and before you say it - No i am not jealous in the least all i want in a car is something reliable to get from A to B that you can park anywhere without worrying that it will get stolen
But not everyone is in debt and as such if someone wants to spend X on Y product they should be able to and not be lynched because they have the money to spend,
Isnt the reason we buy car insurance "Incase" something happens if it gets stolen it gets stolen thats why you get insurance.
"There is nothing wrong with flying concord if you can afford it" the idea isnt to live as if you are perminantly skint the idea is to free up your money for you to use / save / invest / spend as you wish and in this case it would seem the Op wants a very nice car.
Admitadly to the op he should have gone on some car sites first before posting here but it seems that many people now assume that everyone on the site is in debt and everyone should only buy asda smart price beans regardless of there tastes / prefferance / income. If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

why is the OP's question tactless? as it is in the Motoring section
This forum has a membership in the 100's of 1000's and there are plenty of people here from every walk of life and every financial position. Debt is only one aspect of this site, so, is it also tactless to post amounts saved in the savings forum or stating you have maxxed out your ISA etc? I think not0 -

Because OP should have gone to moneysquanderingexpert.com :money:0 -
It would appear that approx 20 posts entered last night on this thread have dissapeared overnight
Wonder where they went ?
Have asked MSE to look into it !0 -

I wasn't being bitter/jealous. You'll realise that if you read my previous post. I also did give a suggestion, even though being a Skoda it didn't meet OP's requirements. My point is this is a money saving site, the question is how to blow it. I'm happy for OP to blow £40k on a car, and get the best value for money from that £40k! Was just adding a little support to the comment that asking how to blow £40k on a car on a money saving site is a little tactless, not saying I agree with it 100%.0 -
