job Mr F can't manage.
I have a list of jobs for today.
Very cold here.
