Hopefully you won't be snowed in and can make it to your new job!

I bought DD poster holders off of t*mu they are about 3 cm too short 🤣 but nothing too noticeable and also they were around half the price of elsewhere. So bargain I think ☺️

I am in a lot of pain, back pain, this happens occasionally. I have taken quite a few tablets so far and I am still in pain, I need to move plenty and do my back exercises etc as well which I will do soon. However as a pick me up today is a spendy day, I decided against getting the socks out of wish list but I did buy the entremet moulds (£15.90), another excel book  (£14.96) (the one I ordered said one thing on the web I am sure then it changed into something else - not suitable (not sure why this happened or if I am just crazy?)) Plus as a treat I'll explain my reasoning in a minute I bought the bag for £69.

My reasoning is that it is going to take too much motivation to make the meals today that I need for the beggining of the week, therefore I would have reverted to take out. However now I have spent take out money the only option is to cook the meals!! It does sound slightly strange and any excuse to buy what the heart wants but there you go.

So therefore I need a broken down list of everything that I am going to do today and cross it off:-

    1) Wash up from yesterday.

    2) steam cauliflower.

    3) Make cheese sauce for cauliflower.

    4) Assemble cauliflower cheese.

    5) Rest for a bit. (there will probably be rests between each element anyhow).

    6) Prepare potatoes for par boiling.

    7) Boil potatoes.

    8) Prepare carrots and parnsips.

    8.5) Wash up

    9) cook sunday roast.

    10) part way through put in stuffing balls and cauliflower cheese.

    11) put in yorkshire puds.

    12) Prepare gravy

    13) dish up three plates.

    14) eat

    15) wash up

    16) Prepare tomorrows lunch

    17) prepare what I need for work, paper pens, passport etc.

    18) prepare alarm

I think that will do for now, it is a big break down because each task is going to be painful (Except eating !! 😂😂😂😂) so it will be achievement to succeed, and i'll remind myself of what I have bought as a reward!!

    All the best.

Not very MSE, but I tell you what, some of that spend has been wiped out, because I managed to get a refund for something that was a while back that I bought only used it recently and it doesn't do what it says it does, which is non stick egg poacher, all the egg stuck like glue and I have soaked them and use my most abrasive non abrasive scrubber, I got £25.98 refund and it was really easy, I could just plonk the poacher in the bin and wait for the refunded money to appear. I heart amaz.on.

I am so far £120 over budget, however I was expecting some rent money which I am not to expect now and I have cut down where I can, The shop today was a mistake, I know, everything will be so much tighter without the rent money. I am going to try and reign it in for the rest of the week, potentially award myself another one of those delicious take outs at the end of the week - i'll try and build up another 4 more no spend days mon-thur, then either friday or Saturday have a take out, it does sound crazy, but if I have something that I really want at the end of the week, I may just add another 4 no spend days. Also my shop will be over budget as I am going to bulk buy toothpaste while it is on offer, I really like not thinking about toothpaste for months and just getting a tube from the drawer, the effect will be that I add £60 at the weekend which will make it £180 over budget.

It looks if the trend does go this way that I won't be able to make an OP at the end of the month...however I should still be able to pay off the credit card which is more then I would normally pay in a month. I have time to reach my goals it is just the first month, I need to start with a carrot and a stick until I am settled in work...I have all my meals for the week, there is no need to buy any extras...that will be the real mission...just stick to what I have.

I wonder how I will fair this week, I think I should be quite busy and raring to go, and up for some work challenges.

I have just re-read what I wrote, and I really want to make an OP...I hope I can stick to no take out and I am going to rejig my shop again to get it back down to £50 puhhh, I hate being sensible!! (and I love it!!).

Well I am all ready to go and apparently nowhere to go to!! I have been called by the boss to say to not come in today, I knew it, the world did not want me to start today, first the weather then the back, then the oven now the weather again. I was actually going to go in with all these elements at play now I won't, the world did not want me to go in today.

So now project for the day, is to do plenty of back exercises and to keep moving throughout, I will put together a list of things to do (chores) that could be attended to today. I will eat my packed lunch later and prepare another for tomorrow! Mission get work ready, sort back out and get the place back in tip top shape.

    To do:-

    1) Back exercises - look up some new ones too.

    2) Wash up

    3) Back exercises

    4) Hoover

    5) Back exercises.

    6) Look over flat and search for things to do.

    7) Do Bins

    8) Rest and relax.

I just have the bins to do now...I have also been to an appointment which was then cancelled (incidently I had forgotton about it until the last minute) and I have arranged an appointment for today something which is bothering me (not my back) I have cancelled ordering the bag so when that refund comes in I will be only £50 Over budget on 06/01/2025, prolific seems a bit quiet, it would have been nice to make up the money there. Anyhow £150 OP is better then a slap in the face!! However there is a long way to go before the end of the month so £150 would seem quite ambitious at this stage. But the thought stops me from going to the garage. I have £2.38 pocket money, I am tempted to buy mayo to make a nice egg mayo sandwich I made my egg sandwiches with quark a healthier alternative but it doesn't taste brilliant, but I do want to reman healthy todays sandwiches I put salt in also, so perhaps they will be better - I will see. Anyhow, Not sure what else I am going to do today. I think half mayo and half quark would be good, the eggs weren't great this could be a little thing I could do today, Also I could make jam tarts as I have jam and the ingredients to make pastry, Although tbh I think I like the idea of not bothering, but we will see!
