Thank you for the welcome, MrsSD.
I have started 2025 as I mean to go on - have done a first sort of all the loose photos (a shoe box full) of my children into separate years. Stage 2 will be adding the contents of 20 space-consuming albums, at the same time decluttering all the landscapes and pictures of people I can't identify. I have only thrown away 3 blurred prints today, and I know I have some duplicates, but the others will be dealt with in stage 3, which is choosing the best/most relevant pictures to keep (any duplicates will be passed on to the relevant child). Stage 4 will consist of putting my final selection into the new archive-quality album, in date order. By breaking down the sorting into manageable steps, I can do a little each day when I'm at home.
I'm another declutterer who recommends Dana K White (remember to put the K in her name, or you'll end up with a martial arts fighter). She posts regular videos and podcasts, and all her books are available here, including audio versions.

I joined the decluttering thread back in the early 1900s, but it didn't work! So this year I would like to try again.
Each week my target is to use up:-
1 item of beauty products that I am not replacing
1 item of stuff from the playroom, which is a dumping ground
1 item of clothes
1 item of food in the kitchen I will not be replacing
Will love to do more, but don't want to set myself up for failure.
Good decluttering everyone!Decluttering target:
Beauty product - 11/52, last item - bubble bath used while I shaved legs, 2 conditioners sachets from used hair dye boxes
Play room - 41/52, last item -
Clothes - 23/52, last item -
Food - 13/52, last item -21 -
Is there room on here for another? If so, I'd like to join. We have so much clutter and the house and garden need so much work that I don't know where to start but start I must and I hope, being in such good company will give me the inspiration and motivation I'm struggling with.2025 DECLUTTERING CAMPAIGN MrsSD. A small amount of decluttering done today. DB1 went through one of the cupboards and found some out of date and/or unwanted items that he’s cleared out and, in preparation for it to go this weekend, I scanned pictures from a photo album that will be going to my aunt. The album is of her wedding, the album was my Nan’s but my aunt only has proofs of the wedding so she will appreciate proper copies of the pictures.
Tomorrow I need to collate some other items promised to my aunt that will be taken over this weekend, I also plan to go through some unwanted magazines so they can go out for recycling. Any other decluttering over and above those two things will be a bonus.23 -
Some great efforts with decluttering folksHaving taken all the Christmas decorations down inside & out on the 30th December, I finally got around to packing them up at 11pm tonight, but with a decluttering plan based upon a local worthy charity shop requesting Christmas decorations! I loaded the car at 11.30pm ready to drop off first thing tomorrow morning and I'll have even more space in the shed now. That's a definate win win for allSold some more of my decluttered stuff today and everything has now been posted tonight, completely filling the RM Quad Locker
. At least I don't have to worry about that in the morning, unless I sell stuff through the night, which sometimes happens. And just as I said that, 2 items sold
Right, I'm off to bed so I can get up early and get some more parcels packed & sent - Toodle-pip for now & keep up the great decluttering efforts~ NSD 2025 - NSD July 19/20 (6 x💯)# Spectos/Royal Mail Monitoring and Posting Panel - Ongoing~ Totally FREE Christmas 2025 - 🎁✉️🏷🎀💐🪪🗒🧺⭐️Completed Challenges 2025:# No.36 Make £2025 in 2025 £1634.34 / £2025 (58%) (3) 💯💯+# No.12 Save £2 a Day 2025 2025: £730/ £730 💯# No.27 Save 1p A Day 2025 £667.95 / £667.95 💯# No.19 52 Week Env Challenge £1378 / £1378 💯# No.34 Save £12k in 2025 £13,429.74 / £12,000 💯 - Continuing21 -
Hi I would love to join in and be part of this .
I need to decluttering as you get older you save things and never use them .
This week starting on my ward robes hopefully hubby will follow my lead.
I am a sucker for a charity shop bargain so will also start buy one throw one out.

I started my first day back at work with a flat tyre on the work van! Luckily I noticed before driving too far and was able to drive back home to get my own pump out of our van! A bit chilly this morning!

I’m back for another year! Didn’t reach my target last year but aiming for 2025 in 2025. Currently have a cold and everyone else in the house is off work / school today so feeling very sorry for myself.
The cat is grumpier though as she’s not allowed out as it’s the vets for her jab and check up at 11am (I booked it so I didn’t have to take her) and she’s miaowing like mad.Declutter 2025 in 2025 0/202521 -
PollyWollyDoodle -as a fellow crafter - I agree - so hard to part with craft items.
queen_vi - hard to do but I conquered my charity shopping habit. Now I can go in and drop off donations and leave without looking for a bargain - feels so good.
Got up to receive an email - nearly £150 in debt on gas - I sent in readings yesterday. I will increase the DD.
Up and done my upkeep jobs in the house - Mr F still to make an appearance - he was really acting strangely last night.
Plan to sort some stuff in my craft room today after tackling the kitchen.
