What do they do? are they not any good? do you mean data mine? Thank you for the heads up.

I was a bit wary about them when they came on the net but I thought they would be like amazon, but cheaper!

Okay so that idea is fritzed, okay i'll wait until the end of the month as planned before, as I have looked at a fair few places and amazon is now the best place!

Okay New plan of action for tomorrow:-

    0) Prolific my butt get payout to maximise cash for today.

    1) Cash in Scratch cards.

    2) Search charity shops for excel book/ Tin/ moulds (unlikely to find this but I will try you never know).

    3) Go to libraray for replace, renew and bring back.

    4) Maybe buy eggs I have some other ingredients to use up for a cake (raspberries).

    5) Transfer whats left cash wise to bank.

    6) Make cake and clean up.

    7) read and relax and eat cake!!

    8) review the day.

I am looking forward to tomorrow now. Goodnight all.

Hi Beanielou, I have been thinking about what you said, they can only gleam certain information form this, I don't think there is much harm in data mining...correct me if I am wrong. But it is a technique used by companies to see what trends are etc. This does not bother me.

Okay so I have been out and about This morning, I have done the grocery shop for MD and SFD, I also was offered a cake but then MD changed her mind and agreed to pay me for a cake when I go back home...I didn't use this money for a cake!! (I received £3.10) I cashed in the £14 from scratch cards, then I also spent £37.81 out of my budget of £40 for fuel leaving £2.19 in total that leaves £19.29 free money!! I transferred only £2.96 from the account to spending leaving a rounded balance in the account and I have spent £2.83 on an excel book on E.Bay and £6.00 on a new handbag from CS which I am quite surprised but I really like. So of the list of desires I can cross off two items already and for a fraction of the price!

I have decided unless @beanielou comes back with a good arguement for not using T.emu then I will use them as £28 saving is quite a bit of money that could be diverted elsewhere.

I currently have £10.32 left over lolly...however this is earmarked to combine with prolific funds for T.emu and entremet moulds!

On the bad news front I don't have a lodger, but there were other interested parties so I have contacted one of them, we shall see. I'll have to rejig my money as I thought I was going to get £400, however on the good news front I did get payment for job from November in the end just today actually - after I pestered them!!

Having the place to myself is not the end of the world, but I could have really done with the money...nevermind! It will take time to find someone as I am quite sure I would like a monday to friday person!

right now I am going to rejig finances and see what I can come up with.

Okay so I have rejigged finances and there is no fun money for the most part. I am on £30 petrol a week and £50 groceries per week (Groceries were £60). This is just for January so that I can pay off the credit card in one go. But I am up for the challenge. There is absolutely no wiggle room, I had put in a surplus before and there won't be a shop for list of desires at the end of the month like I had orginally planned, however I have ticked two things from the list already (Bag and excel book). I also need to cash in the prolific cash to the tune of £10 to add to funds in order to fulfil my challenge. I have that overall, but not all is ready to cash in.

Looking less fun and more challenge now, you never know I may get someone come back about the room, at any time!

I now need to see what is possible for the rest of the time on my contract, without a lodger! So i'll do that next and maybe stick to £50 for grocery shopping potentially.

Life is certainly looking a little less peachy now! at least everything I want is still going to be I think.... achievable, we will see.

I have had only good experiences with Tem& shopping on electricals  but I do understand @beanielou hasnt so it is luck of the drawer. Also I have not bought from them in over a year.

I am enjoying reading re your cake adventures, it makes  me want to get GF baking
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks for your thoughts @beanielou and @LadyWithAPlan I think I might try them but I can't just yet as I don't have the funds. I have stupidly bought a take away last night, I do this when there is worry of little cash I go a bit crazy, anyhow I am reighning it in again today and I will try to get back on track. On the up side I did enjoy the take out! (Burger meal!). I can probably get away with it is this time...but not again.

I need to pop out this morning as soon as my groceries arrive, so I may help SFD and MD and see if they need anything while the roads are clear. I realise I may not be starting work on Monday like I hoped anyhow lets see - I did contact my new work place yesterday and they said they hadn't got the laptop ready yet, so I will need to attend on Monday, but I can tell you now if we are snowed in I am not making a move!

Things are looking a little more positive thanks to MD - I have managed to reclaim the No spend day for yesterday as MD paid for fuel as I have been going back and forth with groceries etc..therefore adding the fuel money and spare budgeted money plus refund yesterday the take out is paid for...as fuel money was accounted for already. Yay, Bravo!! Therefore with today I am up to 4/19 No spend days.

Today I need to do a few things to get ready for the week ahead:-

    1) Make lunch & eat

    2) Make cake

    3) Prepare eggs for sandwiches for the week

    4) prepare veg for tomorrows roast and potatoes also.

    5) clean the kitchen all over.

    6) Clean fridge.

    7) read, eat cake and relax!!
