Pay off all your debts by Christmas 2026! #143 -
Checking in with my first payment of 2025.
I've paid off £170 off my credit cards so far, but with some returns of purchases I've made the total is £511.83.
I took a good hard look at some things I bought in the sales, and some bits I bought before Christmas for myself, and decided I really don't need them, or I can buy things cheper elsewhere so they were returned. So my total this evening is £511.83/£3000

I've paid nearly £300 more off, using a gift. Now £13286. It's so different to a year ago when the total was nearly three times higher.
I've got a decent wage on the 25th, did a lot of extra hours.
Feb 25 is the wage I'm working for now, lots of Christmas bank holiday pay in there plus extra hours. A pay award has been agreed, which will be backdated to last April. I'm mentally baking the already earned money into calculations. I might even be down to somewhere in the six thousands at end Feb...but maths was never my strong point so I'll wait and see!
An elderly relative is unwell - the crisis hit last night. Her and her husband need urgent support and respite. This means alterations to our house (they will pay). But it also means an awful lot of cleaning sorting and decorating, organising for me to do, and I need to deep clean their house too. On top of working about 65 hours a week. I'm very very tired already and feeling a bit daunted, but none of this is optional. There isn't anyone else.About 35k March 24

My turn to check in 😊
All of my regular debt repayments have now gone out. This just leaves the issue of getting the car through MOT - fairly sure that's going to cost a few quid, so no overpayments until then, but will check back when an overpayment is made.#5 £742.15/£12,883.76..... 5.8% Cleared.Debt @ LBM 01/11/24 - £14,161.59Debt current - £10,845.80
