It's been cold here today but no snow. I think we're too far south for that.

Stayed on plan today, fry up for breakfast, JP and cottage cheese for lunch and gammon with new potatoes and veg for dinner. 👍

Tomorrow promises to be really cold again but sunny. I'm out for lunch but will try to find something SW friendly. 🤞

I agree @beanielou it’s very baltic! -5 when DS left for work this morning. My heating bill this month is going to be a sore one.

The pasta bake last night worked out well and made so much there was enough for lunches today for both of us. I love a leftover lunch. I’m out later for a Pilates class and will post the Christmas cards going abroad on my way home.

Your burger pic made my mouth water @bubbs so having that on Saturday night I think.

    Today’s food:
B - sweet omelette, banana, raspberries, Kvarg
    L - leftover pasta bake
    D - chicken curry, rice
Syns - Kvarg 0.5, counting 3 for chorizo

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, still cold here but at least it's dry and bright.  Have done a machine load of washing which I'll hang out on the line after I've had my coffee.  Hope the weather is better today for everyone.  I won't be venturing out at all today!

Enjoy your meal out @maman.  I'm sure you'll find something SW friendly.  You seem very good at that.

    Today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs on toast - HEB; P
L - stuffed peppers - HEA2; P; S; F (using some of the LO savoury mince but will need to add some couscous to stretch it enough to fill the peppers)
    D - lasagne; air fried frozen chips - P; S; F; 4

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - bread
    Syns - frozen chips 4

    Have a good day everyone.

It's good when a new recipe works well @Jellybaby and I love leftovers! 😋

I've had a lovely day out. I went to a gallery/museum tour in Bournemouth with my art group, then lunch and a walk along the seafront and a mooch in a few shops before catching the train back.

I have had a few syns but not excessive. I had a SW breakfast (porridge and fruit), a JP for lunch with beans and cheese and then spaghetti Bolognese for dinner. There was a drizzle of vinaigrette on the side salad and probably too much HEA for the day with milk and cheese. Then I've had 3.5 syns sharing chocolate with DH.

How do you make the white sauce for your lasagne @joedenise? 🤔

Morning all, it's really cold this morning!  The forecast overnight temperature was -2 or -3 degrees overnight!  There's definitely a frost on the car windscreens!  Our living room temperature had dropped to 15 degrees which is about 3 degrees lower than usual when we get up!

Have to admit my white sauce didn't work out as planned @maman!  I just used a couple of tubes of Primula Light mixed with a bit of boiling water but I added to much water so it was a bit too runny but tasted OK.  I usually just use the cheese sauce mix but wanted to save that for dinner tonight!   I also added some grated cheese to the top.   I reheated some for dinner last night and it was very tasty.  I've also put 4 portions in the freezer so another 2 meals so synwise it's not too bad at HEA plus 2 syns per portion.  Think I'll stick to using the cheese mix when I make it again!

DH has a hospital appointment this morning at Medway so after that we'll pop to the Garden Centre for our free hot drink each (DH usually have the Luxury hot chocolate complete with cream and marshmallows) and I usually have a cup of tea - not wasting syns on a hot drink!  I'll also do my shopping in the big Tesco there as they have a better range of stuff than our local store.

Once we're back home I'm hoping to get a bit more sewing done.  I'm making a sundress for my January holiday - just hope it fits once it's made!

    Today's plan:

B - Weetabix, grapes - HEB; F (haven't got any S fruit and forgot to get the frozen out last night!)
L - mushroom omelette, chips? (depends on time we get home and how hungry we are!) P; S; F?
    D - fish pasta bake - P; S; F; HEA2; 3.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - Weetabix
    Syns - cheese sauce 3.5

Have a good day everyone and wrap up warm if you have to venture out!

Hope your DH’s hospital appointment goes well @joedenise

Another cold one here. My thermal top is getting an airing today. Must say really impressed with the pack I got from M&S. They are silky and thin so you don’t feel bulky but fit snuggly (or maybe that just me 🤣) and very toasty.

Shopping day but have planned meals around what’s in freezer and cupboards and think I can defrost Monday or Tuesday.

    Today’s food:
B - bacon medallions, mushrooms, tomatoes, roll HEXB
L - will probably eat out so either soup or baked potato
D - pork medallions, new potatoes, roasted veg

    Have a good day everyone!

We had some snow this morning, enough for my walking group to be cancelled, but it didn't last long. It's still cold here though, keep warm everyone. 🤗

I love my thermal tops @Jellybaby. They're so smart now (compared with how vests used to be) that I wear them for layering all the time. I've got the thinner ones and the thicker fleecy ones for days like today. Also, I find leggings far more comfortable than opaque tights so I tend to have these as my base layer most days.

Good luck for WI tomorrow @bubbs. I don't think you've had any misdemeanours this week IIRC.🤣

Which brand of cheese sauce do you normally buy @joedenise? I have made my own  using just HEAs and a couple of tbsps of cornflour but it takes a bit of time.

I've had a SW breakfast (fry up) and lunch (lentil soup and sardine salad). DH is out this evening and I'm not very hungry so will have something light like a JP shortly. All on plan.👍🏼
