I think a lot of employers take people on a temporary contract to see how they work out and if they prove to be unsuitable its easy to lay them off. I will keep my fingers crossed.Sunshine_girl2 said:Glad to hear DH has got a job , albeit temporary for the moment.beanielou said:Great news on OH's job. Hopefully it will all work out. I'm ready for the weekend for sure!

Happy Friday! I'm very glad it's the weekend. It will be weird having DH home later, I've got into my little routines on a Friday. I was on dog walking duty this morning as he left at 5.30. Little miss was due in school by 8 and there was a mad panic when I couldn't find my car keys. Luckily I found the spare so we made it. I've had a good hunt round and couldn't find them, until I remembered that when I came home yesterday, I'd left the kids at relatives, but bought home all their school bags and coats etc. I was desperate for the loo so dumped everything in the hallway. I found my keys behind the telephone table thankfully.
I had my shopping delivered yesterday, and I was a bit annoyed to find out that the berries I ordered were all in a rubbish condition. The raspberries were mostly mouldy, the strawberries all bruised and soggy and the blueberries a number of them were off as well. I managed to salvage enough for my breakfast thankfully. I don't very often have problems, but its annoying when it happens and I don't notice at the door.
Not much planned for today, just a tidy round and chill."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -

Thank you. I normally do send the photos in but didn't bother today. If it happens again I will.dawnybabes said:Fantastic news about DH new job.

I've had a fairly productive morning, catching up on a few jobs I've been putting off for ages. I've even gone out in the garden and done some weeding. It's a lovely warm sunny day out there."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

So pleased to catch up and read your DH has a new job already! Whether he stays or not, I hope it works out to his advantage.
Your weight loss is good news too.
Re your mouldy fruit. I paid for a veggie box. The carrots were old and I had a baked sweet potato this evening and that was old too. Disappointing when food we pay for is not up to standard! Moan over...
Hope the sun continues to shine where you are.
