I am waiting in for a viewing of the room, also I have an interview for 10hrs work at a local garage, things are looking up. I have done another 1000 words on the book and everywhere is looking good except I could do with washing up. MD said I don't need to worry about every aspect, it is just the general look. However I did swing round the hoover! And I have had a bid for one of my scarves that I put on bay of E! Also there is a miniscule chance that I could get an accounts job, but I might be reaching! Lets see!

Good news I have a lodger coming and soon! I haven't met him but he has good references, the people that viewed were from a local pub that will be paying the rent and he will be working for them. He is due to arrive early
September, he is meant to be very clean. I will soon work out cash projections. Looks to be good, although I don't know who will sign my lodger agreement? the pub or the new lodger is not paying I will research this today, how it works.

I have just started a signature one I hope to complete this time around:-

Another I have not written here is to work on No spend days, sadly not today, but tomorrow maybe. I really want to reach the goal and beyond of 19 days each month.

I know the debt has escalated since I started using the card, I know it is bad and I really need to reign it in fast, I deliberately have started this today because I am a little worried at the amount of debt and not having a job, it is crazy how quickly when one thing adds on and another before you know you owe £2K and don't have a job! Luckily it is on 0% debt card or at least will be very soon.

I have made positive steps to get this down, I have an interview this week for garage worker, gosh I hope I get it! I wouldn't see a lot of money but it will help to clear the debt along with the new lodger. It all helps. Actually if I am wishing for things I would really like to get the accounts job that may or may not be in the offing...lets see.

I wondered where I spent it all...here it is:-

I spent 60% on the room, had I been sensible it would have just been this. 12% On snacks, had I made my groceries a bit more interesting I may not have spent so much on snacks. SFD & MD they paid this however I kept the cash in my bank account so this is like saying cash which is 8% of the total. Software expense was the update to security plus some monthly subs.

The whole point was to get the lodgers room ready, this will come back to me in rent over the course of a couple of months. My food spends have escalated lately. I am really trying to turn a corner here, make payments as opposed to spends. I have done the last of the spending today so now I need to straighten out.XX

I know this does not seem like a wise move however I have just turned down the lodger, 1) I would like to meet him first and 2) I picked up a bad vibe when the people who did visit were here. So that is thatXX

I was just going to say no way would I have a lodger that I had not met.  I dident realise you had spent so much on the room.  You really do need to reign in the spending.

Yes all my thoughts exactly, Because I did the transfer and I have turned down the lodger I am only using cash and well I need all that I am hoping that is enough to stop the madness. Therefore I am trying to promise to myself to reign it in considerably, a lot of the money spent on the room was/ is for my room to make it more comfortable/ habitable/ to my standard. I could return some of the things or cancel them, I may just do that, however everything I have coming is for a purpose and will lift me. I know my situation is precarious, however I still have MD & SFD as back ups, I know I shouldn't rely on them especially as their cash flow has been hit lately what with me and repairs to the house, but they are here still thankfully.

I am wondering how to action now, what can I do? I have a few things on Ebay to sell and more to add, I have an interview at a garage, I have applied to many jobs. I know I have been so long out of a job, I am still optimistic as far fetched as that sounds, I'll keep going for now, something is bound to come around sooner or laterXX

Quick question is the £20 a mobile top up? If so how long does that last you? And you sound just like my daughter, not much on meals but she likes a "snacky snack" she sabotaged my diet this afternoon by giving me a small bar of dark chocolate. ( Dr orderss to give up carbs as bloods show diabetic) I saw you on the slimming world thread, might we see you back?

Thanks @Chieveley for dropping by. There was £10 for each phone, I don't really need two phones but I like to have a back up, plus the top up will last quite some time, also the back up phone is for the business I started and have not got anywhere with! (I think I pay £10 every 3-6 months to keep it going)

I really don't think I can do a diet, but I am trying my best to curb my diet, the snacks were a bit excessive, I am starting afresh to try and reign it in. Sometimes it is like I have no choice to be any other then out of control, I really don't like it, it might be my psychology, mental health, general lack of job. However I feel now the summer is almost over and I have a little more control back in my life.

My bloods show diabtetes as well, I am sat here with a bowl of fruit trying to be better behaved, at least my sugar levels are under control. Good luck for your attempts at avoiding diabetes. Enjoy the rest of the weekXX

You need to think about what would happen if you didn’t have people to bail you out. Do you really need all the things for the room? I think we all have standards but we sometimes have to lower them if we can’t afford them. Please take this in spirit in which it is meant. 🤗
