DD2 uses The Upper Scale for her fish deliveries which is mainly London.  They do deliver elsewhere but think the delivery charge is quite high.  It's probably worth looking to see if there's a more local company to you.

Really pleased with the salmon.  Have portioned up one side and got 5 portions plus a tail piece - the tail piece I've frozen to add to fish pies;  DH cut one more portion from the other side so now have 6 portions (3 x 2) in the freezer plus 2 tail pieces for fish pie.

The rest of the 2nd side DH is curing ready for smoking so will have a good amount of smoked salmon to freeze (and eat) once it's done in a few days time.

    Today:

B - fruit salad with pear, apple, grapes and blueberries, plus 100g fat free Skyr and 1tsp maple syrup (1)

L - leftover cooked new potatoes with beans, cheese and a salad of rocket, lettuce, spring onion, cucumber and cherry tomato (HEA)

S - made the pictured free/speed food snack plate for my kids’ after school snack and shared some of it with them (so I only ate a portion of what was pictured!)

D - minestrone soup (containing tinned tomato, sweet potato, cabbage, onion, garlic, herbs, borlotti beans, carrots, leek, beef stock and soup pasta) with 2 small slices wholemeal bread, 10g butter and 15g parmesan. (3.5, HEB, 1/2 HEA)

    🥛 1.5 HEA ✔️
    🌾 1 HEB ✔️
    🍫 4.5 Syns ✔️
🍎 Speed food at each meal ✔️
🚶‍♀️ 8,500ish steps done, hoping to get more as we’re not settled down for the evening yet.
    🤸🏻‍♀️ 22 active zone minutes

I will say the minestrone was not very nice when I came back to it (I made it yesterday). Bland, soggy pasta and the sweet potato was a bad addition as it just made it sweet as well as bland. I rescued it by adding red wine vinegar, smoked paprika and lots of salt and pepper, but still not my finest effort, though Red and Monkey had seconds so clearly didn’t mind!

Not really looking forward to it for lunch tomorrow when the pasta has gone even soggier and I’m considering making something else because the vending machine will call to me if my lunch is rubbish 🙈.

I’ve already prepped overnight oats for tomorrow’s breakfast which I’m dubious about too. I generally put mashed banana, peanut butter and cocoa in my overnight oats which would be about 9 Syns. It seemed a bit decadent so I’ve swapped for 1tsp maple syrup and frozen strawberries and I’ll add sliced banana to top tomorrow. Hoping it will be nice!

Bluegreen i prefer overnight weetabix , not as claggy as oats, i put the weetabiz, then a layer of greek yoghurt, splash of skinny strup, layer of frozen fruit, another layer of greek yoghurt and top it off with more frozen fruit and as it defrosts make the weetabix a bit soggy

Oh Bubbs, the flooding looks awful. Hope everything is calm tonight and stays dry giving it all a chance to go down. Does this affect your work?

I’m a terrible Scots lass as I can’t stand porridge or overnight oats! Rather fond of baked oats though (as long as they are very dry) 😁

Well done on getting to the end of your building works @maman all on plan and at the bottom end of your target. Enjoy looking for all the nice bits and pieces to finish the kitchen off.

Had a pottering kind of day and really enjoyed it! Also did a bit of online shopping to finish off the Christmas shopping.

Didn’t have breakfast as I wasn’t hungry but finished off the bacon medallions and salad in a soft pitta HEXB for lunch. Mid afternoon has some raspberries with Kvarg (0.5 syns) and gammon steaks, new potatoes and roasted veg for dinner.  I might have a hot chocolate later using up some syns and,y second HEXA.
