Helloooo. Everyone sounds like they are having a lovely Friday. Lots of calming days and gym days. I have had an unexpected nsd as usually on a Friday I meet someone for lunch or a coffee but today I had too much to do so spent time catching up instead so I’m now on nsd#7.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #826

Had a much better day today than yesterday.Grateful that DS is well again, I got through a lot of work things, and for getting my lazy Rs back up to the health club to a yoga class followed by a jacuzzi and steam room… why do I find it so hard to motivate myself to do the things that are good for me?!NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸5 -
I think I'm going to take a short break. I just opened my laptop and my eyes (which had been okay until then) immediately started to hurt. For a few days, a week if possible *there will be some essentials I have to do (maybe I can do something with the screen brightness - Ds3 has commented on that before)
Keep plodding11 -

Caught up a bit. It's mostly been sitting down stuff - mainly admin things. But they all desperately needed doing, so I'm not disappointed. More frustrated that they took so long.
BANK SWITCHES
Nothing done yet. I’m considering opening a basic current A/c before closing the expensive one. Better get a wiggle on!
Bills A/c switch date 15/11.
INTERNET SWITCH
Nothing done yet.
MOBILE SWITCH
Exploring options – still…
NO to NO! - EVENTS
Nothing new.
DECLUTTERING THE PHYSICAL SPACE:
- 1 bag of recycling
- Another container of ‘stuff’ decluttered
- Contacted local group to see if they could use a lot of packets of seeds! (Now need to sort them…)
CLOTHING & BEDDING
- Bedding folded
- Clothing hung
ADMIN & FINANCES:
- Budget/categories for my Banking software revised.
- Car park at airport booked
- Spreadsheet for Gas/Electricity’s completed
- Bank A/c reconciled - a loooong way behind...
ALLOTMENT
Hopefully make a start today

Decluttering isn't going toooo well, have had no interest on what I've put on V1nted. Will drop the prices and reevaluate. I was woken early this morning by the dog barking, she only seems to do this on non-working days when we can lie in
but it was good as it got me out of bed and I'd got loads of studying done by 9:30. I then skipped for 20 mins in the garden, helped housemate mark some exams and then we cooked lunch together. I watched the rest of a film I'd started last night. We are off to town for a piano concert tonight. Hoping it will be an NSD as the tickets are already paid for.
Grateful for being able to say "no" to going to the farmers market this morning as I was finishing off studying (then wondered if I said no because I really didn't want to go or because I'm supposed to be saying no and doing my own thing?!) - One of the problems I find with being a reformed people pleaser is that when you try to please yourself you can't distinguish your own wants from those of others -or is this just me??
grateful for enjoying cooking and for the cosy fire we lit this morning.Student loan £5655

Hello, turtles!
Saturday is never a “no-spend” day for me, as the grocery delivery arrives, and I inevitably end up popping to the local shop for something I forgot to order. Today it was tikka powder!
I had a good sleep last night and woke up feeling quite lively and cheery, so I got a load of washing on, mopped the upstairs floors, and messaged nearly every cousin I have in every corner of the world to check in. One of them just had a baby this week with his wife, so it was lovely to have a video call—I got to chat with him, see the little one, and introduce my cousin to DS for the first time… we have not spoke/seen each other for over 10 years!
In the afternoon, DS, and I headed up to the health club and had a splash around in the pool.
Today, I’m grateful for a burst of energy and positivity, chats with my cousins, quality time with OH and DS, and that amazing (wish I could bottle it up) sense that… all is well.
I do wish I knew exactly what in my brain chemistry made me feel this way!

Still on NSD #4, as I bought a Christmas present yesterday, and took my soon to be 11 grand daughter out charity shopping and to C*sta and Gr*ggs this morning. We just had a drink in C*sta while we were waiting for pizza to become available in Gr*ggs (not till 11 for some reason), while she told me all about what she was doing at school, and showed me the 'new' way of doing long division on one of their paper napkins
We just bought a few craft items in the charity shops, and a pizza slice in Gr*ggs for GD along with a sausage roll for GS who had decided to stay behind and help grandad in his workshop
Their Mum is a college lecturer who had to staff an open morning, and their Dad fixes lorries on Saturdays, I am reliably informed
Anyway, a good time was had by all, and not much spent. I also got lots of steps in, as the dog wanted a route march early on before the kids turned up, and then GD and I walked into town. Probably near enough 4 miles altogether, so no wonder my poor old legs ache a bit! Nothing for the fit young things amongst us I know, but I am 71
OH still has a cold / man flu, or at least the cough left over from it.Did a rough meal plan for the coming week. The shopping list will be quite small this week.DD brought us some bacon that she had had made by the butcher (she took some pigs to slaughter a few weeks ago), so gammon steaks are on the meal plan.I made mushroom soup and celery soup to use up elderly vegetables. Also a pear crumble with the last of the pears from our tree.Tonight's dinner is chilli made a few days ago and stored in the coldest part of the fridge.Grateful today for time spent today with my grand daughter. I looked after her one or two days a week up till she went to school, and she seems to have grown up so quickly.7 -
Spent three hours in the garden getting some time critical jobs done (dahlia lifting) and more patio clearing. Also said No! to wasting plants because their bed isn’t ready and popped them somewhere else! 😉
NSD 👏😊
