NSD#7
Did a free Pilates session & Norwegian. On the way to work, dropped a big bag of clothes off for the CS & posted my RM survey items.
Work was s bit explosive, but not with the ones I was with at the time! Dropped sewing off on the way home.
Applied for a passport for DS2, then after tea, 4 of us had a family film night. Had a soak in the bath & managed to keep my eyes open long enough to finish my book.
Grateful for achieving bits & pieces, family time, nice wintery storiesUse it up, wear it out

Well done on the NSDs and decluttering everyone!!! keep going!!!
I have had a busy couple of days with work. Also found out my Spanish speaking exam has been brought forward as they've had to split the written and oral parts over two days. I am ready though, bar nerves on the day.
I am going to try for NSD 7 today. I should be able to do it. Yesterday wasn't one as I bought some items from a cosmetic company's friends and family day, got some bargains but probably wasn't exactly necessary....
I'm in a pretty good mood! looking forward to the exam being over and being able to focus on other things. Have a great day turtles xxxStudent loan £5655

@f0xh0les how do you cook your chard? I have lots in the garden. I usually use it in lieu of spinach in spanakopitta (Greek filo spinach and feta pie which I am sure I will have spelled incorrectly) but any different ideas would be great.Had another eb*y sale which will be another item of useless (to me) junk out of the house. I will post it tomorrow when I have to go into town for work anyway. In the meantime I must find a small box suitable for posting it in.Should be NSD #5 for me today, as I can't think of anything I need to be spending on!I need to find fish out of the freezer to make a fish pie, clean the bathroom and the middle floor of the house generally, plant some small succulents that DD2 gave me yesterday and phone DD1. I am sure there is more.8

Just steamed and buttered I'm afraid. I love chard, spinach, cabbage, greens, Brussels tops, cauliflower leaves, Brussels sprouts - love it all, and it fills up the plate.
You can chuck it in a stir-fry to bulk it out, in a curry as spinach (saag) replacement, or in a sweetcorn and butter bean chowder, or Mac n cheese. It combines really well with anything with a white/cream/cheese sauce ( or roast potatoes)

On Sunday I took 10 large storage jars to the cs, yesterday I took 3 larger items. Small spends on food but using lots from the freezer. Mountains of washing up (the bother of baling out the washing up bowl is my main limiting factor). Lots of washing out on the line (mostly getting wet) but have brought dresses indoors and hung them up to dry.
Lots of medicinal and toiletry items being used to alleviate various symptoms, including pads soaked in optrex on my eyes. Think I need to strap up my left ankle (ankle and knee are very weak - hope I can get my trainers on today).
Happy tenth birthday to my right hip.
Struggling with getting the photos for Scot Power. Niece didn't turn up on Monday as arranged. Phoned her today and it went to voice mail. Phoned DS2 (last resort - it would be a serious inconvenience to him). He was on his way back from the Lake District and going into work this afternoon. He has work for the next 2 days and gigs in the evenings but could do Friday if the situation is not resolved. He suggested saying they are 'harrassing ' me (I do feel very pressured and I'm really not well) - he says they will back off if I say the magic word.
Lots to be grateful for and still shuffling towards my declutter goals, more large items to go out when I've finished scrubbing them. More arrangements to do now I've got credit on my phone - another saga.

Resisted all the sparkly spending temptations of the city today and hit NSD #5. I was in the office in town, took homemade soup for lunch, and took a free banana from the office fruit box. Didn't spend a single penny (apart from my train fare, but I know that doesn't count for an NSD).
During lunch, I went for a stroll to the city library to pick up the final book in a series we've been reading with DS this year. I’ve also got another book waiting for us at our local library – part of a Sproutmas series of kids' books. We read the first one last year, so I’m looking forward to starting the next one.
Bit gutted that no surveys have popped up for me the last few days, and I’m only 40p away from a cashout! Would love those extra few pennies for a trip out this weekend with my friend.
Overall, feeling grateful today for: bumping into another parent from DS’s school during my lunchtime walk and having a chat; managing to bag a no-spend day; getting a free banana and tasty homemade lentil soup (I’d have paid money for it – just saying! But I didn't!
).

ditty1234 said:I left my wallet at home today, so managed NDS5. It is also empty the freezer week, as both I and ds2 are pretty much out of money. It feels a bit embarrassing, but it is a fact, so it is basically going to be a quiet one :-)
Today I am grateful for an early night and that my B'day flowers are still looking good.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #8212 -
Evening peeps. Nsd#10 for me today. Took a freezer dive meal to work for lunch today. Must say, I would have preferred a homemade soup but had ran out. Checked banks today and made sure all bills had been paid for the month.Super grateful for a fantastic colleague today who keeps my spirits up at work throughout the week. She is retiring soon and will be sorely missed. Also grateful for a 10 minute stroll to clear my thoughts and top up my vitamin d.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #829
