You'd suspect, the interest rate drop, was the same date as that highlighted by the user below?

Quite possibly, but that user was commenting on a different thread about a different product, not a reg saver, which I had not been reading, and the document said "effective from 7th February" and still does, despite that user having contacted Furness BS.

Not just one "user" ...... see posts on this page....
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6534798/the-new-top-easy-access-savings-discussion-area/p176

Furness unfortunately omitted a line that was supposed to say something along the lines of  changes to take effect on 21/02/2025. CS apologised that the date of the pdf looks like it suggested the changes take effect of 7th Feb.
Quite. It was the thread on easy access accounts, not regular savers.

The pdf doesn't "look like it suggested the changes take effect on 7 Feb". It states they do. "Effective from 7th February 2025"
So they were alerted to it and it remains there, incorrect.

In future, I'll be sure to read every thread about something else before making comment on what the thread is actually about.  :/
Agree .... very poorly worded from Furness! Also, agree that at least two forumites have brought it to their attention today, yet it still remains with confusing text!

In times of high activity of falling (or rising!) rates, the two "go-to" threads are undoubtedly this one and the "New top easy access savings discussion area" thread. Of course, there are others of interest!  :)

Mansfield BS to cut their variable rate savings accounts from 7/3/25. No details on which accounts are affected and by how much as of yet.

Leeds BS Home Deposit Saver (Issue 3)  has been launched at 4.9% to replace Issue 2.

Thanks @cricidmuslibale for pointing out that YBS's Christmas 2025 RS remaining at 5% was omitted from my update in the archived thread, this has now been added.

Given the lack of clarity on Furness BS's part regarding the date of interest rate cuts I haven't included their regular savers in my list of rate cuts for now.

Apologies for not posting the list of rate cuts announced so far last night, it's been a busy week for me and I fell asleep whilst compiling the list. I don't start wok till 3pm tomorrow so shall post a list of all rate cuts announced so far no later than dinner time tomorrow, though I'll most likely do it at some point tonight.
Regarding Leeds Home deposit saver, it seems you can open it online, despite the page saying open by branch or post. I think I skipped it last time due to thinking that it was limited to that, but have applied for the lower interest rate one and ready to fund it immediately (although Chase not letting me transfer until the confirmation of payee is shown as active)

Error now corrected. The same error appeared with Issue 2 so this has been corrected. Apologies for the misinformation.

Additionally the first page has been updated to reflect the launch of the Chorley BS Regular Saver (31.01.2026) to replace the previous issue.

    BoS
Has anyone managed to get BoS renew to work, lately?  I know there was  discussion a while ago when others were finding it wouldn't renew with BoS message saying "something's gone wrong", and that's what I'm now getting, though it's worked in the past.  Just wondered if anyone found a way round. I've got Halifax and both Lloyds to renew.
I think that the renew only works if your RS has matured.
I wanted to refresh a Lloyds RS this week that still had 6 months to run. I couldn’t renew it, so I had to empty it, close it via chat and then I opened a new one the following day once the old RS had disappeared from my online banking.
You can renew anytime, although I believe if you've already used a 'renew' for a RS for LLoyds, Halifax or BoS it won't allow you to renew again. I renewed my Lloyds but I can't renew Halifax or BoS because they all part of the same umbrella group. I now have to transfer all proceeds out, close via chat, and then wait for a fresh application window which can be anything from 10 minutes to 24 hours.
My First Direct RS matured on the 4th of Feb but I was able to apply for a new 7% fixed RS 2 days before maturity but it still took 3 days to open due to high demand - there was a warning when I applied that it would take 3-5 days before the new RS would be opened.
renewed both lloyds club monthly and normal monthly and halifax multiple times within a year with no problems. However, always get error message with BOS. Tried on Halifax website and BOS website but no luck.

Never needed to use chat to renew/reopen a regular saver
Then, they've more likely closed the easy renew / close loophole after several have gone for renew....
