Just watched the news @bubbs and there were pictures of what I think was a park near you. I feel so sorry for the poor people being evacuated and their homes in a filthy mess. All I've got to moan about is some dust and temporary cooking arrangements. 🤔

    Morning all 😁

Thanks Beanie and Maman, yes Maman that's them , all over the news, it's def breached alot of them this this time 😫😫
All seems calm this morning, the water is moving fast so will hopefully start to drop soon but it's the filthy sludge mess it leaves behind.
Not sure if the rd out the front is open yet

Afternoon all, hope things are calmer in your area now @bubbs.  The caravan park looked awful - you have to feel for all those affected.  An awful mess to clean up.  Hopefully the road in front is open today.

Had my hair cut this morning, next one arranged for early January before my holiday.  Also been shopping and spent another fortune!  Everything just seems to cost so much - just pick up a few things in the SM and £20 gone!  Still at least the freezer is nearly full now.

DH just needs to wash off the curing mix from the salmon side before drying it off with kitchen roll and then leaving it on a rack in the fridge overnight and then smoking it tomorrow.  Really looking forward to tasting it once it's done.

Going to take my car in for service and MOT later this afternoon and will pick it up tomorrow.  Hopefully it won't need to have anything done.

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions - HEA2; HEB; S
    L - mushroom omelette, chips - P; S; F
    D - sweet and sour chicken, rice - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but who knows!

    Have a good day everyone.

Denise , no there not, it's horrendous, my friend is stuck upstairs in the hotel as the ground floor is flooded, the car park, local business park, the garage, the Chinese , the chip shop. The rd is still closed.

Think alot of people have lost there vans this time 😩

There was 180 tonnes of water PER SECOND coming through 😱😱

That's an horrific amount of water!  Another storm coming isn't going to help either. Stay safe @bubbs.

    Today’s roundup!

    Breakfast
Strawberry overnight oats topped with banana - happily turned out delicious!

    🍓 S - strawberries
    🥛 HEA x0.5 - 100ml whole milk
    🌾 HEB x1 - 40g porridge oats
    🍫 Syn x1 - maple syrup

    Lunch
Feta, tomato and pea pasta salad - also sooooo much more delicious than the leftover soup would have been 🙈

    🍅 S - tomatoes, lemon juice
    🫒 Syn x3.5 - 8 olives, 1tsp olive oil

    Snack (not pictured)
🍉 S - couple of slices of melon

    Dinner
Air fryer chicken, a huge salad, new potatoes

🥬 S - lettuce, rocket, carrot, radish, red cabbage, red onion, cucumber, lemon juice, cherry tomatoes
🫒 Syn x3 - 1 tsp olive oil, 1 tbsp lighter than light mayo

    🍫 Total Syns - 7.5
    🚶‍♀️ Total steps - 7,300
    🤸🏻‍♀️ Active minutes - 12

Not a very active day as I was in the office and too busy with back-to-back calls to go for a lunchtime walk. Then we went to the park after school but I was chatting to some mum pals so didn’t do loops round the playground as I’d intended. By the time I might have been free in the evening it was very dark 🙄. I should really start doing short exercise videos if I can’t get a good walk in…

You're doing really well @Bluegreen143. When's your WI day? 🤔

I am going to go to WI on Thursday @joedenise. It'll be good to know I can relax over Christmas with plenty of time to rein back if I need to.

I know you love going to the Company Shop @bubbs but stay safe. Are the people on the neighbouring site able to get insurance? 🤔

Plumbers didn't arrive today, held up on previous job. Unfortunately, there's such a shortage of good trades they're all incredibly busy. ☹️ We got all the stuff from IKEA today but can't use the saucepans on the hob yet as they're starting the floor tomorrow! 🤣

    Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), salad and pickles (S)
D- gammon (P), potato hash with spring onions and mushrooms (F, S), green stuff and peas (F, S)
    Syns - mustard 1
