Monmouth.....Mine is in the post to them. Application form posted on 15/9. I guess I might be too late then.
Me too ….. posted same date …. Think I’ve missed out on that one
Not necessarily. In my experience with postal applications you'll typically get a day or so leeway to take into account postal delays etc so if sent before the account went NLA you should be fine.

Building societies often accept the application even if it was sent a day or so after the account went NLA if everything was dated to before the account went NLA.

Coventry BS First Home Saver Issue 2

It says on the listing on page 1 of this thread that the rate is going down to 4.25% from 7th October. There was a previous reduction to 4.5% on 1st September. The account is still listed as available at 4.5% on the Coventry website. I'm not currently saving on this account but have a sizable balance sitting in the account which will need 60 days notice to withdraw. I've not had any notice of a reduction on 7th October (that I recall). Can anyone confirm the position? TIA
Just re-posting this as it as it my have got lost in today's discussion. Does anyone have this account? I've checked my emails and can't find anything indicating a drop to 4.25% on 7th October and can't find anything on Coventry website. Could this be a mistake?
I can't see anything either.  I note that @Bridlington1 flagged Cumberland as reducing their Home Saver on 7th Oct so perhaps this is a mistake?

Monmouthshire BS Exclusive RS (both app and branch versions) at 7% NLA
That's a nuisance. I was planning a day trip to Chepstow next week to open the branch one! I do have two app ones, though
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Probably won't bother with an application even for YBS - 6% accounts are already being lined up to be culled in the next couple of months to keep MonBS topped up at 7%. Even if it became competitive through other reductions midterm the potential gain would be tiny.

It'll make sense for someone, but not for me.
And YBS are reducing the rates on variable rate accounts in a couple of weeks - I wonder if that includes this one?

I was updating the listings as you typed that, haven't a clue how that got there.

Also noticed I'd forgotten to update the Leek BS listing following it's cut to 4.2% earlier in the month.

    Apologies for the misinformation.

EDIT: Apologies for not responding to your post yesterday @Hattie627, I first spotted it on my dinner break yesterday so didn't have my laptop on me. Must've forgotten to revisit it when I got home.

It's not on the list of accounts detailing the changes/or non-changes on 2 October. I assume they wouldn't have launched it today at 6% variable if it was earmarked for change on 2 October
