They are aware as there is a banner across the top of their homepage.
No account closures permitted until they sort it, apparently.
Oh well, to be expected, I don't blame them, if it help them keep afloat, all good.  I will still be staying with them once it is sorted, it was nice to see it though.

Yes, it's been showing since around 1am this morning but only effects the RS not other accounts.
Born2Save_3 - I've completed the survey  feedback much tothe same effect. I along with you and others suffered the same fate with the MHBS RS, although some fell under the radar.  I ended up only funding 1 of the 2 RS which were left open, hoping that they would enforce their empty threat; twice by letter of closing the now unfunded RS if not funded soon, which they finally did at maturity some 7 months later  :D . I think at that point I decided MHBS had really lost the overall plot of saving and the need for savers, so with no viable MHBS re-investment options, I withdrew the lot. I still have 1 RS being fully funded each month which matures at the end of March, but I'll stop funding it in February as I've got better use for the funds and can't wait for the last MHBD RS to end TBH  :/:|

I hope they only correct the wrong payment on RS accounts that received interest.  My RS Issue 1 had no interest credited, and I think others here have mentioned the same.

I attempted to withdraw and close from my Issue 1 this afternoon after noticing that the rate is dropping to 4.5% later this month, and I need the funds soon. The interest accrued looked reasonable (it shows what is accrued when you confirm closure), and it allowed me to withdraw and close the account. I'll hopefully receive the money later today.

Sounds like a different issue of the RS. Mine is at 6%

I'm taking Issue 1 to be the RS at 4.75% and Issue 2 to be the one at 6%.

Both dropping by 0.25% on 20th Jan.

And where is it written that the rates are dropping on 20th Jan ? This is totally new for me and nothing can be read neither on the Darlington BS website nor on 'our' no chat forum, unless am totally blind or the decision has been taken 5 seconds ago

Can’t find it either. You’d have thought they might hold the RS rates as an apology for their interest and closures suspended blunder.
