Because the signs were not prominent.
    As above.

No , seems standard to me, usually within a month or two
  • Thanks Gr1pr, looks like it will be a quick call as I will not compromise as per the steps recommended on the main thread.

Agreed, 5 minute call, no agreement

I suppose they can do 6 calls per hour, much faster than the courts having a hearing

I suggest that you change your thread title to something more suitable
  • DCB Legal called me today to tell me the client would be open to settling outside of court. I politely refused. They told me this could not be discussed in court.

We advise people not to talk to them directly  on the phone, only via the Mediation service 3rd party,  next month

Their phone call is standard in all cases,  not just you

If they don't discontinue, which they usually do,  the judge will decide who owes who and by how much,  which the claimant pays for with the extra hearing fee

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I had the mediation call and did not accept the offer and advised I wanted to continue to court etc.

The remediation individual felt like she was scaremongering a bit. She mention to find Legal advice and touched on the other party having a case which surprised me.

Complain about it to the mediation service,  they are supposed to concentrate on achieving a settlement only, not ruminate about the case, nor should they be making suggestions either

The claimants paperwork already warned you in writing about obtaining legal advice
