    The ones that I've seen where that are asking for Fit Notes following Managed Migration are cases of couples who both have health Issues limiting their capabilities.
    It happens because in ESA there is only one named claimant and their partner, so there is only one LCW/LCWRA award to migrate automatically to UC.
    That means that the named ESA claimant has their LCW/LCWRA migrated automatically but the 'partner' is expected to look for work, or if they also have Limited Capability to make their own application for Limited Capability in UC, meaning Fit Notes, UC50, and a WCA for that person.
    (We saw the same sort of thing with Working Tax Credits if you recall, after migratation to UC a non-working partner was expected to look for work, unless they has a young child, or were a carer, or applied for Limited Capability).

    I think a lot of the people became carers looking after their spouses. I think it was an article on DNS that mentioned the rise in carers had tripled in an 18-month period.
