I too am exceptionally good at growing weeds and very little else 😂
In my garden nothing grows in the beds, but all the cracks between the pavers, slabs and anywhere else where plants 'shouldn't' be growing are absolutely crammed"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Happy Easter everyone! Hope your days are full of chocolate or whatever goodies you prefer.
I braved it into town yesterday and was partially successful. My glasses have been fixed!! I also have my optician's prescription! I also booked the kids in for their check up but I'm going to have to phone up and check when it is. I asked for it to be written down and they said they'd text it, but they haven't. I know the time, but I'm not sure of the date as he mentioned two.
I had limited success on getting my outfit which is a bit annoying. I did manage to get a top, but not the trousers which was the more important bit. Not a single pair of smart trousers kept instore, can only buy them online. It's annoying as the trousers are where I have more trouble getting a good fit. I did manage to get two pairs of trainers (buy one get one half price) both of which will be ok for wearing. I didn't really need to buy two, but it was better value than one pair from the branded store, and my current ones are starting to hurt my feet.
I came home and have ordered a selection of trousers and will have to send back any I don't find suitable. I hate doing that as it's a faff and so wasteful but needs must! I stuck it all on my CC which also isn't ideal.
DH took the kids to the cinema yesterday so I had some peace in the afternoon which was nice!
Not much planned today apart from a quick visit to relatives. Tomorrow annoyingly I'll need to go and find little miss some new school shoes. Her current ones which she's only had a while have come apart from the sole. I don't think we can get away with glueing it. I'll just get something to hopefully last til the summer holidays, and next year I'm going back to branded. We thought we'd try cheaper ones this year, but she's gone through 3-4 pairs whereas the branded ones have mostly lasted the year in the past.
2 parcels packed and posted this morning.

I totally resonate on the school shoes! My two boys are in secondary school and seem to need about two pairs every half term… I reckon the branded shoes are definitely worth it from experience - they do tend to last long enough to make it worth it. Although even then I reckon it is about 3 pairs a year each!2
