Good healthy day today - went for a walk in a park while Monkey was at his karate class, as it wasn’t close enough to home to go home in between.Today’s meals:
B - Porridge with apple & pear
S - apple, pear
HEA - 200ml whole milk / 40g porridge oats
Syn - 1tsp brown sugar, 1
L - Tuna tomato spaghetti & carrot sticks
S - chopped tomatoes, onion, carrot, garlic
F - tuna, spaghetti, chicken stock, sweetcorn
D - Citrus honey chicken thighs with new potatoes and salad
S - lettuce, carrot, cherry tomato, red onion, spring onion, garlic, ginger, lemon
F - chicken thighs, new potatoes, soy sauce
Syn - 2/3 tbsp honey, 1.5 / 1 tsp olive oil, 2 / 1/3 tsp wholegrain mustard & 1/3 tsp maple syrup, rounded up as 1 together
The dinner was a recipe from the Slimming World app and it was really lovely! Only change I made was adding ginger as it seemed that it would go well with the other flavours (honey, lemon, soy and garlic). Would definitely make again and it’s a quick easy one. It’s called “Citrus chicken with garlic and honey” if anyone wants to search for it on the app.I served with a salad as didn’t have any speed vegetables for cooking but it would be good with green beans and broccoli. Most of my syns for the meal were from making a salad dressing but it was still good at 4.5 for the meal.I don’t expect to eat again today, I’m not one for snacking in the evenings. If I am overcome with hunger I have grapes washed & cut up in the fridge or I could have 30g cheddar as I’ve not used one HEA today. I think I’ll be fine though!

I've not managed to post this weekend but stayed on plan including my usual weekend wine syns. 😁
I'll definitely look up that recipe @Bluegreen143. I do a honey and soy stir fry and it's certainly worth the honey syns. 😋
I've been dancing today with a shared afternoon tea. I ate mostly fruit and crudites but a very few syns in some dip and two small squares of rye bread with smoked salmon.
Things are coming slowly together with the new kitchen. Unfortunately it's not usable yet as sink isn't plumbed in and hopefully tomorrow I'll buy new saucepans so I can use the induction hob.
Today I've had fry up for breakfast, ham and LO veg and pickles for lunch and a chicken dinner tonight.
I'm really hoping to WI this week so I can push the New Year WI forward a bit.1 -
Morning all, pleased to say that the windy has finally abated! Can't believe how much stuff was blowing around the garden over the last couple of days. Chairs blown over, a pressure washer, the garden covered in leaves from the neighbour's trees - we haven't got any trees in our garden as it isn't big enough!
Bet you can't wait for your new kitchen @maman but it will be brilliant once it's all done. Take a magnet with you when you go shopping for new saucepans so you can check whether the pans are good for induction - they don't always say if they are; in fact a lot of them will just say Suitable for all cookers but that doesn't actually include induction! I've found my stainless steel saucepans much better than the non stick ones.
We're going up to see DD2 as she did a fish order a couple of days ago and ordered a whole salmon for us for £15! That will be portioned up and into the freezer so will do several meals. She says it looks quite a big fish particularly for the money! Haven't been able to get whole salmon for ages so looking forward to picking that up.
Today's plan:
B - breakfast hash - P; S; F
L - LO lamb tagine, couscous - P; S; F (syns counted yesterday!)
D - roast chicken, roast potatoes, roasted veg, green veg - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - none planned
Syns - none planned
Have a good day everyone.1 -

I took your advice @joedenise and went off to the shops with my magnet! 😁 We've chosen which saucepans we want and some other bits from Ikea. I agree about stainless steel. I've had my current ones for years and they still look amazing. We decided not to get them today as we have a little more measuring to do and tomorrow the sink will be plumbed in so it'll be useful to get out of the way when the water is turned off. Fortunately the city centre is only 3 miles away.
It's been a glorious day today, such a difference from the weekend. It's mild, the sun has been shining and not a cloud in the sky. 👍🏼
I'm sticking to plan for the next 3 days and then Thursday and Friday we're eating out. Thursday is an early Christmas meal with DH's colleagues and Friday for DD2's birthday. It works out well as the flooring is being laid at the end of the week and we won't be able to walk on it while the screed is drying etc. I just have to try and decide whether to go to WI on Thursday morning.🤔
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
L- ham (P), LO veg and pickles (F,S)
D- salmon (P), new potatoes, medley of green stuff (S)
Syns- 0

I'd go to WI on Thursday morning if I were you, particularly with eating out Thursday and Friday. It gives you until pretty much the end of January before you'll need to weigh again.
Glad you decided what you were going to buy even if you didn't get them today.1
