Just caught up on the last few weeks, you’ve had a lot going on with DHs redundancy, awards ceremonies and unnecessary meetings. I’m glad most of what has been going on has settled, it’s great that DH has found a role so soon (the best role I ever had was temp, made perm and I loved it, only left as there was another better opp elsewhere. As already been suggested, a lot of companies now take on temp staff to assess capability, it’s easier and cheaper to let someone who go who isn’t up to the role - I’m very sure from what you’ve said of DH that he is going to be amazing in the role). Well done on the award nomination, despite the outcome it sounds like you had a great time in London.Well done on your healthy eating, I agree health is wealth re the costs. The only thing I would mention, that has helped me lose weight previously, is ensuring you’re eating enough and including lots of protein. The only thing I can say about unnecessary meeting… annoying! I’m in the process of reviewing our recurring meetings and also the format of existing management reviews as so much time is wasted so I can totally sympathise. As always, amazing progress with your PADsMortgage (MFD 04/2053) (Jan 25) £238,983.71. DH is happy to be working, but not enamoured with the job. I've said he doesn't have to stay there, but I think he's thinking it's 'good enough' for now.
I've had a couple of less good days with the healthy eating, and I think it's because I tried 0% yoghurt. I didn't find it anywhere near as satisfying (or nice!) and so I grazed all both days. That didn't happen when I had the full fat yoghurt, so I'm going back on that tomorrow. I'm definitely eating enough and I have been feeling much better eating better, so I do want to get back to it tomorrow."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Happy Thursday! Another weekend starts here. I actually logged off at lunchtime as I was in an external meeting this afternoon so that was nice. Gosh the meeting was soooo boring though, it was definitely not a good use of my time. But it meant I was home in time to book little miss into a arts/crafts afterschool club for next half term. These always go super quickly and she often misses out, so she is very pleased.
I'm in the middle of parents evening for little jwil, and it's lovely hearing all the positive comments, and hear how he's doing. He never tells me anything! He had a great report too, so that's lovely as well. It's a shock to the system compared to Primary school though, so many teachers!
I have loads of stuff I want to do this weekend, but also have the urge to go out and enjoy the sunshine so decisions will have to be made.
Right, my next appointment is due so better get myself organised."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee7 -

Good news about little jwil’s reports 🙂
Re DH not particularly enjoying his new job, I hated mine when I first started and was going to ask the temp agency to move me elsewhere after the 3 months was up. It somehow grew on me and I accepted the permanent role I’m still in 26 years later.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2 -

That's good about your job, hopefully similar will happen with DH."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -

Extra PAD today from a survey payout. I've also requested a little cashback so will pad that when it arrives.
I've had a productive morning so far, all the beds stripped and first lot of bedding done and out. I've also walked the dog, and catching up on some admin. I've made a start on the kitchen too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee6 -
