    New YBS Regular saver.
Anyone else struggling to set up a standing order for this? . I'm basing the details I put in on what the app indicates for manual bank transfer in but even well over 24 hours on COP fails.

YBS for me can take 2-3 business days before they'll even let me make a payment in anyway after opening an account (as an existing customer) due to checks

It let me pay in instantly linking to Santander from the YBS app but when I then try to set up an s/o from 1/10 onwards COP fails.

I've seen some random COP failures when setting up payments from various sources. Simply retrying later resolves this, so I think sometimes there is just some sort of timeout or error.

On the contrary, I funded this account about 5 minutes after opening and CoP worked.  I don't know if this matters or not, but I used Cahoot for this transaction.

Sorted it. Roll number needed to be the Reference. I was using my own identifier.

I've opened the YBS £50 account purely to keep my loyalty status with YBS, minimal effort so I thought I might as well.  All my YBS accounts mature by the end of this year apart from one maturing early May 2026.
But otherwise will YBS have a Christmas saver  - what do the experts think and what pittance of an interest rate?

  • RE YBS / Yorkshire BS 50 Pound Regular Saver/eSaver at 6%

Despite having many accounts over several years with YBS, I had to go through Mitek today when applying for this account. I 'passed', but apparently YBS say they need to do further checks. (?!)

Does anyone know how long it might take for this element?

Oddly, I can see the new account in the app, but it says there are restrictions on it (I presume I am unable to make a deposit until YBS complete their 'checks')...
