Bluegreen you are right, you have started and couple be a few more lbs lighter before Christmas

I saw a friend today, she used to come SW with me but stopped coming start of the year, i knew she had put weight on as have seen her through the year, but today she said if i come back sat i could have lost nearly st before Xmas, but bet she doesn't come, she has put over 3 st on since she last came.

That's why i go each week even though i am in target since 2017 as i know i would gain.

I had actually forgotten it is Dec1st on Sunday and my sisters birthday 🙈 good job she is away from tomorrow but i'll get the card in the post first thing 😁

Well done on your loss @Bluegreen143. 3lbs in 6 days is excellent! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

It's a great idea to plan ahead for the weekend. Fruit is a good option for taking to the children's parties. Satsumas travel well. If you did want a starter with your Sunday lunch, prawn cocktail is a good choice but without the bread which is inevitably just brown or sourdough or granary rather than wholemeal.

I agree with @bubbs that it's best to just have what you want when you're eating out and then move on. The other thing we always agree on is that it's important to enjoy your syns. There's nothing worse than being served up something that's mediocre and you know it's full of syns as well.

How did the biryani work out @joedenise? Would you recommend it?🤔 Enjoy your weekend break, hope the new battery works well.

I stayed on plan yesterday until the evening when we went out for the first of our Christmas celebrations. Lots of syns but an excellent meal with plenty of fresh vegetables and turkey.

The best news about yesterday is that I went to WI and lost 2lbs. That took me to 0.5lbs below target range. My lovely consultant said go and put your shoes and jumper back on and weigh again. I did that and picked up my purse too and that added 3lbs on the scales! 🤣 So I don't need to go to WI again until January 23rd which means I can relax a bit over the next few weeks and I'm 6.5lbs below the top of range so I've plenty of leeway. 👍🏼

I've had a SW breakfast (fry up) this morning, probably a JP for lunch but tonight we're going out for dinner again. This is for DD2's birthday not a Christmas dinner so I'm hoping there'll be some sort of fish or seafood special available on the menu as I prefer that to meat.

Have had a good day but couldn’t get my usual half chicken as it was sold out so ended up with fish and chips - chips were nice but the batter was inedible (good thing!) so at least I didn’t end up eating it!  Hopefully tomorrow’s lunch will be better.

Not had a brilliant SW week and went way over syns but somehow managed to lose 0.5lb!

    Today’s food:

    B - breakfast hash
    L - fish and chips
D - HM faggots, mash, veg

    HEA milk
    HEB none
    Syns faggots 1, G&Ts

Are you meant to set a range for your target rather than just one number? I hadn’t seen that but it makes sense!

Lovely to have 6.5lb leeway over the holidays before being over target, would be fab to be in that position next year!

I had a snack plate of 30g cheddar, a pear and some raspberries before the soft play party and am pleased to report I resisted cake offered not once but twice!!

    Today

    B - skyr & blueberries/raspberries/banana (1 syn for maple syrup)

L - smoked salmon on 2 small wholemeal toast slices (HEB) and salad (rocket/cucumber/red onion) - 1 syn for lightest Philly

    S - 30g cheddar, a pear and raspberries (HEA)

D - beef stir fry with broccoli, mushroom, pepper, onion and rice - 1.5 syn for cornflour, 1 for honey

Comfortable room for a couple of vodka & diet cokes!! (Measured vodka).

Edit to add - total syns 4.5. But I expect to have 2x vodka & Diet Coke so total daily syns 10.5.

Blue green no, you get 3lb either way, so say your target is 10st 3, you can be as high as 10st 6 or as low as 10st, go out your bubble and you have to pay. You get 1 weeks grace to get back in your bubble. But you have to hit target before you get the leway .

I am the bottom of my target, longs i don't gain tomorrow 🤣

  • Ahhh that makes sense!!

My target is 9st 2 just now - though that takes me to the very top of healthy BMI (ie a BMI of exactly 25) so maybe I’ll want to set a new target go a bit below it eventually. But first things first and atm I would frankly be delighted to weigh 10st 2, which I haven’t since before I had Bambi, never mind 9st 2!

I am very small, only 5ft, which sadly means that any excess weight at all really shows on me so even though I’m “only” 2 st overweight it’s very obvious. My husband is probably a stone or so overweight in terms of BMI but as he’s 6 foot 4, you really can’t tell bar a little softness in the tummy area, but no beer belly or double chins or anything. It’s so unfair as he doesn’t eat half as healthily as me!!
