Love the plans, you need to consider to post some photos here! I'm sure the lemon meringue turned out lush (I'd eat it )!

Where do you take your recipes from? I feel in love with a slow cooker and going through some cooking books but always keen to explore other options.

Looking forward to hear how the baking turned out tomorrow! Have a fab and quiet evening, rest for the busy tomorrow so it's a leg up day on Wed!  :)
Thank you red lipstick, I may very well put some photos up. I got the recipe from mary berry on BBC food (internet search). If I was to do it again, 1) I would complete the lemon as per the instructions and 2) I would put less fat in the pastry as it was hard to roll out and 3) I always double the quantity of meringue, so there is several inches to cut through!

I am telling you it was a disaster!

right breakfast then tackle the list I put together last night.

    Thank you @beanielou

Tomorrows list  Todays List - House recovery and baking part 2:-

    1) Sort kitchen, put away and wash up until a perfect kitchen appears.

    2) prepare and make the dough for the croissants and put in the fridge over night.

    3) put washing on

    4) clean bathroom

    5) Change bed linen

    6) grease tin and line with baking paper.

    7) make raspberry cake - remember to put oven on first before doing anything and leave for 10 mins!

    8) Clean floors there is lemon meringue syrup all over them.

    9) Wash up.

IF I get through this gigantic list with energy I will be surprised! If I get through this list of desires I will also be surprised!! But lets see what tomorrow brings!  I may not do any more baking, I feel really drained this morning it has been a slow start, I have dishes soaking but I doubt I am going to do anything but housework today, as I need to do this when the potential lodger appears to view the room.

IF when I have done the housework element of the list I feel up to baking I will but considering right now I just want to put my feet up I highly doubt I am fit for anything!! 😒😒😒

I have made the croissant dough but I fear it will not work since it no longer like dough more something someone spat out!! I think I could release a cookery book about how not to bake and the disasters that are possible in the kitchen!! Well it is in the fridge resting I dare say it needs to lead the rest of its life in the bin, but I will see what can be made of it tomorrow, I am sure it is another disaster waiting to happen, at least I have back up croissants and bucks fizz!

Thank you so much both, I am here right now sipping the bucks fizz! Perhaps actually it was well timed in the end as I have been out this morning to MDs I did a few errands and wished her and SFD Happy New Year (I also watched one of the films there, very enjoyable), I am very happy. I hope for the same for you bothXXXX

Okay so potential new lodger is coming tomorrow eak, I have also caused a bit of a mess the croissants that I made and thought were bin worthy are proving and don't look horrid, but we will see. I need a list to work from for the preparedness of the potential new lodger coming tomorrow. So therefore to do:-

    1) Clean kitchen again!!

    2) tidy up.

    3) Change bed linen.

    4) Clean bathroom.

    5) Do Bins

    6) review the flat carefully for flaws look over and if considered presentable great (Then work on office tidy up, paperwork and such forth). If there is still more to do create a new list.

p.s I am doing this slightly under the influence of bucks fizz..be warned!! 😂😂😂

sometime later.... I am almost through the list, the items in the kitchen are soaking, there is a bit more to do in the kitchen,. but everywhere else is satisfactory, I think. I have decided to have baking as my new hobby, I am going to practice next making etremets, as I was quite impressed with the ones I saw made on the telly. I am soo excited about it but MD is sick of hearing about it already, you would think it would beat the usual conversation!! Anyhow the things I will need to make it will be purchased at the end of the month if I still have enough money left after paying the credit card.

I am expecting if the lodger arrives to have between £60-300 left over lolly if I am quite restricted through the month. I am hoping I will have enough left over for my basket in Amazon £65.46 (Etremets moulds) and enough for a new handbag (£69) which I have my eye on (not in the sale, but in the basket waiting!) (you never know I may get a deal on it!) I got my food processor down from £400 to £100 by leaving it in the basket for ages!! Anyhow the plan is to first aim to get all the no spend days under my belt (all 19 is my goal), practice making the constituents in the run up to the end of the month, then if I have enough money left over after paying off the credit card, get my list of desires, I'll add a desire too £60.27 for many socks (discounted) just the way I like them!!

In summary work very hard and practice the etremet and then utilise extra cash at the end of the month as a reward for staying on track, receiving a few brucey bonuses. (If I am successfull and have the max £300 I will be able to get all three choice items £194.73, that does seem like a big spend, but I would have paid off a massive credit card bill and I want to reward myself heavily for achiveing my first goal of paying off the credit card plus sticking to no spends if I am successfull that is.

I really want this to work, don't let the money lead me, i'll lead the money in the direction I want to go.

sometime later - I have just updated my shop to include all the meals lunches etc, and extras to practice making my own flavoured strawberry jelly, part of the etremet all within budget!!

sometime later... I did the office paperwork on top of everything else and I am pleased with the end result, everything looks orderly now! Except I need to clean kitchen cuboard front doors tomorrow for last bit of looking nice, I hope everything will look nice, they are a bit floured and grimy generally not all just a few. I may do it tonight actually then I can have a lie in knowing there isn't much left to do!! Done the cupboards now, yay! Little victory dance, I have achieved everything I wanted to accomplish right now. Yippeee!

I am pleased with yesterday, there are few tasks to do this morning in preparation for the viewing such as:-

    1) Put all washing away

    2) Put washing on.

    3) put away washed up plates etc.

    4) Mini wash up

    5) Clean sink area thoroughly.

Then If I have time before the viewing I would like to start on Excel tasks, I have a book I am going to read and complete a ta da list, also make some notes that I can follow when I start the new job!

Also I want to have a no spend day to add today, so I want a thoughful day.
