Follow the procedure in the NEWBIE sticky by completing the AoS; wait until 5 days after issue date (cannot see that as you haven't shown the front page of the N1 form) then log in to MCOL using the defendant's Gateway account. Show us page one, redacting the name, claim reference number, VRM and password.  Make sure we can see the POC.

I think you said that there were 7 PCNs. There are only four on that claim. Might ultimately be to your advantage.

Hope so, but they have passed on the other 3 to other debt collector agencies,  so don't think so, other ones will probably send their own court letters soon.

I'm guessing this is the worse case anyone has ever seen isn't it, 7 PCNs

I'm (relatively) new to the forum but I doubt 7 is the most they've ever seen here. I had 6 PCNs in my case (click my username to find my thread). Long story short they claimed for 2 and I won in court, didn't have to pay a penny. Don't let yourself get distracted by the number of PCNs they're claiming for, all it means is they're trying to scam you for more than they otherwise would. It doesn't affect the facts of your case and if you follow through with the advice given here DCBL will almost certainly discontinue, see evidence in this thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6377263/dcb-legal-record-of-private-parking-court-claim-discontinuations

With a Claim Issue Date of 3rd December, you have until Monday 23rd December to file an Acknowledgment of Service.  Do not file an Acknowledgment of Service before 7th December, but otherwise there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.
Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 6th January 2025 to file a Defence.
That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

Errrr ... far from it!  Nearly half of all court claims involve multiple PCNs.  Often double figures; well over seven (and this claim is only for four). This claim is average. Normal.

The most I recall was 33 PCN's from Horizon Parking to a lady in 2022.  I used her case as a case study for a Public Consultation response I did to inform the Government.  It never went to a court claim.

But this one has (ten PCNs) and Rosey is being assisted by a solicitor poster from this forum:
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c2k0qlpjgk2o.amp

But you don't need that!  The Defendant's case is easy.  Normal for us.

    Just
add brief info about the circumstances but also deny the allegations.  As seen in every thread like this. There are loads of multiple PCN claim threads. We win 99% of the time!

The Defendant only has to add one paragraph to the Template Defence. It's easy.  Please read more threads... I hate providing links. It stops new posters browsing the forum which is a bad thing.

But in the spirit of the Season, here's one showing what to put for para 3, but please look around and read more (saves us from having to reply with the same stuff on thread after thread):
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81139187/#Comment_81139187

That shows you some 'deny the POC' wording to include in your para 3. Just add a line about the circumstances & facts that the D knows, or (if true) that it's too long ago to know any facts.

And of course use the Template Defence but we don't want to be shown it ... please!

Then follow the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread so that you don't need to ask about the DQ questions or the laughable Mediation phone call.  You can be nominated to take the call for him and recuse to offer any money.

We hope that we are only needed again by Defendants at WS & evidence stage next year. The 'first 12 steps' advice saves us all time.

    8 PCNs on this one:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6573787/single-claim-multiple-pcns-using-poc-defence

    13 PCNs in this one:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6573868/defence-statement-dcb-legal

Nobody pays and there is a court mediation stage (phone call) if he really wants to offer £30 or so to make it go away.

But we say defend and win, @eamax
