Good luck with the interviews @KajiKita. Ooh, a new carpet @beanielou! What colour have you chosen? You'll be cosy in your new cardigan & new carpet under foot 😊
NSD4
More organised this morning! Norwegian done, then chopped lots of veg to make a stir-fry for my dinners today & tomorrow. DH had used the last of the mushrooms up last night, so it even had parsnips & sprout slices in it 😂 it tasted good though! Had letters to post en route to work, but the internet was slow, trying to log into the app, so felt s little stressed.
Work went well. Had a lady observing us working with a pupil this afternoon. She observed me working with them & then the useless one. Gave feedback at the end of the day, as did the Head teacher. I could tell some of it was aimed more at my co-worker 😉 A nice afternoon, so went for a walk before I went he. It was nice to see the lights on the boats coming in to the pier. Did spot a yellow front door with fairy lights round it, looked very pretty!
Pinned a lady into a jumpsuit after tea, came home & unpicked then replaced 2 coat zips. Watched TV & did a few rows of knitting.
Grateful for the observations feedback (maybe things will improve 🤞), knitting with my pastel rainbow wool, fairy lights & selling another of DS2's thingsUse it up, wear it out

I am having a lovely No-Vember so far. I have been getting paid to watch singers and bands and magicians all day. Bliss!!
I would have done it for free, but will take the money (and the expenses) so I am on NSD3.
Today is back to reality 😭. My house is a tip. Will schedule a meeting with Henry III (my H00ver)and the dust for tomorrow.
Hugs and hot chocolate for all the poorlies.

A couple of small wins. I was desperate to do something about the kitchen floor - it was already dirty and the spills and me treading soil in on my wellies every time I went outside didn't help (I mislaid a wellie for a short while and walking across in my bare feet was seriously gross).
I told myself I wouldn't be able to finish the job but I picked up a bottle of cleaner that wouldn't spray (nozzle was broken off) so I unscrewed it, tipped it on the floor and used my rubber bristled broom to spread/ scrub it as far as I could, prioritising near the sink and pathways from there to the back door and into the front room (where I walk the most). I then left it to dry on its own. Lots more to do but its better than it was and the area near the sink is less of a disaster area so I can restart the washing up conveyor belt (powered by me).
I also tackled the frog of phoning Scot Power who are bombarding me with increasingly hostile demands for payment when I've phoned with meter readings and subsequently sent photos of the meters. It's not fixed (an additional complication is that the photos of meters taken on October 4th are not only lower than their estimated reads from February, but lower than the 'leaving' readings sent by the tenant last December. I'm getting a call back next Wednesday but before then they want new photos of both readings plus the registration numbers of the meters and a photo of the yellow label on the side of the gas meter.
I spent money again, buying 'treats' which I don't deserve and a plain baked potato from the community shop, so still on 5 SFDs (unless I spend today). I have enough washing for another load but haven't got the last lot on the line yet. To be fair, I had to hold onto the washing line to negotiate my way up and down the yard yesterday. Still using up things from the freezer (finished the frozen mash with yet another tin of baked beans - the veggie meatballs were devoid of any flavour and unpleasant).
Using up included 2 products from the bathroom (+ 2 earlier in the week) which now have replacements from stores, one outside and one (maybe two) in the kitchen and 2 foam pan scrubs and using the antiseptic wipes in the bathroom. That was another tip from the chronic illness woman - proximity is everything. The wipes are on the sink top (less tidy but a reminder to wipe a bit every time I use the bathroom). She said one of the areas where minimalism and dealing with chronic fatigue might clash is needing cleaning products in several rooms, close to where they will be used. Similarly anyone confined to bed with need all the essentials - glasses, pills, water, lotion, hair brush etc - close to hand.
I feel brighter but the cough is worse so that will limit activity - when I start coughing and am struggling to breathe, I will take a break. Will also try to plan ahead with today's meals so I don't get to the wobbly' shaky stagy, too unstable to stand cooking (even if it's just toast) before I think about it. DS3 also took 4 tins f veg soup (from mum's stash) and 4 x 2 l bottle's of Beloved's lemonade upstairs. The lemonade bottles were rolling around on the floor and causing a bottle neck in the front room (might try for the 6 pack of water today).
Grateful for the meter reading man from Tuesday (shocked when I walked back into the front room once yesterday and really saw the full horror of it), the Scot Power employees who did his best, useful bits by DS3 (he cut a 5' length off the rag bale this morning, when he went across the room to feed the chinchillas)10 -
Still on NSD #4 as OH took the dog to be groomed today. Much needed haircut! I am feeling better today, so went to work, and had no need or opportunity to spend further. I took a small tupperware with a few crackers, grapes and small pieces of cheese for lunch. Not much else done apart from a bit of tidying first thing, as 6 hours on my feet is enough (I am old!!)Work again tomorrow, but I need to go to the dentist first. My appointment is at 8 am in another town
so I will need to get a move on in the morning!

Woken up before 5am by DS2, & didn't get back to sleep properly afterwards. Set my alarm for a bit later than usual, just in case! Was pleased I'd made today's dinner yesterday, so one less thing to do.
My work day went fine, though had to assist the useless one. Maybe that should be 'take over', but 2 others had to step in later in the day too. Shared my concerns with the head teacher at the end of the day, & she assured me that useless will be spoken to. Subtlety is having no effect so far!
Went for a walk with work bestie afterwards, had a good rant & set the world to rights. Did a sewing job after tea.
Grateful for my toe starting to get better, action finally being taken at work, a walk after workUse it up, wear it out

NSD 2. Go me!
Had a much better day today than yesterday.Grateful that DS is well again, I got through a lot of work things, and for getting my lazy Rs back up to the health club to a yoga class followed by a jacuzzi and steam room… why do I find it so hard to motivate myself to do the things that are good for me?!NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸8 -
Today was a spendy day so still on NSD #3. Bought petrol, got my car cleaned, had blood test, picked up library books and dropped off some electrical and batteries and did a couple of financial/paperwork frogs.
Am thankful for going away tomorrow and seeing my friends, getting some frogs off my plate this week and for getting some library books which I’m looking forward to reading.
Doubt I’ll be back on here for a couple of days while I’m away so sending hugs and love to all who need it and wishing everyone a lovely weekend xx7 -
Put all the recipe books back on the shelf. They were on the floor and making me feel cluttered and stressed. Will try again at the weekend when I have more time for ‘me’ stuff.
First stage interview this afternoon which I am prepping for.Going to do a food plan for next week for ‘shrinking’ meals so I don’t overspend / waste lots. The c0-0p savings account I opened so I have visibility of the balance of our new mortgage has been set up so I will log into that and get that set up 😊
