The main info is here - don't forget to make sure that any pension deductions have actually been received by the pension company, and check that there are agreed records for his legal start date, normal salary and any holiday he has used over the last twelve months (regardless of any company set holiday year).  I would draft a letter confirming his understanding and see if you can get a director to sign it.

If it is the Prudent people then they appear to have had problems recording contributions for a few years now, including public sector AVCs for a while.  ETA, that said they did our transfer to one of the 'fast transfer' people very quickly, but we did it after they had magically 'found' his allegedly missing contributions.

It's Now.  Absolutely terrible.  Just looked at trustpilot and they have 75% 1 star reviews!  Even knowing that most people only review when they've got something particularly good or bad to say, I've never seen anything like that for a supposedly 'trusted' company.    We've tried to get in touch with them so many times but never had a response. I prefer this stuff to be done in writing so there is a paper trail.  I keep track of the expected balance based on contributions and update it with the annual statement so I'll have a rough idea of value when we do the transfer.  But given that they've never queried the expected retirement date which is set before DH is even 55, that says a lot (and that is what we've been trying to rectify for years).

Good luck to DH for a new job and getting the money he's owed and the pension transferred out.

Sorry work is tough. You have a lot on your plant. Huge congrats on being shortlisted for an award. Hope the ceremony goes well.

I had a pension with them and they are not good. However, I got there in the end. I hope you manage to sort things out.
