It is thank you. I hadn't thought of WI, I will look into this, I used to be a girl guide etc, so I would likely fit in ( I would hope?!) I also like the FB idea thank you.XXdawnybabes said:That’s a lovely message.
have you looked at local groups ? My WI is a ‘young’ group, it’s hard making friends as you get older, you just need to find your tribe.A local lady to me set up a FB group to meet friends and it’s now got about 400 members that you can dip,in an out of.0 -
I really like the idea of the WI group TBH so I will look into this. I am sure there is a local WI? Also I have tried and tested most groups locally. When I have work I don't mind working from home plus my team leader regularly calls, but I do get your point.MFWannabe said:

I am on £1218.51/ £600 which is 203% utilised, I am on 15/12 No spend days, there is 3 days left of the month. I have £2000/£3500 EF which is 57% of the way there, aiming to add to that this month. Today is Tuesday I am aiming for 15 and the cat emoji no spend days today which I now have see below!
Today has been difficult, quite lonely I was hoping for a conversation with MD but she is just so tired all the time, and the lodger is spending all his time with other people, no time for me. I don't know how to get better connections in this world maybe it is just me against the world, sometimes it feels like it. I don't have any like minded people in my life I wanted to change that, but I am unsure how tbh. I don't want to spend time in a pub, I tried to arrange to spend time with my niece but she has no time for me, although she is taking me to the hospital (for an appt. coming up), which I am thankful for. But I don't know how to meet people I have tried lots of things locally. Anyhow I will keep plodding and keep trying. XXAre there any local groups you could join that do any of those? It’s hard to make new friends but can be doneIs working from home good for you? Be honest with yourself, do you feel better when you go into the office?Stop seeing lodger asa potential friend, they are just a lodger and it is a business arrangement
It is a small flat really so we have to be freindly otherwise it would not work, he is friendly enough and it works so I shouldn't complain, plus he said he would need my flat for quite a while!0 -

I am on £1218.51/ £600 which is 203% utilised, I am on 15/12 No spend days, there is 2 days left of the month and therefore 2 days left until pay day!. I have £2000/£3500 EF which is 57% of the way there, aiming to add to that this month. I have looked into when the next WI meeting is, it is once a month, I am planning on going to the next one, I am hopeful to make a friend there or two, feeling hopeful. Another work from home day, with little work but for the time being I still have a job, and I am not worried at the moment, but this could change? Wishing you have a good day allXX0

Today will be spendy I wanted to apologise to the lodger about the letter I wrote in haste (asking him to leave) , and he said he is up for takeout so we are going later this evening to pick up something tasty!! It will be good to have company while I eat for a change. Totally plutonic, he has a lass.
Today has strangely been good, now I am using chatgpt for help with the SOP writing we have really enjoyed it together me and team leader. The lady team leader said she was enjoying it as well. I knocked out quite a few today, need my rest for tomorrows run though, as it got a bit too much towards the end of the day.
Overall a good dayXX0
