    Yet you've used transfers rather than pay ins?
    That's what I do - Vantage1 -> Vantage2 -> VantageX -> Reward1 -> Reward2 -> RewardX.  Has worked fine since I opened the accounts.

    Also, when you do a transfer in online banking the confirmation screen shows the destination account with a link to make that the 'active' account, so clicking on that takes you direct to the next account in the sequence ready to make the next transfer (i.e. no need to go back to 'my accounts' or find the account in the dropdown list).

    This is why it can be done in so little time.

    I thought it had to be from a different bank, but maybe I saw that in a switch term rather than for rewards. Thanks for the info, this will make my monthly admin a bit simpler in future!

    I have not received my cinema tickets yet this month, they usually arrive around 10th of the month. Has anyone else received theirs?

    Well, that quotation I posted was from the Halifax's website.
    It is not the first time that Halifax ignores its own rules !
    I'll be keeping one Reward Account as
    a) it receives FPIs of at least £1500 each month, and,
    b) it keeps my Halifax Reward Bonus Savers alive.

    For all LBG accounts, that I am aware of, 'pay in' includes 'transfer in', which makes perfect sense to me, you're paying in to that particular account, just happens you're paying in from another of your accounts at the same bank. I've been doing it since before the Reward account existed.

    Am I right in thinking that post October we only need to cycle £1500 through the account, we don't need the £500 debit card transaction to keep fee free?

    Yes. The £500 debit card payment each month was a way to earn £5 reward.

    I have never been attracted by the Halifax Bonus Savers. Their current rate is a miserable 3.05% and you only get this if you make less than 4 withdrawals a year. There are plenty of better paying accounts without withdrawal restrictions.

    I will keep my Reward accounts going for the foreseeable, as I still need them for Yougov.

    Sorry are you saying that Sept will be the last £500 debit card payment or do we need to do it for Oct?
    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.
